Story 7 is so upsetting. Addicts are people too! I get that it's frustrating and probably extremely stressful to get all your kids the medicine they need. Needle exchanges and the like are legitimate psychological treatments. Your kids are sick, they are sick and the worst part is that we have been raised to think addicts are horrible people who want to be that way. I'm not even an addict but I recognize that people are people and America doesn't see it that way.

Well, some addicts ARE horrible people. They turn beautiful places into eyesores by using the addictive, dangerous substances they are addicted to, passing out, relieving themselves in public, going crazy, threatening, or assaulting/murdering innocents. They need to be helped, but often they just want to get back on their fixes and get high.
Maybe put dealers of these dangerous substances in prison and away from society. Make their business less profitable. And maybe expose the politicians like Newsom who are in the pockets of the drug cartels.

    Anime Conventions.
You'd think more people attending would be a good thing but it also increased the amount of unsavory people and that makes it hard to meet new people because most people won't give you the time of day if they don't already know you because you might be just another creep or jackass.
I miss the days where you could attend a week-end long convention and have dozens upon dozens of new friends, Nowadays you're lucky if you made one or 2 new friends or even met any of the friends you made before thanks to how bloody crowded it has gotten.
Idk if it's just my local convention or if it's conventions everywhere that it's like this but it's a damn shame.

Story 1 - To answer your question, some people will find any excuse to sue a company.
A few years back, where I work, a couple and their young daughter had just finished dining, and were leaving when their daughter saw the pastel green dome cap for our grease drain and decided it would be fun to jump on it. The guys who come out to drain it had apparently decided to leave it unsecured for "convenience", so when the girl jumped on it, the cap slid open and she fell straight into our grease drain and there was a hub-bub to get her out.
Here's the best part; her parents sued the restaurant, and they settled out of court. The company that drains our grease got yelled at or something, I don't know.

It kinda sucks that over time, things have built to have more and more extreme sides of a coin, instead of a more moderate middle ground. It’s not surprising, it happens in an age where information is diluted with opinion, false statistics, and data that isn’t easy to break down for an everyman, but still. It makes it hard for people to just be average, because now not being average isn’t extreme.

Story 13: That was my experience at the cinimas but finally my town got a 21 or older cinema. It's attached to a popular pub, so no kids allowed. It's great, no whining restless children, no obnoxious teenagers, you can order food (full meals) at your seat, along with alcoholic beverages if you like. Only saw one guy being an idiot there disturbing the movie experience and he was quickly and quietly escorted out by 4 bouncers from the pub, NICE! The tickets are pricey but the seats are like nice recliners, and you can pre-order your seat online so you know you'll get exactly the one you want (back row, center) and the place is immaculate, no sticky floors, seats are cleaned daily, when you don't have kids present you really can have nice stuff 😂

One of my favorite places to see a movie is this old school 1920's movie theater that plays classic Hollywood movies. The place is absolutely beautiful. Its auditorium is designed to look like a Japanese courtyard with the ceiling designed to look like the night sky and whenever they play silent films they have a fully working Wurlitzer pipe organ. Unfortunately places like this are becoming harder to find as costs to run them go up. There was a small town near my city that had a similar theater from the 40's that was having a hard time covering costs. The landlord took an opportunity and sold the building to a developer and now what was a classic movie house is now a parking structure.

Previous student at a JobCorps(basically a free technical training center that can last up to 2 years and is ghetto af). They banned caffeine there, meaning energy drinks and caffeinated coffee, because a bunch of nimrods decided to pound down several drinks and give themself heart palpitations. Keep in mind that the age group of these centers is 16-24. They’ve been drinking caffeine before they entered, like me
Probably the most miserable aspect of there. The same can be said for any drug or alcohol: okay to have in small amounts but when you overdo it, you ruin it for all else(throwing hands when on alcohol, basically being temporarily paralyzed in a way when on marijuana, biting people when on bath salts, etc). But come on man. Seriously? Caffeine? We be needing that when they’re forcing you to wake up before 7am every day

The park near my childhood home had a fantastic wooden playground we dubbed "The Castle." This Playground had several tall slides, monkey bars, tunnels, lots of fun could be had here. After I grew up, this kid climbing up one of the tall slides fell off and hit the wood chips below. I doubt the kid was really hurt since I did the same thing and wound up falling the same way without really being injured but this kid's parents still opted to sue. Needless to say the city demolished the castle for "Safety Concerns" There's still a playground there today but that thing wouldn't entertain a kid older than a toddler.

manners! most all of gen alpha has no idea what manners even are, I am gen z but think and often act closer to gen x, I am the kind of person who gets the door for a total stranger, I have seen them having a full blown fit because their parents wouldn't buy them a $70 game and $300 in toys, if I had done that then I would be grounded for 2 or 3 days at least, maybe even spanked and before you lose it no spanking is rarely abuse, like 97% of the time it is not abuse, now if you are spanking your child so hard that he has bruises on his butt and legs then yeah that probably is abuse, well the few bruises I got growing up were from stupid things I did, NOT from discipline...
