The fact that his views dropped from 20M+ on every video to just a few million max each video now, is the biggest sign that his channel is indeed dying.
Dream’s channel is not dying and I say his face reveal was at a fine time, that’s when he was ready for it. And he also has a life outside of streaming and posting videos just like everyone else, he has friends, time to focus on his mental health, and he still has to to out places.
And for the “Younger audiences who have an attention span of a fish” may be true but as a part of the younger audience I personally have ADHD which affects my attention span a ton but specific videos I’m interested in (including dreams videos) manage to attract my attention and let me focus on it longer.
I’m not mad by the way so don’t respond with “bros mad” or anything like that BECAUSE I’m explaining things.
Dreams channel is not dying, he just deserves breaks and time off without people pushing him to it

The 100 floor survival was also a great video in my opinion, it was interesting some of the time and yes it could get boring or repetitive but that can always happen with any videos.

I think the real thing that caused his viewership to decline so drastically was his nonexistent upload schedule. He did more merch drops last year than he did videos-only 4 videos in all of 2022. You can’t expect to keep tens of millions of people’s attention while doing so little.

His channel has been growing more since techno passed away, he's part of the planets most popular game ever made, his friends all jointly have millions of subs and everytime Dream features those views only go up, Techno passing away hit the entire MC community hard and Dream is one of few keeping Techno legacy alive, he's already said he's working on projects and collabs, he's shown up at events and actually travelling as himself so ofcourse the content will slow but it won't fade. My guess is Techno passing is what made them all want to stop hiding and meeting each other, other than BBH i don't see many others being able to compete with him now but he has a net worth of over 10mill and over 30mil subs..
I think youre right.. techno passing made them realize that maybe there wont be enough time for them to meet. Many lost the chance to see techno in real life and after his passing the group decided it was time to see each other before they lose the chance completely. You never know what might happen.

I would argue that he is indeed a successful gamer UA-camr because yes, while that run was invalid, he still consistently showcases his prowess of Minecraft, and how well he knows the game and excels in it, as we can see in cases of his manhunts and MCC, maybe even in SquidCraft.
@@monobiteme6014 to keep disliking someone for a mistake committed 3 years ago is petty. even so he’s still pretty successful and has the same amount of views as various other successful content creators, genuinely we couldn’t expect him to keep constantly getting 50million+ views specially on the limitations of minecraft, a game that as much as it is still popular it gets progressively harder to get that amount of views.
and as much as those views might mean more money it can also be worse in terms of pressure and inevitably having bad people representing his fandom or large amounts of haters.
so the reduction in his view count is reasonable and has some positive aspects to it. the dude can live his life without feeling the same pressure now, he still got a shit ton of money anyway

I still think Dream has a chance at reviving his career for a few notable reasons:
1) He disproved serious allegations and cleared up common misconceptions, so now the general public won’t see him as “that creepy Minecrafter” anymore and he may get more views as a result.
2) A new series. If his series of Speedrunner vs Titan is what it js hyped to be, I feel like Dream may get more support from fans.
3) Better upload schedule. This is really important. The dude uploads a video every 2 months which can cause people to forget he exists. The fact that he’s been in more Twitter controversies in 2 months than videos made says a lot tbf. A schedule of a video every 2-3 weeks doesn’t seem bad for a guy like Dream. Not too many videos but a reasonable gap to increase hype whilst making sure his fans remember him still. Combine this with tip 4) then he will definitely benefit from it.
4) Staying off of Twitter. If he does this, his reputation will no doubt increase considering most negative opinions about him are because of Twitter stans.

I don’t watch dream but it breaks my hear to see him not being able to be himself on social media, i really don’t get how people would make such a fuss and fun of him by simply doing a “face reveal” video. Its not like he k1lled someone, or hurt anyone at that time, its simply just a face reveal. People really need to think about what they’re going to say before ACTUALLY say it, think about YOUR place when hundreds of people said that to you. His channel isn’t dead, but there are two things that have declined his views:
1. Inconsistent/lack thereof uploading. He doesn’t make content that often. You can’t maintain a massive fan base on a few uploads a year. Channels have been known to implode after even just a week of no uploads - it’s a fickle business.
2. His face reveal was a bad thing for his channel. A good chunk of his fan base were under the delusion that Dream was secretly a male model gamer that they could ‘dream’ about. When his face was revealed, the backlash was big because he no longer fit people’s imaginations. Additionally, his entire brand prior to the face reveal was ‘the mask’, and now that doesn’t apply nearly as well. Not to mention that he came out and said he wasn’t gay for his friend George, which killed off the shipping momentum of his fans. Among other controversies, his channel has suffered losses.

Timing your face reveal when your channel starts declining is actually a smart move and the best time possible to do it. His channel is dying because people just dont care about Minecraft content anymore, and he is not an entertaining guy so without his MC skills he is nothing
