What about soot? Over sheetrock in an exterior but partially enclosed area. What's the best primer for that?

I used kilz glaze bathroom primer sealant for mold and mildew over nictone stained painted walls. I let it dry than used a bathroom wall paint. The nicotine seems big brown spots right through. Especially where the shower steam hits. I skim coated an area w mud and it doesn't seep through their. What you think???

Any tips/ advice for negotiating a Used car at a dealer? I do plan on paying in cash, the car is (7700) what would you recommend what target price I should strive for?
It’s a 2012 Honda Accord Ex-L (outside the Boston ma area)
    135,100 miles
    2 owners
2 accidents (it was minor but repaired)
Needs new tires, ball joints, brake pads and rotors
Natural wear and tear on the leather seats so a couple small rips on Seats and carpet but it doesn’t bug me.
    - counting today it’s been on the lot for 79 days
When I plug in all the info and vin KBB,carfax, true car, cars etc range the cars trade in value of 5000-6700

what's the VIN? Does it have a V6?
The low end of comp sales in the region in fair condition is ~$8k. But you're talking about potentially $2,000-$3,000 in repairs.
I would give an itemized list of your understanding about all the work that needs to be done and offer $5,500. And I wouldn't pay more given the accident history and scope of the work.
They may not accept your offer but surely another car will come along. If you can get it for that price and pay the additional amount for the necessary repairs then you'd have a car in good working order for a great price.

      @@notwaitingtolive it’s not a V6. it’s a 4 cylinder 4dr sedan. The vin is: 1HGCP2F83CA168846
And yes you’re totally right about repairs. I went and got it inspected about and the mechanic did say about 2k worth of repairs again thank you for your insight. And hopefully another car will come along.

The average wholesale price of that car "as is" is ~$5,000 and lists on average for ~$8,000. In fair condition the wholesale price is higher ~$6,500 and lists for almost $10,000. Maybe go up to an offer of $6,000 at the highest, but still start at $5,500.
