  • It is time to reassemble the Tarter sheeted sweep tub, adjustable alley, and Cattlemaster Series 6 squeeze chute. It's late summer, the cattle need to be worked, and I have an hour and a half to pull this together. Just me, my New Holland Workmaster 75, and several solid steel components weighing hundreds of pounds.
Full transparency: I have a competitive advantage over those who are buying this system new and have never seen it together. This is my second time assembling the system. If you purchased this system, or something similar, I think you will find it fairly easy to assemble, provided you have the right tools (which includes merely 1 tractor and 1 set of pallet forks on said tractor).
Pro Tip: Run your box blade over the surface for the sweep tub and alley before assembly. This will make your life much easier. If the ground isn't level, your back will be aching tomorrow. Guaranteed!
Sorry for the lack of close up shots and detailed instruction. The purpose of this video was to show it is possible to put this together in an hour and a half, without the help of a crew.
Also, and much more exciting, I was proud to showcase the single best truck accessory I have ever purchased. R&D Truck Accessories in La Grange, TX just added a few items to my Chevrolet 2500 Z71 Silverado. My favorite, of all time, is the 50 gallon fuel transfer tank and pump. No longer will I fill my tractor with diesel fuel from 5 gallon cans. This is the easiest way to manage fuel needs and deploy fuel when and where needed. I am straight up Ranch Rich this weekend!
Don't judge the pastures. Very few in Central Texas have green grass this month. We haven't seen rain since May. I am down to a herd of 11 and feeding hay to help limp through to the seasonal rains I pray are coming in the next few weeks. This too shall pass. The pastures will be green again and, at some point, we will be dealing in abundance, versus scarcity. Keep the faith my brothers and sisters!
Thank you for watching and supporting the channel. Wishing you and yours a wonderful week.

LOL. You are extremely insightful. I enjoy working alone or with the company of Lady and Kloey. There’s something to be said about the mental clarity that accompanies solitude and working through problems and projects. Thank you for watching and supporting the channel. You are why we do this!
