Considering there's damn near no way to control your odds of actually getting a mushroom space, it's probably for the best to gloss over MP1 regardless.

unfortunately I think you missed a few Mario Party Mushrooms, specifically Star Rush, the Top 100, and Super Mario Party, which all have Dash Mushrooms
you CAN eat a mushroom in odyssey! you just need to complete the entire story first to gain access to the only area that has mushrooms, and also the capture that's capable of eating things finding a 1-up mushroom or life shroom in any of the previous 3d titles would be much faster
I would highly recommend playing Super Paper Mario all the way through. The story is very, very well done. It's by far my favorite story of all Mario games ever.

The big round toad is explained a while later. The main villain gave everyone a special type of mushroom that made them that way in order to take over the kingdom easier.
17:17 - one thing I will say (as the person who is probably Dream Team's number one fan), is that the game has extremely witty, especially for random townspeople. Frankly, it's able to give even Earthbound a run for its money in that department, which is high praise indeed. In addition, the battle system is very fun, with the badge system being one of my favorites in any game. My only complaint with the badges is that they take a tad too long to charge. It's not without its faults, but Dream Team is very, very good in my opinion.
In mario party 1, there are mushroom spaces where you could get a normal mushroom for an immediate extra roll or a poison mushroom where you lose your next turn.
I'd argue that the 1-UP mushrooms in SM64 and Sunshine are still technically mushrooms, and adding some green into the mix would definitely improve our Plumber's health.

Ok, just a couple corrections: 1. The Golden Mushroom actually originates from Mario Kart 64, not Mario Kart Wii. 2. In Mario Kart Double Dash!!, Toad and Toadette do not actually give higher chances of mushrooms. What they do get is the Golden Mushroom as their special. So there wouldn't be an advantage to playing as them.
