I got the Platinum trophy in Tomb Raider III, but boy was it insane. Here's the story of how I got it.

I was given the option to change or remove the track, so I could monetize the video, but I've decided to keep it because I think the skit would be worse without it. I agree entirely; it was the most challenging Tomb Raider game and was traumatizing when I played it as a kid. As an adult, I had to face my fears with this game hahahaha

The soundtrack of Turok 2 is just amazing
This was without a doubt the most challenge platinum i've faced in a long time... and I loved it. It's my fav game of all time. But having to wait for the patch to play All Hallows was a pain, I feel proud though I'm the 7th to platinum it, thank you for reminding me the pain i went through! 😪🤣
Ugh man, yeah... That first month after the release was just brutal in terms of bugged trophies 😩 Luckily I didn't begin Tomb Raider III until after it had been patched, but I had my fair share of bugged trophy misery in the first game...
And damn, 7th in the world!? That's extremely impressive, congratulations! 😮😎

In my game, the 4th Soldier for the Wilderness Instructor achievement drowned in the shallow pool in the T-Rex cave, which was bizzare. Luckily I had a save at the start of the level and I rushed it in 10~ minutes before he managed to unalive himself again.
You are not the first person who's told me that, that's so stupid! 😂 Forget about dinosaurs, those morons need to be saved from themselves first and foremost!

This game took me 85 hours to get the platinum. One of the hardest Tomb Raider games I’ve ever played so far.
For sure, it's insanely difficult in certain levels.
That was a sweet act of revenge at the end, but honestly you could've cranked it up to 11, by entering the all weapons cheat code and using the rocket launcher, now that would've been the most epic way to end the abusive relationship between those two.
Hahaha, awww, that's what I should've done! 😂 And then I would just stand there and cuss out a body that's not even there...

Quick tip for anyone struggling with the Wilderness Instructor trophy. There is a raptor up in the trees in an earlier part of the level with guys underneath the tree trying to aim at it. Make sure you leave the raptor alive so that all the guys stay drawn to it rather than wandering around in the open area near the end of the level. As soon as you can use the cannon near the end of the level blast the wall away and run straight to the level end and the raptors will be nowhere near all the guys still fixed on trying to kill the raptor in the tree. I know its too late for yourself buddy but hopefully others may see this who are having trouble and get some benefit from it. Anyways this is a great video dude I really enjoyed it. Along with a congratulations and big respect to anyone who can get all the achievements/trophies for this fantastic remaster.

23:40 I found that shooting a soldier once with your pistols and making them shoot at you causes the raptors to prioritize you instead of the soldiers.

Yeah, Tomb Raider II was easier in terms of saves, but I actually found the combat harder.

Ill never forget as a kid when my dad got me tomb raider 3 and strategy guide for Christmas. I cried my eyes out i was so happy. We had rented tomb raider 2 from hollywood video and i was so devastated whenever we had to return it so my dad got me tomb raider 3 for Christmas (it just came out in November). I still have the poster that came in the strategy guide up on my wall lol. I was 10 and i wanted to be Lara Croft so bad lol

What a worthy finale of the platinum trophy run! The videos became better and better with every game, the wilderness instructor montage being a pinnacle of art, chefs kiss. @@AxMania Finally. All 3 platinums achieved! With limited crystals the water section in Lost City of Tinnos was pure hell.
The statues in the fire element area in Tinnos are dragons. I thought that was obvious.
Sometimes I say something goofy or whatever to spice up my script a little, otherwise it'll just be me describing things non-stop.

Well done, that looked brutal. I got to the second to last level on ps1 I think, was doing the lever puzzle and stopped playing for whatever reason. Then I tried to solve the puzzle later but was so confused cos I'd saved the game mid puzzle! Haha.

Just a tip for everyone struggling with Wilderness Instructor: simply get to the area with the first 2 soldiers and do the glitch to bypass the wall and end the level.
Since it's a trophy unlocked at the statistics screen, you can glitch and still get it. The setup for the glitch is very easy (look at youtube).

I just completed Tomb Raider 3 for the first time ever about a month ago, and the pain & difficulty of this game is still fresh on my mind. I got stumped in India as a kid and never finished it. I loved (almost) every second of it- I felt so incredibly proud any time I finished a level and made progress. Beating it was one of the most rewarding feelings I've had at a game's end! Too bad I didn't get all the secrets... time to do it again :)

@@AxMania I was so concerned when I started TR3 because I was NOT enjoying it... Jungle was great, but probably my most unpopular opinion is that India was my least favorite lol. The cobras are a no from me. It was just such a brutal start to the game- perhaps I'll change my mind on a replay!
I absolutely loved Nevada!! Definitely my favorite portion. Though I really loved at least one level from every region! It was incredibly challenging and frustrating at times, but overall a ton of fun. I love how different all three games feel from each other!!
@@mondily Aww, no, I get it. I hated India when I was a kid, and I still hate those cobras. Plus, that chapter is just so dark and eerie - and brutal! I'm not sure how well it works as the opening chapter of the game. I've learned to adore those India levels over the years however, but I totally get you!
Ah yes, Nevada is awesome! And I agree, the diversity in these first three games is so good. They are quite similar as games, but they still feel very different.

Congratulations on getting TR3 platinum! Plus it would have been nice to have the "Choppa!" part from Predator added when earning "Get to the choppa!" trophy for the reference. Plus here's a hint for "Wilderness instructor": In the area where you climb a tree to drop a raptor body to distract piranhas leave one of the raptors in the trees alive. All the soldiers in the main crash site will gather to tree area and shoot the raptor practically locking them in the area and saving them from endless raptor assault once you start the turret part.

Wow! To platinum all 3 remasters is some feat of achievement! I'm just happy to play through all 3 games again. I've completed 1 & 2 and am just starting TR3 now. I don't think I'll ever get the platinums 😂😂😂 I keep trying to get the trophy in TR2 where you kill all the enemies in the ballroom of Lara's house with the music playing. I can't do it 😂👍 Great videos and well done on getting the platinums. Difficult is an understatement in these 3 games 🔫🔫

I would struggle on tomb raider 1 to combine the speedrun, pistols only and new game plus in one run and I know that game very well. I couldn’t imagine doing that on 3. Congrats
I’m going to play through them all again next year and try to plat them all. Managed to get nearly all the trophies on the ps5 version. Only one I’m confident I can actually do is the first one

Actually, I suppose it's not really a cornerbug, but something else. I looked it up myself. Lara needs to sprint to this platform, just across a corner of swamp, during which the player must release the sprint button and hold the action button instead. Then Lara will sort of fall through the cliff, and land on top of it 😅
