Great Tutorial Connie, you never disappoint. Loved your finish too, reminds me of the Mona Lisa, don't know why.... you have flowers not a lady,🤔 must be the dark colours... beautifully done, always wondered how to do pinstripes! Learn loads from you, always do, great to see your u-tube following taking off too, and it will, partly because of what you do, but mostly because of you, your humour, love the fact that you are right down to earth, fantastically good at explaining every little detail, excellent teacher! I'm a darks paint girl, you've even got me looking at Greens! 😱 dark of course! 😉 thank you very much for taking time to do these tutorials, I know its your time and you do them free of charge. Much appreciated. Next u could do a Dark Green and leave some wood, I know u do occasionally leave the wood, when its in good shape.
I've ran into this problem, trying to decoupage over black paint and my images barely showed up 🤦♀️ Can I use ANY white base coat under it then? Or does it have to be the drop cloth stuff?
Lol--this has nothing to do with painting furniture, but I want you to know that even if I wasn't trying to absorb every shred of knowledge you impart, I'd still watch your videos everyday just to listen to you! It isn't just your fantastic accent (that's 78% of it!), it's also 20% the adorable colloquialisms--faffin' about, cracking on...your quips are being properly assimilated into Baltimorese! Oh, and the last 2% are the occasional digs at Crys'Dawna (whom I adore as well!). The sassy back and forths with her create a climate of community...it's sisterly (I have 5 girls). It's so indicative of the supportive, fun nature of this industry and the human ability to build connections in ways we couldn't have imagined. It's just this un-contrived display of how genuinely and graciously you and so many others give of your time and energies. I've come to, not only appreciate it those little punchy remarks, but I count on them--and that makes it real. Don't misunderstand--my life is VERY full already--but, you toss me extra bits of joy! Thank you for being a highlight in my day.
@@paulaprice2863 actually, Paula, you misunderstood. I was referring to my comment, not the video. I'm aware that the video is about painting furniture...all Faff Designs videos are about refinishing furniture. MY COMMENT was not about painting furniture. It was about how much MORE Connie's videos contribute to the refinishing community.

Any white base will work! I always use a white or as close to white as possible 😃
