My friend is a pro guitarist (I meen by that he never ever bother learning anything else except for guitar) so he has a bunch of good 1500USD+ instruments, but plays 99.99% of his gigs on a 150USD guitar he bought in China. But it does the trick.
Watch out for the Yamaha rabbit hole! I've got their bass guitars, a little mixer/interface(AG06), a killer home stereo receiver, and I even just picked up my first acoustic guitar, an FS820! their stuff is SO good!
I’ve been playing for over 30 years and I’ve had a Rickenbacker 4003, an American Fender jazz bass and a Sterling Ray34 but right now my favorite is a Sterling Ray4HH. It just feels, plays, and sounds perfect for me. I don’t care that it’s a $350 bass. Play what you like and don’t worry about the price.
Solid advice!
Came here from talkbass just now, thank u sm!
Than you for the video, btw!
Great advice! 😁👍
This is huge based on my recent choices and experiences
Been digging your videos too!.....wishing you a great new year
I recommend going to guitar center because of the selection, which ever bass grabs your attention first, try it out.
Always great to hear from you.....Happy New Year

Hugs to the family and Happy New Year
Absolutely on point! You've got to get a bass that you can't put down and inspires you to practice more.
Hey Rib, great advice. I'm partial to the Sterling basses for low price and exceptional quality.
Definitely a great pick!

My First bass is a 78 american jazz bass of my dad
I know I'm going to be playing bass for years to come, but I look at instruments at the bottom of the range because I'm broke AF lol
