Let's applaud the wife for coming forward and standing for an innocent child that isn't her own child. Some wives will not even speak up for their own children because they want to maintain their lifestyle.

@Becky Francis don’t be surprised by these women on the panel. I’ve found them to be lacking in past situations like these. I’m assuming their own homes have skeletons so they don’t feel able to throw stones in their glass houses.
It’s usually women who are the gatekeeper of other women speaking their truth and are the last to support them. Hoping the next generation will do better!

This is heartbreaking and highly traumatic! Big heart to Remi Olaleye for not covering up for this pervert.
I had similar experience with the father of my daughters that slept with my housemaid for a while way back in 1980s. In his own case,he used juju to make me immobile even when I woke up. I don't know how he did it but I broke the power one night. I got round it by ordering my maid to lock my daughters room from inside at night (she was sleeping in my daughters room) and not open it for anybody before daybreak except me. Hell was let loose when i got up d following morning at 5.30 a.m. to prepare for work and get my children ready for school. This beast of man came out of d study like a charged bull asking what i meant by making my maid lock d room from inside bla bla bla. That day,i took power back from him! Suffice to say that it marked d end of my relationship with him.
I still can't wrap my head round why dr. Olaleye has not been prosecuted! He should rot in jail and in Hades!
I will find time to listen to his submission too.

This mother is one in a million she has shown other women that no matter how much you value your marital status if 😮something like this is committed you as a mother should stand up and tell the world. If you as mother you try to protect such a monster then you’re promoting child abuse. There’s no need to consider asking this man he’s going to create lies and lies. Let’s think about the child and what she says period! I salute this mother for being so brave. This is a big lesson to most women. Do not trust a man to be with any child alone children need protection. She’s a good woman and she’s hurting inside and wishing that she should’ve noticed something earlier. She doesn’t deserve to be tormented anymore. Let’s put ourselves in her shoes and see how painful it is.

Last month a Redeem Christian Church of God pastor has been in the media. He has been raping his own biological daughter since she was 15 years old now she’s 18 going to 19 years old now and his wife the lady’s mother who bore the lady for him has always silence their daughter from speaking up against her husband who is her father before the appropriate authorities and the church of God.
The Pastor and his wife places their societal “Status above humanity”
I pray God heals the victim.
That’s why I really love to thank Mrs. Remi Olaleye once again for standing up for humanity and her niece at the thought of a biological mother silencing her own daughter that her father rapes.

I have always advocated women not being financially dependent on their husbands. There is a need for you to be able to solve some of your problems before the man would be called to add whatever he is bringing. This issue of wanting a man that will "take good care of me" is very problematic. This woman is self-sufficient from the storyline. If she is the type that won't be able to take care of herself with or without the husband, the story would have been totally different.
The era of 'what is a man there for' should be seriously looked into. I have heard ladies talking about not willing to be called to bring some things to the table (I am the table). You are not the table. You are a partner that is supposed to have some kinds of stuff you are bringing to the table in order to strengthen the relationship.
Parasitic lifestyle is not a virtue.

Trust a doctor at your own risk o. I encountered something like this when I was just 12years. I came from school to do a general medical checkup required for my school record. I did the blood test, etc, and it was remaining my eye test. He told my dad to stay outside his office and he asked me to come in. In those days the alphabet calendar was always behind the doctors door. But instead of him to ask if I can see the letters, he asked me to remove my clothes and lie down. I was confused but I still did it anyway. The next thing I felt was his mouth on my nipples. I jumped up and he asked me not to shout. The only thing I could do was to put my clothes on and walked/ran out of the room. I couldn't tell my father what happened when I got out and unknown to my father, he asked me to say thank you. I didn't. My father thinking I was rude, scolded me and he matched me to the car, because of this, I couldn't tell my father what happened. And I kept it to myself for a long time.
That was our family hospital for years o.

The questions could have been better and give the woman Remi time to express herself. Nigeria and their crap legal justice hopefully he gets the full punishment for his actions. In the UK if such behaviour happened in the hospital he would have been disqualified and do jail time. The evidence is there, Nigerian society enables abusers. @@adenikedurojaye3456 I agree with a lot of your points here, but I don’t agree or like where you stated that why did the child endured or enjoy that for that long? Please take that word “enjoy” out when it comes to children. I understand Nigerians have a long way to go in learning about child molestation. Let me tell you, most children all over the world don’t tell when they are being molested because of fear of being blamed or being outcasted or shame. Especially when the perpetrators threatened to harm them if they tell anyone. In this case, that so called doctor was threatening to harm or kill the girl if she ever tell anyone. So as parents, we have to be vigilant and trained our children to tell us God forbid something like this happen. We have to create loving and trusting relationships with them so they can be comfortable telling us anything. This your comment about “enjoy” is why we continue to have all this problem of rape and molestation in the country. That country need a lot of training on empathy and training a girl child even a boy child
