I discovered your channel a short while ago and now I am addicted! Great videos, editing and sceneries. I traveled the USA for 2 years on my bike and I got tired of campgrounds. Most of them nowadays don't have many tent spots and when they do, you are either next to the highway or rail road track. You can pay a lot for those camps (up to $45/day) and when you ask for electric to charge a cellphone and maybe a laptop they tell you its $8.00/day! Then someone shows up next to you with a 45 footer RV with 3 flat screens, 2 A/C, induction cook top, microwave, sub zero fridge and they pay $90/day! They don't like campers anymore especially motorcycles! Anyway, I love your travel videos. Rich's cooking is okay but you must teach him that rice and potatoes are not vegetables! Have a great ride wherever you might end up at! Watching you from Roma, Italy. Ciao
You guys are getting a lot closer to glacier. Let me know if you head this way and I'll try to get you a fun spot. Trains have to love them. We camped at the state campground on whitefish lake once. Trains all night. I'm continuing to enjoy your adventures.
I love how you show all sides of your new lifestyle. The good, the not so good. I always look forward to your next video. Stay safe, and continue having fun.
We stayed at a campground out west, as we checked out, the campground host gave me a keychain that said " I survived the night of a thousand trains".....i laughed and said, I never heard anything!!! I love the sound of a train, it's music to my ears!!!! Another time,,,my wife and I were so tired, I was falling asleep....3 am we were trying to ride all night and get through the desert (so hot) we stopped for a quick nap,,,,was damp and cold, we wrapped ourselves in the cycle cover like a big hotdog, hopped a few feet fell to the ground and went to sleep. About 15 minutes later we hear the loudest train horn....we were a foot from a train tract,,,and here comes the train!!!! We scrambled to get loose from the cover and crawled to safety,,,,,was funny later,,,,a lot later,,,,but we still laugh about it !!!!!
Welcome to Northern Idaho LOL In my neck of the woods.. It was surreal watching you go up HWY 2, Laclede, Priest River, through Sandpoint etc... The trains going through town is something everyone gets used to "eventually" We had a sailboat at the marina in Sandpoint, the trains are non-stop... Sometimes the driver would blast the horn as they go across the bridge just to say "Hi" When you said "redecorating" I thought you were going to get a NEW tent !!! Are you downloading the maps to use offline ?
We had a similar experience on the bikes when we were in the middle of no where with a road closure for construction. Took a local Ranger to point us in the right direction which was a dirt road for 5 miles. Stay safe, cheers
My buddies and I were camping once after a motorcycle repair in Oregon, go a late afternoon start having picked the bike up so didn't have time to travel far before dark. We ended up in a park, under a railroad trestle. Not a single train came over until sometime in the middle of the night! Not something I would care to do again! Also lots of trains if you camp at Rogue River rest stop area in Oregon.
I remember camping at a resort near Glacier and the trains coming through there at all hours of the night and day....ahh good times. It was all worth it though, riding the bike up and back on the Highway to the Sun, what a great adventure.
Eric Sandberg Eric, camp inside the park. No trains there. The Great Northern RR serves the park hotels. I especially like Many Glacier and Rising Sun. Good tenting at both.
Down load google maps and then download offline maps for the areas that you are going. Used that a lot when we lived in Colorado where there are areas that do not have cell service. My.maps is another good one as well.
Lol, I live next to a rail line. Though no crossings directly by my home, there are two down the ways. I’m still amazed at the amount of gear you two have and can bring along with two cycles and a trailer. Hope all is well!

Cris’s home moving service. No wheels needed. What a gal. Oh yes, and I know about the cell phone gps issue. Was just touring WV and you only get good service on Interstates and large cities. My Garmin works everywhere, but...it frequently thinks I want to go over the hill on a 1 lane road. Doable on a Goldwing but it makes me wonder if it will turn into a dirt track before my destination. Ah, adventures.
We learn so much after we were there. However the parks around Priest Lake were full. Private and state parks. But we a reason to return. It’s beautiful there for sure
Getting lost can be fun. But with the limited gas on a motorcycle it can be nerve wracking at times. And that’s why you should always have a dedicated GPS with you. Alan
@@TwoWheelsBigLife No need for a GPS Unit these days. Phones have a gps antenna built in, which works as good as a GPS unit. No need to have cell service at all! a simple GPS is dirt cheap, a cell phone uses data even if you have a built in GPS antennae. you can download the sections or area that you need but you never know where your wanderings are going to take you. As an added bonus, some gps units have a shortest route setting that has brought me down some very interesting roads.
