- We make our way from Copper Harbor, MI to Munising, MI where the area continues to not disappoint - well maybe except the solar, which isn’t cooperating in these heavily treed areas - oh, and maybe a bit of a burnout on our part.
But after overcoming some negativity, we brushed ourselves off and set out to explore the area.
One place we wanted to check out was the Soo Locks - referred to as one of the great wonders of the world. It’s considered one of the busiest waterway systems and watching huge vessels pass thru the Locks is a unique experience we didn’t want to miss. Definitely encourage you to add this one to your own bucket list when in the Upper Peninsula area - you’ll thank us later!

look how green it is there. rain and motorcycle dont mix very well. but that rain makes it so beautiful. what a way to see America. it will be time to head south again. you're only a state away. one atate at a time.

I love rainy days while motorcycling. My best friend Dave and I rode from Kentucky to Chile, S.A. We also made several trips to Central America and to Northern Michigan in January to watch m/c ice racing.
Its about time to pack up and head to Arizona for the sun and warmth for the winter.
Still an interesting video, even though you were a bit down with the weather. Perhaps a short holiday away from the bikes and camping is in order? Take a break and go visit family and friends for a couple of weeks. Just a suggestion.
I like your take on pigs in blankets. Slightly different here in Scotland. We are big into pigs in blankets at Christmas. Ours are sausages wrapped in strips of streaky bacon. Perhaps we should call ours pigs in pigs, just to avoid any confusion. Great honest video. God bless.
Richard and Kris.....kudos to the both of you.....looks like you have the bugs worked out and know how to help each other out tearing down and loading up. Practice makes perfect and things seem to be going much smoother! Rubber side down....shiny side up.
Ha! I just passed through Sault Ste Marie but on the Canadian Side about 3 weeks ago. And I got rained on too! Hoping to hit the south shore of Lake Superior next summer if the borders open up. We should swap notes if you want to visit the Canadian side. Lots of natural beauty (and some mechanical stuff for Richard too!). Hang in there guys, the little 'depression' in Chris' energy at the 15 min mark was palpable. I hope you know how much joy and inspiration you bring to so many of us. Be well. R
Don't cha know you don't need new tires until the center is smooooooth. That's how some folks think anyway. Them smoothies aren't so good in the rain though. :)
Watching your videos/adventures NEVER gets old. Ive mentioned before that y'all are living the life probably 95% of us who ride dream about every day. Yes being on the road is not all unicorns and rainbows as you mentioned........but the memories and experiences good and bad are PRICELESS. this has been a very bad year for me riding wise. Only took one trip...subsequently was selling/buying a house and ran into some issues with that, prolonging the process, so your with your videos it feels as if im taking trips through/with y'all.... THANK YOU,....ride safe
You two are real troupers. I can only camp out in a tent for one or two nights per Summer. Three times in the past three years, I have reserved tent sites for two nights and gave up after one. I simply got too cold or too uncomfortable. Then again, I am 70 now so I have a lot less tolerance for discomfort.
