In 1978 I was at World of Wheels in Boston. It was a car show displaying antique cars. I was 12 years old & my biggest crush was there. I was so nervous I ran up to meet him, I kissed him on the cheek & ran away. I always regret not talking to him. His name is Scott Baio. 😊
I have a big regret from my childhood. On vacation in Santa Cruz Ca, my family and I were having dinner at the yacht harbor and Dustin Hoffman was at the table next to us. My Mom was so excited! She asked him for a photo and he graciously said yes. I, being a kid didn't want to stand next to him for a picture. I didn't know who he was until Rainman... 😭
Things happen in life, don't beat yourself up over it. I'm so glad I found your channel here on youtube! I really relate to you and feel that you are more genuine, than almost all celebrities. Thanks for posting and being a real human being! I am also a fan, but appreciate you the person more.
I remember that night. I have a picture of us sitting there front row and a picture of Paul and Linda. I still talk about that night. I know I thanked you, but I thank you again, my friend. Talk soon....Dr. Jim
Love you love you love you Scott Baio! Enjoy the life we have. Mine has been going well until today at 6pm as I turn into the church parking lot. Keep the videos coming. #Wings for life. Loved them!!
Scott, it was the end of November 1989. MAC played 5 nights. A friend of mine also who worked at the The Great Western Forum got me in, front row. I was there 3 nights. I was there the night you were. You were sitting a few seats away from me and my buddy. I saw Linda waving during "JET!" but wasn't sure who she was waving at until my friend tells me shes waving at Baio. Okay so right in the middle of "JET" no singing we see Paul go up to Linda like you said and we did see her point. Now we do see MAC look at you like "Come on" then we look over at you and your still sitting lol. If it had been me i would have froze, no lie. Hey man you got to see him, the concert was badass so what more could you ask for. These things happen. When i saw him in 76 that was really badass. Later Man
Scott who and what you are is an amazing, dedicated family man who just happens to have been on TV once or twice. Thank you for sharing these moments with us. Nice to know that even in Hollywood there are still real people.
That's really cool that Paul knew who you were and was a fan of your show. I'm a huge Beatles and Wings fan as well as a fan of all the Beatles member's solo work. Their music really stands the test of time.
That was awesome !! I could just imagine how you felt knowing that Paul McCartney knew who you were was aware of you and watched you on TV with his daughter, you didn't blow it Scott, even if you feel you did, that story will be with you forever. Thanks for sharing. Peace.
Sometimes don't you wish we all could push a rewind button, and do a do over?!!!! I saw Paul McCartney in 2001, a few months after 9-11...I will never forget that concert as long as I live.
Thank you for sharing! I love story time. I think we all have times where we want to kick our own butts. I had a friend who got box seats with VIP backstage passes for MCartney. He didn't go! I asked him why didn't he offer the tickets to me! He didn't think I would want them! I almost fainted!
Such an awesome experience you had there, Scott. I love listening to it, and am very glad to hear that Paul McCartney is a fan of your too. When I got to see you and the other 4 teen stars at Six Flags the day before I turned 16 years old. I had a chance to get Jon Whelmsey's autograph, but my shyness got in the way, and he knew I had back down too, which made him a tad bit sad about it too. When I had my courage again, it was too late, he was already in one of the two white limos that were waiting to pick all you guys up. Since then, I've been much stronger...but not yet perfect it... about not making such regrets when it comes to such great and awesome opportunities. I have never seen the Bee Gees in concert, but I did see a group 3 times called Night Fever do an awesome tribute to the Bee Gees. The 3rd time I saw them, they took real notice of my love for the Bee Gees and Night Fever. The guy who represents Robin asked my name while they were all up on the stage and I was in the Pit seat. He got the audience to chant my name after he asked me if I wanted a kiss. Oh my...of course I do. I walked up to the front of the stage, as he bend down to the floor to greet me. We gave each other a hug, and since I am a married woman of 33 years, I let "Robin" kissed me on my cheek, and I did the same in return. This was the 3rd time in my life I was put on a special public pedestal, the first 2 times were for maturity/wisdom of the important things of life. Only one of them you may know, Brent Spiner best known as Data of Star Trek - The Next Generation, back in 1994. IF I wasn't married, I think I would have kiss "Robin" on the lips....but nothing further than it. In the LONG run, Scott, I have learn over the years, that no matter what the situation may be, when you are greatly blessed with such an awesome rare opportunity such as these...ACCEPT IT...for it is truly one of the very best feelings/experiences...and most memorable experiences... in the world which you'll never regret which is very much unlike the experience of backing away from these types of genuine blessings that comes in some people lives.
I'd die if I met paul McCartney. I vas a Beatle fan when a was a little child. I'm 57 now so it's been a long time. I always wanted to see him. I wanted to but he was playing so far way from me. Now I'm disabled now, so I gave up on the dream of seeing him.
Great story. Who is your favorite rock band? I liked The Beatles a lot but then heard "Heartbreaker" by Led Zeppelin and was entranced. I saw Zeppelin live, at the Forum, in '70, '72, '73, '75 and '77. Six sold-out nights in 1977. They visited Rainbow a lot. They were incredible.
Fall 1989 .... I was at the same concert! I remember you being there (they may have called out your name). I was in the nose bleed section - back and somewhat on the left side of the stage.

Kevin Costner performed at the Calgary Stampede with his band on the Coca Cola stage back in 2011, I think. It was standing room only, and I'm an avid photographer, so I waited there two hours before the concert started. His music was pretty good, kinda country rock, and I also took some up close pictures of the man while he was performing, lol. I thought it was a great opportunity to photograph a movie star! :)
I had a "Dancing In The Dark" experience many years ago when I was a teen. I was about 2 rows from the stage & one of the guitarists motioned me over. So I went over to the edge of the stage, thinking he was just going to shake my hand or something equally silly. (?silly? lol) Anyway, he reached down to pull me up on stage & I panicked. I can't leave my friends, how will I find them after the concert ends to get home?!?! D'oh! I've kicked myself repeatedly for this for 25 years or so! Love your story though, much better than mine! I can't even remember the name of the band! rofl
Scott, I have followed you ever since happy days. You had a very good career some bad choices but good career overall you’re good. I like the fact that you say don’t do drugs and don’t drink alcohol. I feel you’re honest man and there aren’t many celebrities that are positive and honest I wouldn’t feel bad about Aaron. Cancer is a terrible thing. Nobody wanted to see her suffer. We all thought it with all the tabloids and social media putting it out there you just made the mistake of saying it out loud and being a celebrity. Take it easy when it comes to that.

Mr. Baio, Thank you for your honesty and candor. I tend to beat myself up a lot over things from the past too. Believe it or not, I beat myself up over that too! It's usually something someone else wouldn't find that big of a deal, but to me, it just makes me feel stupid. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who does that. really great story Scott
Ilike Scott Baio awesome actor, performer, singer Heis anice and kind person😍🤩🤩😇
no, he met Billy Shears
That is the most painful story I have ever heard. What I would give to have Sir Paul even acknowledge I exist let alone sing with him.
What a story!! Holy Crap!!
Hi scott love to see you !
I don’t blame you Scott. I wouldn’t have done it either if I didn’t get a heads up first.
Wow! Thank you for sharing! If I were in your shoes at that moment I would've literally fainted, pee'd on myself...or both...Not necessarily in that order😂I've been a fan of each member of the Beatles since I was 7...Which would make me a fan for 50 years😳
kewl story... I saw Paul with Wings over America in 76... the first concert I ever saw and the best I ever saw.. and I have seen them all..
