These 2 videos were so much fun! We might not be able to fully recognize Stewart's face if we saw him out in public. But that voice and the deep chuckle would give him away every time!

I love these little glimpses of Stewart...poker, pipes, guitar, videography, and he knows the aesthetics of more stores and designers than I do. He's a renaissance man! These two videos were a lot of fun. Thanks!

Imagine shopping, then finding yourself in an old magazine along the way! Fame.
Stewart has the most pleasant voice and a nice laugh. He seems laid back and chill.
    And handsome.
This place has a lot of great vintage kitsch...that's what we used to call it.
Agreed - very nostalgic memories of childhood and growing up.
ie: I had that Sonny & Cher album.

I just love that the copper pot has feet. I think you should get it! I have that green birdhouse with the metal roof. I’ve always loved it but need to find way to display it better. Those picnic baskets make great storage pieces I have a stack of them and used them to hold pool towels when we lived in FL. Love Stewart’s laugh!

Linda, I love to hear the different ways you would repurpose some of the items in the shop. I especially like the idea of the footed candle holder and use it for Christmas instead of a tree. I could spend all day in that shop. Let's hear more from Stewart. This was a fun video. Thanks!

Thank you, Stewart and Linda. I appreciated you panning over the items slowly - we even caught you on camera! What a treasure trove - better than a museum. It was fun to see both of your perspective on different items. The old radio was definitely intriguing, and I loved Stewart's perspective on the iron trees and analogy to lungs. Funny Linda spotting yourself in the Southern Living magazine - would loved to know what year it was. Congratulations Stewart for Julia achieving full scholarship - I could hear your pride. Thanks again. Love from sunny Sydney, Australia.

I love antique stores also, I try to go to one when I travel. Recently picked up a 1920-1940 child's rocker original wicker and detail paint, missing the seat (which I replaced with wood, foam and fabric I own) and paid $25. My great-granddaughter now rocks on my patio when she visits. Thanks for the video.

I have a good idea of the things my wife looks out for, so I was once puzzled when she seemed to be looking intently at something amid a tabletop tableau. I could not discern what item it was that caught her eye, so I asked her. It was a bank that she had as a child. I thought it was rather unattractive, but for her it brought back special memories! So even a little incident like this can give you additional insight into someone that you think you know inside-and-out!

  • @danielallen138
    @danielallen138 2 роки тому +6

When Linda says, "Look at this!" the item sometimes isn't the one I anticipate she's heading towards! Like at 17:56, she goes for the lamp, and I'd be all about those two brass cats!

  • @jeanieh9386

I love the copper canisters above your head in the intro. The lamppost behind you when you hold up the comic books is neat! Might look really awesome in Stewart’s smoking lounge? I am totally hoping you bought the hammered copper pot! The door knockers would be neat hung up en masse on a gate or fence. I am definitely in the stage of life where I am trying to get rid of things but also where I am curating the lifestyle I really want and unloading the chaff I don’t want. I have gotten rid of my wedding China (I am in no way the person I was when I got married almost 40 years ago) and things like that. It makes me happy to lighten the load even if I fill the spot with things I truly love. I have a whole set of those dragon dishes that were my grandfather’s. I’m pondering where those are at the moment….might be in my basement. He even had the teapot and coffee pot, cream and sugars and the plates and cups.

My favorite pastimes are gardening, quilting and antiquing. Love this store so much! I also started my McCoy pottery collection by accident. Years ago we moved to a house owned by a little old lady. She left many "treasures" in the backyard shed. Among them was a small yellow basketweave flower pot. I still have it on my kitchen window sill. I have bought & acquired many pieces since. Thanks for sharing!

just ordered the battery-charged leaf blower that you use/recommend. Cannot wait. I am 60 and just do not want to deal with the 150 foot long extension cord anymore ! I think it will be much more pleasant to just pick up this light-weight blower like you do and just quickly take care of things and move on to something else. Thanks for your great recommendations, and I trust that they are tried-and-true or you wouldn't even show us. Thanks Linda. Happy Gardening, Thrifting, Antique Shopping videos ! keep 'em coming !

Photo bomb! Hey Stewart! Love that copper pot Linda! Go for a Vegas vibe in your poker room Stewart, ie. Small version of slot machine, great poker table, roulette wheel, add other games. Those old phones and typewriters could emulate a "bookie" vibe for your poker room. Wink wink. Lol at Linda. Antique stores are a BLACK HOLE for me too. P. S. Very popular blue and white….been collecting for years! The prices are crazy compared to what I paid years ago when everyone was doing southwestern and Tuscan! I love traditional decor and don’t do trends as they come and go and decor can look dated…..i.e. harvest gold and avocado green🤔🤔🤔
I used to work at Paramount Antique Mall in Wichita….oh my…even had a booth for awhile! My buddy Janice has a fabulous booth there and in 2013 she opened a store in a small town outside of wichita…it was the same month my husband died and since I live in this town I went to work for her! We had way too much stayed open for 4 years and we were ready to do other things. FYI….we ordered a lot of stuff from market that look vintage but are new….like the felt mouse. I like you need to scale down because at 70 as my son won’t want 90% of what I have! Good estate sale though😂😂😂
