    Tyson had Plan A but no plan B. If he didn't knock out his opponent in the early rounds and it became a boxing match then he struggled throughout his career. Lewis was a much more accomplished boxer but many Americans didn't give him the credit he deserved.

    Tyson had (50 wins 44/KO). Lewis had (42 wins, 32/KO). Tyson was the youngest Heavyweight Champion in history at 20yrs old. He regained back the title of Heavyweight Champion of the World from Michael Spinks with a KO in 90 seconds. He never trained or even slept before the Lewis fight he was out partying all night with 14 women.
    He fought 12 rounds without breaking a sweat. His opponents didn't last more than a few rounds.
    If you watch the fight Lewis had with Holyfield you can hear Lewis tell the ref that Holyfield was ramming his head into him repeatedly. That's why Mike finally bit him. Mike has a permanent scar over his right eye still today from Holyfield head butting him.
    There's a reason Lewis & Holyfield waited until 2002 to fight him. They would have lost to him back then. Cus D'Amato was known as the best trainer around. Tyson was not street fighting in the ring but it did contribute to his success. He followed the rules. Incidentally, he never raped the girl that accused him. Tyson was a legendary fighter with a unique fighting style that was the best I've ever seen. If you watch the You Tube videos of his fights you'll see he was in a category all his own.

    • @dirtyandnasty9011
      @dirtyandnasty9011 11 місяців тому

      The problem is Tyson fought mostly cab drivers but Lennox had most of his fights against big names, so the KO ratio is biased.
      As for "prime" Tyson, Lennox already got his number in sparring in the 80's , check Arnie Boehm's interview about this.
      That's why Tyson always answered in front of cams "I'm not ready for Lennox Lewis yet." He knew he could never beat him, prime or not.

      Sober as a judge me. The fireworks before the Lewis fight was just publicity to get more money in the pot for what Tyson knew would be his last big money fight. The ear biting was admittedly a weakness of sorts because he was frustrated by Evander's notorious use of the head. @@leroybailey7015

    I watched the Douglas/Tyson fight live years ago. Watched this old replay at least 3 years ago. Lewis had the longest reach of any heavyweight ever. His Jab was a power hammer and at 250 pounds had lightning speed! Tyson even in his prime would have had to land an early round knockout to win against a opponent like Lewis. Love and respect both fighters. Frazier,Ali,Foreman, Lennox against those warriors would have been epic
