Sir question about your visit with Tricare at CMC... Did they assist you in filling out the paperwork? Did they mail it to the Wisconsin PO address? I asked because here in SBFZ, all they did was give us paperwork, tell us to fill out, and then use Philippine Mailing system to send to US.. Please advise
The Tricare Office at The Medical City Clark took care of all my paperwork and all the filing online. All I did was pay my 25% copay. What hospital is SBFZ? Is SBFZ a preferred hospital? Are they like The Medical City Clark where you only pay the 25% copay? No need to mail anything to the U.S. All filing for Tricare claims can be done online. I have a video that shows how to file Tricare claims online.

Wonderful information. Did you mean $25 co-pay? 25% could be a huge co-pay. Unfortunately, UA-cam blocks the business card you posted at the very end with recommended videos.
Have you tried to use your Tricare outside of Clark City? Everything I am finding about Tricare in the Philippines says you pay up front and submit a claim for reimbursement.
Dazel, my wife and I have MEDICARE plus TRICARE for LIFE, will this facility take care of us? We are planning on coming to Philippines in April for 3 plus months.
Yes, as long as you are paying into Medicare (your primary insurance in the U.S; not available in the Philippines); Tricare for Life kicks in as your primary insurance in the Philippines. You’ll have to meet the $150 deductible for 2023; before Tricare kicks in. Then, you’ll pay only the 25% copay for any medical treatment. Check the list of Tricare certified facilities; mostly in the cities. Because they process Tricare paperwork for you. Unfortunately, if you go to most of the provinces in the Philippines, they will have no clue regarding Tricare. You will pay 100% and file for 75% reimbursement yourself. Tricare-overseas.com has a list of hospitals and doctors that are certified or preferred in the Philippines.
Thank you this information. I was wondering if you know any clinic or hospital in Makati or Manila area that accepts Tricare Prime for the retiree. Also, since you are a Veteran, are you eligible to see VA outpatient clinic in Roxas Blvd? Thanks again.
Sorry June, but I avoid Manila because of the traffic. That’s why I like going to Clark Medical City; no traffic inside the old base. I’m not eligible to use the VA outpatient clinic in Roxas Blvd; only veterans with disability are able to use that facility. Take care.
Yes, they do all the claims to Tricare. Once you meet the annual deductible, you actually see on the Tricare form you take to the cashier the total cost for your medical procedure. And the 25% that you need to pay.
First, was getting her a military ID card and enrolling in DEERS. Second, was calling Tricare and enrolling in the family plan and paying the fee ($345 a year).

Hi guys, It's great to see the US military taking care of their retired vets and their family in the Philippines because they are the ones who have given so much and yet ask for so little. You usually find most of the veterans' medical care facilities in disrepair but I was impressed by this one at Clark.
