    Thanks . This answers a lot of questions. Because I'm also retired from the U. S. Air Force and plan on retiring in the Philippines and was just concerned about the availability of Medical treatment in the Philippines.

    I heard rumors the government Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) insurance was accepted at this hospital. Oddly, only the Clark location spells out the HMO accepted. Or at least I could find them on the main hospital or the Laguna locations. They never responded to my question asking if BCBS was excepted at the main location in Manila OR the Laguna location. Thank you sir for sharing this valuable piece of information.

    I am retired US Army. I am exploring moving to the Philistines with my wife. We are both US born. Would we be a good fit?? I see a lot of male expats, with a young wife, my mate has to be happy !!! or it's a NO GO. You did a great job explaining the medical concerns. I can live with that. I have a good retirement at $7K per month..so that is not a problem...Happy Wife is a Happy Life...

    • @dazeltv1351
      @dazeltv1351  2 роки тому

      With a $7k per month retirement, you would be living very well in the Philippines. You can hire people full time so you don’t have to do any homework or chores. Have you lived in a 3rd world country? It would be a huge adjustment if you haven’t coming from the U.S. An example would be driving; you have to have a lot of patience to drive here. Another is as an American; I know you expect certain rights and freedom. Here in the Philippines; you have to follow their rules. Example is a foreigner is not allowed to have a gun. Many Americans retire to the Philippines because of the cost of living. You can live comfortably here on an average Social Security received from the U.S.

    Ginno, did you feel nostalgic going back to Clark considering you once worked in the medical field there?

    • @dazeltv1351
      @dazeltv1351  2 роки тому +1

      I felt very nostalgic about our whole trip to Clark; it was the best assignment in my 20 years in the Air Force. Dazel and I actually got to hanged out with two of my co-workers from the hospital that I haven’t seen in 30 years; they were Filipina civilian workers at the hospital. It was so much fun reminiscing of our days at Clark; we just talked and laughed for hours.

    So there was no issue of you being outside the pampanga area to be seen at medical city Clark? I’m guessing if you have an emergency then you will go directly to the closest hospital? I have a heart and diabetes issue so I need to be close to a good hospital. Most importantly, I want a hospital that does direct billing and the paperwork associated with that. Great video.

    • @dazeltv1351
      @dazeltv1351  2 роки тому +2

      Yes, no issue being seen at Medical City Clark although I live outside Pampanga. Yes, my emergency hospital in Aklan is Panay Hospital, 10 minutes away from our house. I have to pay Panay Hospital upfront 100% and then file for 75% reimbursement through Tricare. It would be ideal for you to live near Medical City Clark.

    Wow, my insurance is accepted there. I don't understand, I thought US insurance was only accepted in the US. Is this like a medical free trade zone? This is awesome news and solves a major issue concerning healthcare. Well, until I lose my work sponsored health insurance and am forced into medicare at age 64. Btw, just seen a post from a veteran in the Philippines page saying the VA hospital in Manila is probably gone at the end of September of this year. You hear anything about that?

    • @dazeltv1351
      @dazeltv1351  2 роки тому +3

      I subscribed to VA Manila's monthly newsletter and regularly receive emails from them; no mention of them closing. You can subscribe to them at www.benefits.va.gov/manila/

    What airline do you use between Kalibo and Clark?

    • @dazeltv1351
      @dazeltv1351  2 роки тому +1

      We’ve flown on Cebu Pacific and Air Asia direct from Kalibo to Clark in the past. Right now, we can only fly direct from Caticlan to Clark. Our house is an hour away from Caticlan. There are flights to Kalibo to Clark right now; but with a stopover in Manila. Direct flights from Kalibo to Clark are expected to start in April. There is a boom of tourists again going to Boracay; expecting over 200k this March 2022.

    Thank you so much for sharing this information. Are there any hospitals in Cebu that accept Tricare?

    • @dazeltv1351
      @dazeltv1351  2 роки тому

      I have not found a hospital in Cebu that processes all the paperwork for Tricare like Medical City Clark. www.tricare-overseas.com provides a list of preferred/certified medical providers in the Philippines; just need to input the province of Cebu and a list of doctors will come up for Cebu.

    Great video for Tri-Care insured patients! Does the hospital have a pharmacy on the premises??? I require maintenance scripts for hypertension and diabetes (Type II). How would the payment or reimbursement of the medication work??? And, does the hospital accept American credit cards or is this PESO Only???

    • @dazeltv1351
      @dazeltv1351  2 роки тому +1

      The tricare coordinator is Mr. Dante Sangalang; his email is dsangalang@themedicalcity.com. He will be able to provide information regarding your scripts. You can also send a message to The Medical City Clark using their Facebook page; for other inquiries. Yes, they accept American credit cards.
