Yu-Gi-Oh! is a 1998 Japanese anime television series based on the manga of the same name written and illustrated by Kazuki Takahashi. It was the first anime adaptation of the manga series and it was produced by Toei Animation and directed by Hiroyuki Kakudō. The series tells the story of Yugi Mutou, who after solving the ancient Millennium Puzzle, awakens a gambling alter-ego within his body that solves his conflicts using various games. This series loosely adapts the first 59 chapters of the manga while adding original events and characters not present in the manga.

One anime exclusive character from Season 0 I quite enjoyed (and no one seems to remember) was Risa Kageyama. She and her two identical sisters were essentially witches.

To be fair I do like Miho, she is quite fun. Although she does feel somewhat manipulative of Tristan (Honda) sometimes, there are a few moments where she seems aware of his feelings and is using it to her advantage
If they ever reboot Yu-gi-oh duel monsters I would love to see Miho as a main character
If they ever reboot the OG, they should adapt the whole 43-Volume epic (from Season Zero, to Duelist, R and Millennium World) as well as the filler arcs that have become pretty iconic in their own right; Virtual World, Waking the Dragons, Grand Championship and Capsule Monsters. Not to mention the four movies; 1999, Pyramid of Light, Bonds Beyond Time and Dark Side of Dimensions. Encapsulate everything involving the OG crop of characters.
She does get name dropped in gx at least (along with almost every other DM, season 0, and Yugioh R character) so she wasn't totally forgotten post-season 0. It is a shame that she wasn't at least a cameo in one of DMs many filler arcs though.
A fun idea for content would be rewriting the DM anime with Miho in mind
Honestly if they were gonna redo YGO, they'd like do the same thing they did for Sailor Moon Crystal and make a much shorter series trimmed to follow the manga more closely, and since Miho wasn't really in the manga, she wouldn't be a large character in that remake.
Oh man imagine rewriting Yu-Gi-Oh dragonball super style.. from season 0 to dark side of dimensions with capsule monsters and dice monsters fully integrated seasons... Miho vs Rebecca.. oh and more accurate card duels

I think to do that you would have to give more importance to Tristan/Honda.

I was a fan of season zero since I find out about it and it's episodes and I immidetly liked Miho. yes she is not the best but as that video said, she was a cute addition to the main group
besides I think season zero handled the characters way better than the duel monsters anime. In season zero they feel like an actual group of teen friends. In DM it feels like Yugi, his lesser friend and those three people (including Duke for some reason) who just following them for no reason other than worshiping Yugi.
and I agree with Tea/Anzue not being just "the girl" in season zero and she has very fun personality (and not "useless shonen anime girl" as the abridged series rightfully claims). in general I feel like season zero handled it's female characters way better (I mean, this season has litterly female villains a thing that I don't think it really exists in DM)
you know, I with Toei would have continue with yogioh and go to the other arcs. maybe in some alternative universe
I wish she was referenced more. Dark Side ot Dimensions had so many wasted opperuntieies to show of characters the movie could have opened with a bunch of side characters competing in a tournament (A minute long in the run time) so they could each show off 1 new card.

00:45 - okay, how has the picture on the right become *the* Duelist Kingdom picture? It's always bugged me, probably because of Tristan being pretty obviously added in at the last minute (and wearing clothes that he literally _never_ wore in any media, mind you) and Téa's blouse being miscolored on the bottom half (though that's really nothing compared to how many times they messed up her main Battle City outfit, holy hell), that it's the image most associated with the early days of the show.
If Tea was becoming more of a duelist her deck would be the Voiceless Voice archetype ((or Silenforce in the OCG))

Miho was a one time character in the manga. She has no dialog except for the end when she rejects Tristan (Honda)
She was never intended to be a main stay. Not sure why Toei thought it was a good idea to make her a main character and part of the main cast.
Moral of the Story: Direct Manga adaptations is a good idea.
I don't see how that is the moral of the story. We specifically still talk about the animes in a positive light because they are diffrent.

Seaon 0 was pretty good. I loved the aspect of other games especially the rpg table top, tamagochi and capsule monsters but they also added a bunch of unnecessary episodes with like criminals and bullies that didn't do much for the overall story or plot.
I remember Miho. I also get their point of why they cut her. Even tho the fault of adding too much supporting characters in only theirs.
Bakura, Duke and Solomon have no place being animated with the main group as often as they were.
Bakura and Duke weren't even that close with them what was the reasoning of Duke being added to the main group to begin with?
And adding Serenity and Mai in s2 really just bombarded the viewer with a bunch of useless side characters that served little to no point to the story. The only one that had something to do there was Mai bc she was a finalist. Seriously i couldn't give two shjts about the constant speeches the rest of them had during turns. Tristan is as useless as they come. On top of him add the rest of the gang Duke, Bakura and Serenity and you get a total of 5 useless characters if you add Tea to the mix even tho you can argue that she had purpose bc Marik possessed her. But that could've easily been cut from the anime too.
So yeah Miho is a victim of them not managing their side characters properly and unintentionally increasing them by a total of 7. With majoring of them literally having nothing to do but explain what's happening during the duel as if the viewer doesn't already sees...
I would've loved to see her being added just as a classmate that's friends with them but doesn't have interest in games, that had a crush on Bakura and Yami Bakura was controlling her to serve his biddings in like 3 episodes. Two exclusives to season 1 to adapt the RPG board game they played in season 0 and later in season 2 where Keith duels Yugi, Bakura could've controlled her again to distract Joey, Tea and Tristan for a while before they reached the warehouse to help yugi.
