Outstanding, Troy. You have a gift for instruction. Thank you for sharing it with us. I'm a 72-years young newbie to Camtasia. I hope to use Camtasia for 72 more years. So far, so good.
Thanks a bunch! I appreciate the kind words! We're trying to up our game a bit. :) If we could make a tutorial *just for you* what would that topic be? All my best! - Troy
@@TechSmithSupport Hi Troy, maybe I speak for most users on Camtasia, but I wouldn't even know where to begin. I couldn't even tell you "Hey, teach me about blah blah blah" because I don't even know what "blah blah blah" is or that it even exists. I think doing these videos introduces us to some of the powers of Camtasia and I'm loving it. I've gotten better over the years learning little by little. For example, I didn't even know I could group things until I accidentally grouped. I didn't know how to save things to my library until I saw it in your recent videos. Now I don't have to recreate my lower 3rds over and over again. I'm super excited about that. Thanks again.
@@CarlosPulido That's super helpful. We'll try to keep showing what's possible and exposing some less-obvious functionality in the process! Glad the library tip is working for you! The library is awesome... and some hidden goodness. - Troy
@@TechSmithSupport Nice to here from you !!! Right now I am working on the microsoft excel online course. If you could make a training video related on that...it would be greatful !!!😀
@@VSIOPPLANNER Let me see what I can do... I won't make it about Excel... but, I'm thinking maybe showing how to do a quasi split-screen, like I do in this video, so you can show 2 important areas of the application (like a calculation and a chart) at the same time. Might that be helpful? ua-cam.com/video/xhq1NF4muGk/v-deo.html
Been watching these videos......big question....Where are the multiple time line "Tabs" coming from? Is that a MAC only feature? At the 3:07 Mark I see a Main Timeline Tab and a Outer rays time line tab? Thanks
Those tabs appear when he opens a new "Group." The "Main" tab is the timeline as you mentioned but the Outer rays tab refers to the condensed items that are in that group. When you click the "+" or double-click the group, it opens in a separate tabbed timeline so you can edit the contents of the group. I hope that helps!
@@19mstng67 Agreed! You should mention it directly to our dev team over at feedback.techsmith.com (or upvote it if it's already been requested) because it is a pretty great little preview tool!
Depends on the Camera and codec type, but in most instances, yes. If you want to be sure before purchasing Camtasia, the free trial is no commitment - you don't have to put in a credit card number to try it out and see if it works for you.

@@VSIOPPLANNER Awesome! So glad you are using the tricks!!
Do you have a new link for the project download. Bitly has blocked the one you posted in the description. Thanks so much! :)
Troy, what is that song that you play in your intro!?! Dang, it's good.

@@19mstng67 Ah, apologies, yes after double-checking that "Group Preview" is a Mac-only feature.
@@techsmith I found that Rabbit Hole as well....That said...it WOULD be a nice WINDOWS Featuer. :)
