Excellent guide and Camtasia really is a huge timesaver for anyone who makes screencasts. I don't know how I would have done all my lessons last year without it.
This is an outstanding video. I also have used Camtasia since the app was first introduced many years ago. I learned a number of things I did not know, including how to be more efficient in applying all of the features that are described in this video. The video itself provides a superb example of the results that can be achieved with Camtasia. I should add that I have tried all of the usual suspects, including Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects, Techsmith and many others. I keep coming back to Camtasia. Hear hear. Well done.
Awesome video! To the point with optimal words. Instructors like you are valuable asset to the tech world. Just subscribed after this first tutorial. Thanks for not wasting time by teaching 4-5 different ways to to the same task (i.e. keyboard short cuts). The short cuts are always written in the menus next to the commands. But for some reason many UA-camrs spend more time on short cuts than the actual task they are supposed to do making it a longer and harder to watch unnecessarily.
I just wrote the following in another of your tutorials for LOOM.... " Hi. I just finished my first Screen Recording using your tutorial about CAMTASIA. Now, my UA-cam suggestion shows me LOOM. Which one would you really RECOMMEND? Thank you very much for your great tutorials- Best regards.
Hi thanks for the great video! I have a question. How do you have two files (one is your video with built in audio and the other is screencast with external audio) that have identical audio (meaning saying the exact same thing at the right time?) I'm assuming you are recording the screencast one and the video one separately.
Not at all. Camtasia makes it easy to line up the tracks. If everything is recording at the same time you can use the waveform (audio lines) in camtasia to visually line it up. Then only keep the good sounding track.
Very helpful tutorial! I consider myself an average Camtasia user but I learned quite a few things from this. 2 questions: Is the camera your using the Sony A7 you recommend in the Amazon store? Also I noticed the "e2e" camera chosen in the Camtasia record bar. I assume this is to use a mobile phone as an external camera - do you experence lag between your actual voice and when your mouth is actually speaking the words? Do you recommend e2e over Camo or other similar software? As a beginner I'm trying to use by iPhone but experence lag.
Can this program also do lossless video cuts of existing videos? I like to create preview versions of my videos by cutting out most parts, but I would prefer to just do that without re-encoding (which takes a lot of time and also degrades the quality). It's ok if cuts are only possible on keyframes.
This was very helpful. I have migrated from ScreenFlow to Camtasia, I have noticed that get poor video quality when I use my mirrorless camera as my webcam. With Screenflow, I am able use my camera with nice results. Is this why you separate shoot your talking head video portion separately then import it later into Camtasia?
Awesome 👏 your video was really good and effective, just let me know about the external camera 🎥 do you use some specific software for or how. I have Logitech c920 camera 🎥 let me know please how I can use as an external same as you you did.
The audio from the camtasia output, and the audio that I am hearing for this video has huge quality difference. Are you using any other editor software for the post production? Is there any video for your setup workflow process as well? ( Would be great if you an have a video on your youtube setup, audio/video editing process ! )
Hi! Thanks for this tutorial. I have a question. Can I animate text in Camtasia? For example, something like what happens at the 1:39 timestamp in this video: ua-cam.com/video/yyATcjaHDlw/v-deo.html Thanks!

Nice job! If I need to screen record in my mac and in my windows machine, do I need two Camtasia Licences or only one?

Can you kindly teach us how you do your camera setup in connection to Camtasia, please?
What external camera do you use? Do you use that and screen record at the same time?

Correct I record the screen cast, the video from dslr(with bad audio) and the audio separate. Then line them up and mute the bad audio tracks.
@@FlippedClassroomTutorials Thank you! Okay, so I guess you just have to try your best in saying the same lines at the right pace/timing.
Not at all. Camtasia makes it easy to line up the tracks. If everything is recording at the same time you can use the waveform (audio lines) in camtasia to visually line it up. Then only keep the good sounding track.
I'm curious how you capture the Recording toolbar in Camtasia and other auto-hidden features. What's your technique?

Welcome
Just let me know my camtasia not accepting the webcam Logitech as an external device.
Still not working?
Is camestasia better than adobe premiere pro ? Why you do not use adobe premiere pro???.
Hi! Thanks for this tutorial. I have a question. Can I animate text in Camtasia? For example, something like what happens at the 1:39 timestamp in this video: ua-cam.com/video/yyATcjaHDlw/v-deo.html

Absolutely! Annotations and text are a big part of Camtasia. Check out my video on this here: ua-cam.com/video/eQ7hda7R4iU/v-deo.html
8:56 God almighty that is the SLOW way to cut out space. I sure hope you don't actually do that every time.
This is to show what happens. In my everyday flow, I simply select the section and cut it out.
@@FlippedClassroomTutorials my point is… I would never show anyone THIS process in the first place.
Jump cuts, ughh
its too long
Hence the timestamps.
