I was feeling very discouraged after my failed attempts at following other core workouts- after finding this routine my faith has been restored!! This one is actually achievable at this stage in my fitness journey and the delivery is easy to follow! Thank you! 😊
I'm a 69 year old woman and this has come at the BEST time! I've lost 36 pounds, so just 9 more pounds to go! YAY ME! Anyway, I need to tone up my never toned body. I feel so good, with a lot of energy. Plus I have dropped 2 sizes!
Love Jody as a presenter. She doesn't say, "Good job," which always bugs that crap out of me since the person doesn't know how good my effort was! She presents clearly, steadily and I think I might get a little sore and stronger. Thank you!
As a man over 50 who.hasn't taken the best care of himself, here I am on Jan 2nd looking to make some changes for the better. I will incorporate these slowly, working my way up to some of the more difficult (plank exercises) ones as I gain strength over time. Thank you so much for the straight forward presentation. Happy New year everyone.🙂
Really love this, it's so hard finding straight forward, gender neutral exercise videos where they don't constantly talk about losing weight or changing your body cause you hate it. Thanks!
Hey, i have got a lot of problems regarding my core. Whenever i was doing any kind of ab workout or core training, ive never really felt anything in my core because my lower back would cramp out and it felt like somebody was putting a knife in my back. This is the first workout where i had close to no back issues and ive felt my core muscles all the time. Thank you very much. I guess that all the other excersices i have done were simply too hard for the capabilities of my core. I am doing quite a lot of sports but ive always had to battle through my back pain.
Sooooo I sucked at the side planks! My legs were just too heavy for me lol. I’m definitely still weak. My last birth destroyed me and I went to therapy to regain core strength and implemented strength and stretching exercises to help with my tight hips and sore back. I’m going to do this again tomorrow and really warm up my hips, glutes etc to see if that helps my mobility. This was easy to follow and effective, thank you!
I do a bit of yoga and have dabbled in core strength. I'm decently in shape but have injuries and an aging body. Most "beginner" core workouts here on the tube absolutely *kill* me, and discourage me from doing them again. This, however, hit that perfect sweet spot between accessible and challenging.
66 here, about 30 lbs overweight. On very low carb and intermittent fasting to keep cellular inflammation and overall aches away (and it works) ! This is doable for me ... once I get waaay down there on the floor😺. I need 2 mats for knees. And something sturdy nearby to get back up😹. Hopefully that gets easier with time? Thank you.
So I've had a hard time doing core exercises (im 212lbs/96kgs and only three months into my weight loss journey) but this was so helpful! I only made it six minutes in before needing to stop, but omg I don't feel guilty or like a failure for stopping. Thank you so much!!
Check out this beginner beginner side plank, as I can't fully lift up. This chap lifts up from the knees only and thoroughly explains positioning ua-cam.com/video/7d-HTp-0vL4/v-deo.html&si=kXpJCnJSSsYQfK8d
I used to be a gym rat but several life events prevented me from goong to the gym. At 73 I feel the need to get back in shape. Boy how did I get this way, oh yeah, can't do those 5 mile walks anymore due to foot surgery ugh. This is going to help but those side planks are not happening with my shoulders.
Thanks for watching! Jordan has a plethora of videos, feel free to check them out here: ua-cam.com/play/PL8l32k1r15l68gTmjJM-nRvbZqgRT1oDX.html There's something for everyone!
Jordan, very nice video (explanation & demonstration) ! One question re: full bird dogs- saw another video where the guy said explicitly not to raise leg up off the ground ? Rather, the toe was on the ground with the heel being pushed away. Thank you
How many times a week would you recommend doing this exercise? As a total beginner i have done two mornings but can definitely feel it by this evening 😅
I have a question. I know this is an old video so not sure if i will get a reply. But I am a 41 year old female. I have had 2 c-sections. One verticle and one horizontal. I am 5ft 5 and currently weigh 164. I have lost 10lb in 3 weeks with a diet change, going from soda to nothing but water and intermittent fasting. Walking, pilates and aerobics. Is it possible for me to actually get a nice flat stomach being i have had these c sections or am I wasting my time?
Everyone's bodies are unique and heal differently. It is very possible you can have a nice flat stomach, but there's also a chance that you'll have some residual aftereffects of fatty tissue that causes a little pouch.
Can someone tell me what does brace and squeeze means? The only way i know to squeeze core muscles is to suck the stomach in. Is there another way to do that?
Brace and squeeze as if you are going to get punched in the stomach. Do not suck in, bracing and squeezing is more along the lines of pushing like you would to make a bowel movement. Hope that helps :)
Trying these out for first time. Problem is the side lifts....I can't get my butt off the ground 😢....my right side is fine.... but my left arm is too weak, due to injury 6 years ago.
Totally agree, not really for actual beginners.....this one is much better, starting at the knees ua-cam.com/video/7d-HTp-0vL4/v-deo.html&si=kXpJCnJSSsYQfK8d
Not sure this is beginner. At 300lbs, just getting down there on the ground is a big big deal! And getting up, well, that's another BIG BIG deal!!! This is all fine and dandy, but this girl only weighs as much as my leg!!! ( Singular) Thanks
This video is much more kinder on weak arms and shoulders.....as I can't fully do a side plank. ua-cam.com/video/7d-HTp-0vL4/v-deo.html&si=kXpJCnJSSsYQfK8d

Congratulations on your weight loss. Keep up the journey!
Way to go sugar!
Congratulations … keep fighting
Inspired with your testimony❤

Amazing, thank you!!! Straight to the point, no extra talking bla bla bla.
Just what I needed! 🎉
Excellent for seniors and beginners

WOW, first time and I found it easy, I am so pleased, I am in better shape than I thought 😀😃
This is the excellent core workout for strengthening lower back and core
I lost 135 lbs in the past year and have been terrible at working out. Thank you so much for this!

Yes, it will improve, Keep up the great work. Just don't overdo it and take 1 or 2 days off a week for recovery.
Sincerely Brad
Really lovely first class. Hope you could do a little series please Jordan, maybe one a week? it is so hard to progress unless you know how 🙏
We appreciate the feedback and will consider this idea for future videos!

Glad we could help and keep up the great work!! You got this! You are doing amazing!!
It’s fun & easy! I can do this as routine
Yes!!! This is so great. The build up exercises step by step, rather than going straight into it. So good for warming up!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Really enjoyed this, always struggled with core and press ups, this challenged but I could do it 😀
Such a lovely vidoe, Thank you ❤️
Awesome video. Nice and gentle. A TRUE beginner video. Thank you!!!
Happy to help!
just started hope this help with my lower back pain
We hope so too!! Best of luck!
Loved this. Am very inflexible, tight muscles. So I am giving this a try. Day one done, and it kicked my butt! Great simple workout.
Exactly what I need!! Thanks for sharing this.
You're welcome, Christine! Glad you enjoyed!
Thank you I can feel good that I am beginning exercise
Great --my aging yoga body needs extra core and warm up. Thank you for this
Happy to help!
Very timely. Thank you.
Loving it started today
Thanks so much for this introduction to a core workout. These workouts are so helpful!
Glad you like them!
I have arthritis, including and especially of the hands. It's hard to splay the hands on the ground and have one's weight on the hands.
These two guys are the most famous. You know it!
Most famous physical therapists, on the internet! 🤣👍🏻😎
Thanks Jordon. Getting back into shape is tough as I need to ease into those side planks 😅
Glad you enjoyed! Always great to have something to strive for!

Your videos is seriously useful for success..!😊🖤
Glad you like them!
I’m 65, don’t do exercises on the floor any more. Looks like a great workout tho, and always love to see Jordan.

Jordan, very nice video (explanation & demonstration) !

Thank you
Thank you.
You are very welcome
Love the “brace and tweeze” great terms for describing what to do
Thanks!
Thank you!
You're welcome, Margie 😊
As a beginner I refuse any kind of plank 😁
How many times a week would you recommend doing this exercise? As a total beginner i have done two mornings but can definitely feel it by this evening 😅
Hey! Are you still doing these exercises? How does it feel now?
Maam ❤you're lovely. Thanks for such a valuable video. Could you please help me in getting Six pack😊

@@BobandBrad I very much appreciate the reply. I'm gonna go for it either way. So I guess we will see. Hope you have a good day.
Perfect
I need exercises that don’t involve my knees. I need knee replacement and can not put any weight or pressure on my right knee.
Don't suck in. That makes your upper body to collapse down and the back overworks
Great answers below!
Trying these out for first time. Problem is the side lifts....I can't get my butt off the ground 😢....my right side is fine.... but my left arm is too weak, due to injury 6 years ago.
how often should this be done? :)
Usually 2 days a week with a day rest in between
@byronugalde8207 thank you!

Side plank was so hard :D

Cannot do these due to wrist pain.

Yikes my shoulders are not going to do those side plank maneuvers
Thanks for trying Kathleen 😊 Appreciate all feedback for future video ideas!

This is not Bob. Or Brad.
Correct! 😂 This is Jordan, she does our workout videos.
Tfs. To everyone reading this, Jesus loves you!
Great woman great feet great socks 👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
No way. Except for the last 2 these are NOT “Beginner” exercises. Very disappointed these are on Bob and Brad’s channel.
I don't agree with you. Type "advanced core workout" and compare 😁😄🤣😂
Thanks!
Thank you! Take care!
THANK YOU!
