Guys! Trust me on this one. Check out their cover of "Mary did you know?". It's one of their best and it's perfect for the holidays
Thats Pentatonix
No silly they mean Home Free’s cover of “Mary did you know?”. I echo the suggestion as it’s an amazing rendition.
Yes, one of their best.
@@beachluc Home free does that song too!
Absolutely . It is amazing. They both covered it.
The best arrangement of any Christmas song anywhere. Home Free knocks it out of the park again. This is an instant classic. There is just nothing like it anywhere.
Such an exceptional arrangement by Home Free's own wizard and incomparable vocal percussionist, Adam Rupp ⛄🪄🎄
These guys are so gifted and work so well eith each other thank you for sharing this.
This is my favorite version of this son. Their version of Mary Did You Know is also wicked good. They gave it a bit of an R&B spin and wow! Keep the Home Free reactions coming.
Home Free are masters at drawing you to the lyrics, clearest voices ever. Everything they do is an UPGRADE. Check out some of their new ORIGINALS.
Adam's arrangement of this song is unique, elegant and complex. This was never a favorite of mine until this gorgeous version. Missed you guys reacting to Home Free. "Mary, Did You Know" by Home Free is also spectacular. Have a great Christmas. Great reaction.
Another good one for the holidays is "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem," which they covered with the Oak Ridge Boys. Mind-blowing!
After Christmas you have to check out their version of Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get it On. Absolutely awesome.
Kenny Rogers with Home Free "Children Go Where I Send Thee" is a must!!!!
Best arrangement of any Christmas song, ever. Makes me smile every time I hear it - which is almost every day no matter the time of hear.
Through the years we discover many covers which, to us, become THE preferred versions of the songs we know. Sometimes we discover that we love a song we never previously cared for or about when a cover reveals it to us. Home Free covers are eye-opening and they may hold the record for the most covers that become the gold standard of a song. Thanks for reacting to this one. It's in their Top Twenty, in my book. Cheers.
That's one of my favorites songs they do in their entire catalog.
So psyched to see Home free in concert in February! From the moment I heard them I became an instant fan, especially since I used to sing in a acapella group in high school.
Their version of "How Great Thou Art" performed in the Alps of Austria is awesome!!
What is the matter with you guys? Every time you watch Home Free you say how wonderful you think they are, then you wait for a whole year before watching them again???? Man, they have over 150 beautiful songs out there... You gotta watch them more often!!! Love your reactions to them 🙂 I noticed that you have reacted to Kenny Rodgers... Home free did a song WITH him before he passed... "Children go where I send thee" It is a great new version.
This may be the best version out there. Vocal excellence.
One of my favorites of Home Free (and an original) is Snow Globe FYI they will be in Tulsa, OK on February 23, 2023.
I'm almost 70 and have heard this song probably thousands of times over the years. Like you, I didn't really listen to the lyrics (although I knew them.) It was just another Christmas song and no matter who sang it, it was the same song. Home Free turned it upside down, inside out and made it new again. Their vocals (way beyond the notes) are amazing. These guys make sounds come out of their mouths that I don't think anyone else has tried (or maybe could.) Then there's the world class beat boxer. Such a talented group! Thanks for reacting to them again.
I swear Tim is going to cause an avalanche! lol This my favorite rendition of this song.
I've never heard this version of this song before, but I love it so much! You're absolutely right! Home Free can sing anything and sound absolutely amazing! I love them! I'm obsessed with their version of “When a Man Loves a Woman”! It was my favorite song I'd heard from them (which I haven't heard all of them) until they released a cover of “Listen to the Music” by the Doobie Brothers. I'm super obsessed with it! I know it's not a Christmas song, but I definitely think you should listen to it for one of your non-Christmas reactions.
The lyrics grow in importance and intensity.
The night wind: do you see what I see?
> little lamb: do you hear what I hear?
> shepherd boy: do you know what I know? Moving from senses to knowledge.
> mighty king: listen to what I say - no longer a question, but a statement of faith and certainty, together with a call to prayer for peace
Bing Crosby doing White Christmas may be one of the most iconic Christmas songs ever, but try Bing doing “Mele Kalikimaka” ( Hawaiian Merry Christmas). Such a fun Christmas song and Bings version is classic. 😉
these guys rock, absolutely so diverse in their music, you could do them all day.
The human voice is the absolute best musical instrument! Great reaction!
Your channel has not only helped you open your eyes, but I, too, have discovered new lyrics and meaning in songs I had listened to for decades. As a former teacher I also have to add, the change in perspective is essential to helping kids discover how they learn. Ask them what do they want to know how to do and then figure how what are the skills they should master to do that. It keeps you from hearing "why do I need to know this". If stumped, change directions and fill in the blank: If I knew ______ I could answer the question. I've found the change in perspective helps kids figure out how to do problems that were not immediately familiar. Sorry so long winded, you know how we teachers are.
Being a former teacher myself I know what you mean! I even tried analyzing the Star Spangled Banner in which the student didnt know what it meant! Once we got into it they understood it!
This is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard from Home Free. The setting is breathtaking.
Merry Christmas from Australia
love this song...thank you for this reaction 👍🏻😀
Absolutely love the sweaters, looking fabulous. Just beautful and their talent is too amazing. Thanx so much, Say hey to the babies, Peace
I've seen them live and the bass actually vibrates your seat in the theater. It's pretty amazing!
Why am I crying 😢❤❤❤ home free. Made my night.
If you ever get the chance to go to one of their concerts go. Tim's bass rumbles your entire body. Went to a concert in October and sat 3rd row center. It was amazing.
Oh lort! You're making us Pentaholics jealous!!! C'mon y'all - share the spotlight with PTX! You rock!
Their version of this song is one of my favorites!!
All of their Christmas songs are great. As usual, their backdrop is excellent and complements the song.
I just recently learned this song was written during the Cuban Missile crisis, in 1962, as a sort of cry for peace. We came THIS CLOSE to full on nuclear annihilation during that time, as in, the whole planet. I would’ve never been born, along with most of you. I’ve always loved this song, now I love it even more. If this song lowered the temp even a few degrees, that makes it one of the most important songs ever.
Check out their version of How Great Thou Art. So beautiful it will give you chills. And being filmed in the Austrian Alps really adds to the impact of the song.
Amen! Every day we wake up is a blessing. I get godsmacked all day long he is good! And every member of Home Free realizes that. Oh Holy Night that's another good one you probably saw it last year
I always listen to Celtic Woman for Christmas music.
Love you guys and especially your Home Free reactions! Merry Christmas to you both! ❤
Glad you came back Home Free. This song was arranged by the beatboxer Adam Rupp who is a world class beatboxer. The ice cave was located in Minnesota. This and Mary Did You Know imho are their best traditional Christmas songs along with the one you listened last year. If you want their humorous Christmas songs check out Full of Cheer a Home Free original and Grandma Got Runover By A Reindeer. Thank you for your great reaction. You and your family have a blessed day and aMerry Christmas. GO BENGALS.
I think you meant to say Go Cowboys! 😎
@@glaw556 No I said what I ment. Maybe see you in the Super Bowl LOL
It's actually an ice castle that melted a lot. It was a warm winter. They cut the ice blocks from the lakes, then build a Disney castle with them. We have a whole festival celebrating winter.
I’ve wanted this reaction forever!!!!!!!❤
Mary Did You Know… should be your next reaction… What an amazing song..
It's amazing how it sounds like they have instruments but all the instrument sound is done with their voices
YES!! You finally reacted to not just my favorite Home Free Christmas song, but my favorite Home Free song, period! Just like you two, on my first (of about 587) viewing of this video, my mind was blown so many times! There is just SO much going on in this song, all of it incredible!
The setting of the video is the ice castle that is made every year for our Winter Carnival here in Minnesota (where our boys got started), and I was very concerned that Tim's dragon notes were going to shatter the thing. 😆 I just got to see our guys in concert three days ago (for the second time), and this song was one of the many highlights of an absolutely amazing evening!!
Keep up the great reactions, especially for our Home Free guys!! If you haven't reacted to "What Christmas Means to Me" yet, I definitely recommend it. The guys are at their goofiest, and Rob absolutely sleighs the lead vocals. (See what I did there?) 😉
I'll say it again 🙂, and especially since you're listening to HomeFree, Check out VoicePlay (another a capella group), there version of Oogie Boogie's song from The Nightmare Before Christmas. It's a great version, and Geoff Castellucci's range is shown in this song, and it's crazy. The last note had me rewind it and listen again.
This is my favorite Christmas Carol. Vanessa Williams also does an amazing rendition of this song as well. It's an original video.
Just stunning !!!
Absolutely PLEASE do more Home Free.
Try "Love Train", "Try Everything", "can't stop the feeling", "ain't going down til the sun comes up" --***it's on their Facebook ***
Thanks you2. Always a pleasure to watch. 🤗🥰
Home Free always sounds incredible, even when doing something as silly as "The Butts Remix," but my personal favorite is their cover of Cam's "Mayday," and I freely admit that most of my love for that one comes from Tim Foust singing tenor rather than bass...though his deep bass in their versions of "Elvira" (done with The Oak Ridge Boys) and "Ring of Fire," (done with Avi Kaplan formerly of Pentatonix) is amazing. Adam Rupp must've just swallowed an entire drum kit at some point, and Tim Foust is a human subwoofer. Austin Brown is the most angelic high tenor I've ever heard, Rob Lundquist is always incredible, and Adam Chance as a baritone is exactly what the group needed after Chris Rupp's departure. Their rendition of "Auld Lang Syne," was the first song of theirs I ever listened to, and I fell in love with their voices then. Most recently, they've done excellent renditions of Rascal Flatts' "Bless the Broken Road," and Randy Travis' "Forever and Ever, Amen," but their cover of/tribute to Kenny Rogers' "The Gambler," is hauntingly beautiful. Honestly, you can't really find a bad song when it comes to Home Free, but their country stuff is top tier. Their version of Maren Morris' "My Church," Thomas Rhett's "Die a Happy Man," and Russell Dickerson's "Yours," are also pure magic, but the VIDEO for their rendition of "Make You Feel My Love," (written by Bob Dylan but sung by almost everybody in music at least once by this point (the best version being by Garth Brooks)) is pure comedy gold. Seriously, you can't go wrong with Home Free.
Love your sweaters! 😁Oh, wow, can they sing! 🥰❤💚
I love that you guys have listened to Home free, and pentatonic, but I think you should also watch/listen to voice play! They are considered the theater kids of these three groups, and are a lot of fun. I love all three groups and they all have something unique to offer. Some good songs would be: The Greatest Showman Medley, If I were a rich man/woman, A chance to fly (wicked medley), boy bands in 5 minute. Those are just a few, but they have a lot of amazing covers, including some Disney movie covers that you could react to with your girls!
I've been trying to get them to listen to VoicePlay, but it looks like they don't care.
Cannot go wrong with Home Free! More!
Love this song. Also little Drummer Boy
You need to hear Home Free & Kenny Rogers singing Children go wear where the send thee it is the BEST
Some of those low bass notes were insane, sound board magic or not!
You guys have to check out Home Free singing Auld Lang Syne, it's perfect for this time of year.
In case you didn't know this was shot at the Ice Castle in Minnesota, which moves around the Twin Cities every year. Absolutely beautiful!
I'm thinking you know Christmas is bread free it is for Christmas but rent could sure sing a good song red sovan So Vine the song that red was singing was called Teddy bear Teddy bear by red
That's a song for Christmas f*** off it's about compassion and that's what Christmas is about it's about compassion
Come on back trucker talk to daddy bar
Teddy bear Teddy bear come on back trucker talk to Teddy bear
If you want Christmas songs to fit your theme AND female Friday, consider Chrissie Hynde with The Pretenders on “2000 Miles” about a couple separated over the miles, and Kirsty McColl with The Pogues singing “A Fairytale of New York” singing as a couple breaking up, arguing and reminiscing about past Christmasas. Great stuff.
Home Free will be in Tulsa on Feb 28th. I have seen them live and it is definitely worth it.
Very nice, They made it there own. "Do You Hear What I Hear" sung by John Gary. It's an oldie. His voice is beautiful and expressive.
I miss singing carols every year. I used to record some for my Mom everyday year. A lot of gospel music as well. My best vocal lessons were taught by those songs.
I live in Minnesota and every year during the winter carnival they build these beautiful ice castles. It is really "cool" to see in person. I didn't know they filmed their video here.
Home Free did the song Elvira with the Oak Ridge Boys. It was great.
Much of my day is spent in ugly world! Then some how I see your faces and it gets a bit better. Thank you!
This is so beautiful. Austin was beatboxing in this. Choose any of their songs and it would be a winner. I love HF TRAVELING SOLDIER
Nice outfits.Even Santa wears his sunglasses at night 🙂 I think I see some new earrings there too?. Great reaction you guys👍👍
FYI, did not get notified of this song. Lovely lovely tune. For just a second, though, it looked like a Shining maze.. Wonderful performance. Great take, Jay! True, Amber. It's the sparseness. Thanks!

🌿🌿🌿
I'll be seeing them in concert next February here in Southeast Texas. Tim is from my home town of Nederland TX. Can't wait!
Loved the reaction! HF has lots of beautiful Christmas songs, and I'm sure you will get many suggestions, but you should do their funny one: "Grandma Got Ran Over By A Reindeer" 🤣
Thanks for posting. One fo my favorites! Take a moment to hear Whitney Houstan's cover of this song. It was released on "A Very Special Christmas" compliation CD to raise money for The Special Olympics back in 1987. She just gives you CHILLS.
This song right here will take your breath away you'll get goosebumps you will melt in your chair because of Tim how low he goes let me see what else how high Austin goes the beatboxing with Adam and his brother Chris doing bass as well it's never ending with these men ever.. everybody in here is doing more than just there one part they're outstanding..
Home Free sang "End of the Road," I can't wait til you hear that one!
Love your reaction to this one, Home Free really took this song to a different level.
Roll all these guys and a band into one man you get Bobby McFerrin - "Thinkin' About Your Body" - is nothing like his chart hit, but is totally mind blowing and see it performed live otherwise you can't believe what he does with one set of vocal chords.
Going to see them again live in Nashville at the Ryman Friday! Cant wait! There Christmas tour is the best! Good reaction ya'll more Homefree! Merry Christmas!
Ummm let's see... can you say BAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! Love these guys...
Beautiful Christmas song
The absolute best home free
Thes guys are insanely talented.
One of my favorite Christmas songs, and this is definitely an awesome version as well!
Need to watch Grandma Got Run over by a Reindeer by HF with the kids. I think the girls would love it.
New Subscriber! You're so right about Home Free's versions making you hear a song differently, I think I love every cover they've done better than the originals. This arrangement gave me goosebumps the first time I heard it. It was never a favorite of mine until I heard their version, it's the only one I listen to! You two react really well together, looking forward to more.
Finally reacting to Home Free again.
We always love it when a song gets Home Fried!
Can't wait for the 2024 holiday season to see what Home Free is going to gift us with! 🤠
I thought Pentatonix had this stuff sewn up. I was wrong...
Amazing.
Seven Bridges Road is the best one that really seems to show what they can do and how well they sound together.
So this year for Christmas I decided that I was going to buy stuff for people that are very important in my life based on what they have told me during the year that they like or have wanted. Some things I was told about almost a year ago but I got the stuff this year. I think that your simple message to make somebody smile goes deeper than just you saying it. When people change their life and make it a goal to make somebody smile the world becomes a little bit better place. So I hope that everybody that likes your videos also sets that as a goal. It is so easy to do
God I love acapella. I was in an acapella choir in school and it has always been a passion of mine. I love Pentatonix, Home Free and Voice Play. Pentatonix's version of Mary did you know, give me goose bumps.
Ridiculously good.
Yes, that probably is the best version. Peace, Love!!
Tim Foust is the bass. Unparalleled
Glad you're back! You must react to Home Free "Snow Globe" Thanks for the reaction Rob Squad.
Love Home Free; I definitely consider myself a Home Fry. But I'm also very much a Pentaholic. You should definitely hit their version of O Come All Ye Faithful
You have a lot of willpower when it comes to Home Free!!
I have no idea why you would wait until Christmas to play their videos.
It's extremely limiting; as they have such amazing videos 💝
Why not slip in one or two videos a week???
I mean; you do react to 21 videos each week; try it for awhile...you won't be sorry..lol
Finally - you circled back to Home Free!!!!! Probably one of my favorite Christmas songs by them but as someone else noted, check out Mary Did You Know. Love your channel but ADORE your doing Christmas music as well. Hope all is well in OK...we lived in Norman for 15 years so I feel like you're former neighbors. :-)
A league of their own talent wise.
