I stumbled across this video a couple of weeks ago. I am falling in love with the boat, the Welch’s story, and the details as told in Waterborne. As a retired USAF pilot (who flew a lot with the Navy too) I am connecting to Capt Michael on many levels, but it’s the beautiful writings of Marguerite that are closing the deal. I’m savoring every word of your book. We are currently learning to sail our Catalina 22’ in San Francisco. We intend to take the 14 yr circumnavigation adventure torch from you as soon as the stars align. Just like your journal entry from 17 Dec 99. Fair winds and following seas on your canal adventures.
Hi guys. Your boat is beautiful inside and out. I used to live in NYC and went up to Shannon and met Walter shultz and David walters when they first founded shannon. I think it was 1979 if my memory serves me correct. I was going to buy a 38 and did not and now i wish i had. They are truly well built yachts and are a dying breed. A lot of boats now have no classic lines and down below look likes its IKEA. Good luck selling her and great journeys in your River barge. cheers.
You have not just presented a beautiful boat but also a great partnership and an anti aging panacea. It is too early for me to stop working but your video makes it a great target to aim for. And I keep sailing on my small daysailer (in Dubai) until I can make the switch.

Beautiful boat folks. I figure I should learn to sail before I put my grubby paws on such wonderful looking boats first though. It would be a shame to carve a furrow in Terra Firma with a boat like that due to major inexperience.

Beautiful yacht, however just one cabin. Difficult to have friends or family stay the weekend or even invite them for a passage.
