Ahoy mateys another great video . I've been thinking of getting a boat but thought I was too old,but now I heard that this boat was sailed across the Atlantic and back by a seventy four year old you have given me new hope. Cheers.
Every time I watch an episode showcasing the Shannon line of boats my faith is renewed that quality in boat building still exists. The Captain , still sharp as a port tack, would still show a man or woman that age is just a number and could easily cross the pond . I'm 75 and I'm looking for just the right craft to do that. Thanks Captain Q for your expertise and valued opinions.
The monitor also has the capability to be an emergency rudder (if you buy the attachment) just in case you lose the rudder altogether. That boat is setup for bluewater for sure. Very nice boat for singlehanding. As always a great job guys.
This little ship is like a made to measure Savile Row suit. Fits like a glove and tells you all you need to know about the wearer. She's on the small side for me, but I couldn't not watch. Every episode is a joy and your enjoyment is infectious gentlemen :)
What a lovely design. Lovely beam. A little beamy but solid and lots of room. A boat built for comfort and security. Thank you for the construction details and the back up shrouds. Brilliant design with sliding cleats. Outstanding package. Oh what ever am I to do with such a tempting boat. Come and sail with me is what I hear.
Thoroughly enjoyed this segment. Captain Q, I always enjoy your critique. Ran-day, I love the videography. The special touches and effects- they are awesome. The drone shots I love! A little humor, some education of sailing and buying a sailboat, some Dinty More and Freixenet. It just does not get any better than that. I don't think I have ever looked forward to a TV show or TV/UA-cam segment with such enthusiasm since Alf in the late 1980's!
If the is something worth knowing about a sailboat or ship builder , Captain Q is aware of it. Mind blown once again. This is a boat for a solo sailor and globe trotter for sure. Great vid as usual. Thanks guys.
Always something new to learn in Captain Q's videos. And this boat is VERY nice. Thanks for pointing out the build features that make this one of the best boats.
G'day Captain and Ran-day, This yacht is just brilliant, ready to hit the waves by the looks of her, plot a course and hoist the main..Love this Yacht, love you guy's.
This seems to be a very well thought out built boat. It looks like the best boat for the price range I have seen on your show. Captain Q, perhaps you should plug the Obedience School that Sea Dog graduated from, she is so well behaved. Maybe some day a rich viewer will buy Sea Dog some sunglasses or sun goggles. Very much enjoyed the video You, Randy, and Sea Dog made. Thanks. 👏👍🙏😎✌️
Shannon's have always been on of the best built and sailing boats. This one even comes with a can of DM and bubblies. I think you just sold this one Captain.
The last boat video you showed, that was top! This one, if my house sold to day, I'd fly up to Maine, and buy this one. Just my size and all the right stuff! Thank you! ⛵⚓
The clips you guys add in like the gymnast tumbling and the diver diving is great!! Tasteful comedy, besides Q's dry humor, is perfect for these videos. Walt Schultz? His brother Charles is peanuts!
Great review Captain Q , you definitely know you stuff . It’s always a lesson in sailing for watching your vids. That certainly seems like a very nice boat and well built . Keep em coming 👍👍
As a wanna b sailor, I very much enjoy watching your critque of boats. I do learn things. Since i live on the coast in Florida, I may well buy a boat. Thanks to you both. This Shannon is looking very stout. The picture is my sisters "sea dog"!
I am so glad you reviewed a Shannon. I really, really appreciate Shannon's! It might be nice if you could review American made SV when available maybe as a "mini-series"; Tartans, IPY, Morris, Marlow-Hunter, Catalina, Hinckley, more Shannon's, etc? Weekly look forward to Thursday CQ shows!
Very nice...guess it would make it to the Netherlands don't think I would...thanks for the look sea...I am learning every episode thanks to you 2....and Sea Dog....
"What's the difference between a 'breast line' and a 'spring line?'" Well, "In the _Spring_ a young man's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of..." Your "sail ties" are what we call "gaskets." Really nice boat. It's got all the "take it anywhere" stuff for a solo sailor or a couple that really gets along well. Nice demo.
Another awesome video! Your videos have motivated me to rejoin my sailing club. Victory sloops, Pearson Ensigns and they used to have a Pearson Commander. Thanks again for the videos. How about a Bristol Channel cutter in the future?
Looked at a Shannon 28 at ferry point marina outside of Cambridge Maryland. Guy was asking something around 10k but he'd pulled all the deck hardware to reseat and life got in the way. Might still be there. Nice boat but very dark below deck. Nice feature to not have to sniff the head bag while sleeping in the v.
@@YachtHunters Yes sir , but it always best to check the bloogs and even there may be a hizzard in the way it is best to have peace of mind.... and while you are in there might as well replace the grumbo whether it needs it or not.... Good lord knows we don't need a blamph blowing out on trans Atlantic crossing...
was there something off the starboard side?...Sea Dog briefly dons a C-(canine) 95 mask! Also, hmm sometimes the Q caps seem different? Thanks for featuring this beautiful boat and great story!
Ahoy mateys another great video . I've been thinking of getting a boat but thought I was too old,but now I heard that this boat was sailed across the Atlantic and back by a seventy four year old you have given me new hope. Cheers.
Go for it!
If i got this boat i could take 25 years to prepare for my crossing.
How about if you do half and half ownership with someone else? Could that work to get you on the water and go further faster and safer?

Captain Q...Captain Q I just closed the deal on a 1985 freedom 33. Thanks for the great education on sailboats. It helped big time.
congrats!!
I'm jealous!! Still a few years away from purchasing my dream boat. Good luck with everything!
Good UA-camrs like comments. Great UA-camrs deserve them.

perfect for a solo sailor or even a couple coastal cruising once a shower is added in the head (you know wonen)
One of the best 28 footers have seen!!
fantastic little boat
One of my top 5 podcast! I watch podcast 10-12 times, great wisdom and knowledge. I live it and very much like all pods!
That is one beautiful boat......I had a IP-27 that was nice.....this baby is Sweeeeet !

It's like I can't wait for these videos to be dropped... thank you Captain Q for another amazing boat...
I can attest to the strength and quality of the Shannon boats, I had the privilege of working with Walter and Dave during the latter 80s.
What a great boat for 28 ft. Looks well built. Thanks for the view.
Thanks for another great episode, love me some Shannon yachts

Loved the question video!!!! Thank you Gentlemen!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great boat, Capt Q and Randy,as always excellent.
Thank you great showing of this small big sailing boat. Great job again from both of you !
Superb editing at 22:17-22:24. Thanks for the laugh and above all, thanks for your outstanding channel. Fair winds...
I could see myself sailing across the sea on that little boat. The smallest boat yet that has done that for me. Thanks for sharing.
Always something new to learn in Captain Q's videos. And this boat is VERY nice. Thanks for pointing out the build features that make this one of the best boats.
I learn so much from the Captain even after a number of years sailing and owning a couple boats! Love the music also!
Thanks, Michael!!
Great presentation. The closing music was perfect for this vessel.
G'day Captain and Ran-day, This yacht is just brilliant, ready to hit the waves by the looks of her, plot a course and hoist the main..Love this Yacht, love you guy's.
Beautiful vessel! Shannon’s are becoming one of my favorite sailboats.
Someday I want to sail before I'm too old. I absolutely love watching your videos. Thanks you Randy and Captain Q.
There's no such thing as too old, as long as you're still young at heart.

Which ? The boat or the DM
@@YachtHunters
both
Better make sure the Diny More is in the inventory.....Sea dog may have gor hungry and eaten it,
This is definitely one of my favorites so far and I’ve watched every video thus far. I wish we could’ve seen the keel though.
Thoroughness! and educational! very helpful for my armchair sailing. Love the Shannon.
One of your better "finds" IMO and if I were actually seriously looking I would have to consider this one. TY
Love this boat and the video. The jazz music is a great fit. the boat is high class as are you guys. thanks

Is it OK to give Captain Q and crew the thumbs up even though I won’t have time to watch this until later?
Another great find that is worth the asking price!
Captain Q says, "while I'm standing here, I want you to notice that I'm standing here."
Great review Captain Q , you definitely know you stuff . It’s always a lesson in sailing for watching your vids. That certainly seems like a very nice boat and well built . Keep em coming 👍👍
What an impressive use of space inside. These two have such a great sense of humour, that diving clip killed me😂
What a great smaller sized boat. Plenty of room for a sailing couple. Great episode guys.
Awesome little boat. Thanks Guys.
Our pleasure!
Great solid design especially the hull to topsides join. All good interesting stuff as usual from Capt Q and R.
Much appreciated
GOOD WORK MR WALTER ! GREAT VIDEO !

Nice boat! And it's actually in the water!!!
This has easily become my favorite channel.
Another Great Day!!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Captain Q!!! 🎈🎂
Wow what an excellent boat!
We agree!
She is a beautiful ship, love your music 👍. Thanks for sharing another great video.⛵️⛵️⛵️💕
Nice, I like the cutter rig with the self tacking stay sail!
Keeps you off the foredeck in a seaway… 👍👍

This boat has beautiful bumpers.
Sweetly well built boat!
Another informative and interesting review of a competent boat. Happily when the channel splits you take the “hither” route never the “yawn”…😊
this was a good episode
AWESOME EDUCATION AS ALWAYS. THANKS CAP'N

pretty boat. Excellent price. Thank you.
Our pleasure!
What a beauty of a boat!
I would only want tiller steering on a boat that small. Wonderful boat. Definitely would buy.
You guys are the greatest. BTW, Please provide a link to Randy's new UA-cam channel.
This Shannon is a PB for me!
What a great little boat. Impressive! Love this channel.
One of my favorite boats, nice video Captain Q... Great job
Thanks for posting and sharing. Love this boat.

Wow, that is one heck of a little boat for $42 I would buy that in a minute and sail to the south pacific 😀
make the man an offer he cant refuse

Wow, just wow!! I love this boat!!!
In the water review. 🤙🏻
Great cut-aways ! Always fun !
them suspenders are cool AF , I have noticed that you sailing fellas are real cool dudes... "Red Right Return" now I know where to go....
Those are the bouys not the braces. Lol

Hahahahaha. 🤗
Funny how the mind works... I find myself in deep contemplation of "sea dog" at random times in my day.... must be considered...
Once again, great job! Enjoying the show, thank you!
"Speaking of gymnastics" whilst heading for the V birth, funny.
Been checking out a bunch of Hans Christian boats. Number 11 on the list of most beautiful sailboats. 🤫
Another great video. Music is on point. Love the boat👌
The quality of the build is easily evident, workmanship is a lost art. If he made that in 38' I'd be scouring the globe to find one
Shannon did make a 38. Most of them are ketchs but they also made some cutters. I believe that they also built some 42/43 footers.
Well made boat that would do well for a couple or small family wishing to do coastal and limited passage sailing.
I fell in love with one in Solomons Maryland I'm looking for a albin vega
Very nice... and tempting. In the small boat category, I don't think you can do better than a Shanon 28. Maybe PS Orion 27.
Great video as always. Great boat as well
Really enjoy your channel. How about another boat on Monday. What say you Randay?
This is the best boat so far. I’ve even to Hither but have yet to get to yon.

I am in the market for a solo live aboard, blue water cruiser. This is SOOOO tempting!
Go for it!
Very nice little boat.
Super nice 28.
Beautiful little boat!!
I love you guys, keep them coming.
Am I noticing a somewhat more excited Captain, when the boat is in the water? Great run through of the rigging!
Around 12:11, what is that gorgeous boat in the background? The gaff-rig.
