Is there any knowledge why the super Capps have no crests and small head structure? Does the morph effect that directly or is that just from inbreeding trying to prove out the morph? Super interesting and cannot wait to see your future projects!
Are there any adult supers out there yet? Im curious how their color/translucence as well as their structure/crests develop. Definitely excited to see new things in the hobby!
Great job explaining this new morph!! I want a cappuccino so bad!! I want to breed Frappuccinos!! I'm I correct you get them by breeding cappuccino to a lilly white right? Thank you !! I love how you explain things for us!! Not alot of breeders like to explain how you pair. Keep it up 🥰🥰
What is it about super forms of genes that causes them to often have genetic issues? Seems like in most reptiles such as leopard geckos, crested geckos, ball pythons etc recessive traits have way fewer issues than dominant and co dominant traits
Brian, is superstripe a recessive trait? I am seeing a lot of ads on MM that say "Het for superstripe"...but I always thought it was more of a line bred trait?
@@robbysreptiles thx and yes that seems to be consensus it just seems weird to me when, observationally, the amount of dorsal "filler" is more of a continuum than a simple "super stripe" vs. "non super stripe". It's like trying to envision "100 percent pinstripe" as recessive when there are lots of 99 percents and lower...
most frustrating thing for me is knowing i likely HAD a cap at one point, but thought it was just a low quality petshop gecko and resold it for like 30 bucks. but this was in 2019.
They don't have any coloring, it looks like because they're missing their "scaley layer" lol scientific right...do they shed? I'm guessing that could be why you might not be able to get a Dalmatian! Wow they are so freaking cool though.
I was thinking about trying that because my gf thought they be coll unfortunately i realize its not possible with current lines of red because the capp would over write it but red spot i believe it possible
@@GreenspaceGeckos Have you seen the different colored Super Cappuccinos coming out of Korea? Some of them are white and yellow. I think that the reason these first ones are so dark is because the original line of Caps is very dark. Once you breed that to reds for a few generations I think we'll have red cappuccinos. Next step, red cap to red cap is probably going to make some sort of a shade of red Super Cappuccino. In time I think you will see a red translucent Super Cappuccino. A red Frappuccino is what I'd really like to see!
@Mark Huntley i was curious about that i actually have talk with rck and follow his project, although his reds from my understanding all eventually get overwritten by the cap, but will see what happens in several generations with the America lines of red. The gene is more powerful with age i think its possible eventually to line breed redder and redder but looking in the the exact phenotypes and genes how they enact is important to consider we just don't know what they mean.
There are multiple breeders who imported adults in the beginning of 2021 into the US. Brian is about 9 months behind the first adopters. I'm sure he'll have no problem catching up.
I'm just impressed with how well he controls 3 young Cresteds while concentrating on what hes talkin
Health concerns have popped up recently. They tend to suffer from spectacle eye and have smaller nostrils or none at all
I saw that recently too!
Where's the update of this year:)
Always love your content. Crested gecko info is so interesting! Hope to see more videos from you in the future. Keep up the great work.
Thank-you!

I don't believe anyone is sure yet, still a new morph, alot of research to be done
I just recently got my first 2 crested geckos. I love them.
Congratulations!
Those supers capps are so cool looking!
wow! these guys are incredible!! i cant wait to see the future of this morph

Thats correct!

Those super caps are so cool!!

Any updates on the lily white super frappuccino?

One of the projects for me will be structure they need it

It would be recessive

TIL that crested geckos are the orange cats of the gecko world! 😂

Are you located in Florida by chance?
@@Kevin_Matz nah, Pennsylvania.
Do the super capps feel different?
Not that I can tell, but its hard to say with such small ones
They remind me of the scaleless Ball Python.
Sadly, dalmation does in fact cross to melanistics. There are some on instagram with 20 or so dots
Thats fantastic news!
Lol when the seller Tell you what is beautifull ... And it happen to be the New gecko he bough in Korea
Holding 100k in geckos at one time....life goals
E.T Gecko 👽
I would like to point out a little misunderstanding cappuccinos aren't always white as adults, normally they yellow with age.

Jesus Loves all of you guys
I emailed about a possible cappuccino I have I sent you an email.
Basically breeding the crested gecko, out of the gecko….(shrug)
What in gods green earth are you talking about
@@jaykrizzle The Super Cappuccino lacks any 'crests'... thus breeding the 'crested' gecko out of the gecko.
Cappuccino or kappaccino ? ._.
Cappuccino
First comment who has a possible cappuccino waiting for the eggs to hatch

not a fan of the Super Cappuccino they don't even look like crested geckos
The Non-Capp-Cappuccino is in fact, Cap.
Iykyk lol
