I saw Chris live 3 times with Soundgarden (for the reunion tour) and 2 times solo and also Chester live with LP maybe 2 or 3 month before his death, just one fucking year away from Cornell's one :-(. 2 of my favourite singers and Artists. 2 great voices that went away but are still there with us everyday.

Cornell's death hurts me more than I could imagine. I wasn't listening to his solo albums and new Soundgarden much, but I love Audioslave. I always loved musical nonconformists: Dylan, Waits, Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, The Clash, Joy Division and I I thought about Chris as one of the last musicians of that kind: always true, real and charismatic. Now I feel, like there's almost nobody left. He really was the last american hero to whom music meant freedom of the soul...

Chris was awsome in all those bands and in solo. Both bands were 2 of my favourites bands of alltime. They had great names (and it's rare) with significant and simple meaning (thanks to Chris) and amazing songs that sounded like no one else. I would love your input on our last video from our first album. It got the attention of one of my heroes Joe Bouchard (ex bass player founding members of BÖC) who is following us on Soundcloud but returns from people who likes same music is always the best. SPIN: "You formed in 1984, broke big in 1991, and called it a day in 1997.Which period holds the fondestmemories for you?"
CHRIS CORNELL: "A time that sticks in my mind is one of Soundgarden’s first tours. We’d heard stories about the Athens scene and the Minneapolis scene and the Austin scene, and we went to these different cities and realized what we had in Seattle; it just felt more energetic than anywhere else. There’s a song on the new record, “Original Fire,” that sort of covers that period."
