Great job Luke and Geordie, bloody awesome! Thanks
Every fullboost video is great but these owner / build videos are some of the best 👍👍
Glad you like them!
Couldnt agree more 💯
You guys interview very well. Keep up the great work!
2nd this! Been saying it for the last couple years! 🤙🤙
Envious of how impeccably built and spotless this is! And it sounds amazing inside and out.
No shortcuts ! Great build... well done !
ZOOM magazine did a red one of these over 20 years ago with a 2JZ swapped into it, I loved that thing and wish I owned it!
Execution of this car is flawless. Incredible.
I love this car always loved the z series dattos and that is a perfect engine for it
How good, great set up
thats a better choice than an rb26 tbh, more true to the original car
Nice my parents bought my mom’s gray 240z at Whittier Datsun in Whittier Ca. Showroom car that had those wheels like the BBS wheels, front and rear spoilers that ran awesome. Wish I had that car. Would put BBS wheels on it and lower it.
What no 1000hp RB 😂 beautiful car, well thought out build
Hi Love what you have done i am considering Rb 26 conversion but may be swayed to turn to the M power, anyway I can contact you for a chat on the electrical side of the build.
Hey Nick. Reply with your email or mobile and I will get back to you
Plz make mk3 Supra and FC3S Rx7 shirts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
👌
That's porn!!❤
What a lovely build. I'm sure it triggers the Datsun people and the BMW people but he's really respected the car and still managed to build something which addresses the issues inherent in the Z which is fantastic.
I'm sure it's fantastic to drive and it looks gorgeous. Wouldn't change a thing.
Congrats to him, that car is an absolute credit to him. Well done.
Keeping a straight 6 is really keeping in the spirit of the car, and BMW's does some of the better ones these days. So many folks just chuck an LS motor in and call it a day. This is really a special car. I miss my old Z but it just rusted into nothin :(
I’m a huge Nissan and BMW guy, and this is beautiful
Great car but its missing one thing, a CSL Carbon intake which would give it the noise your looking for!
Dave is a mate of mine and I've been lucky enough to drive his beautiful Z.
It really is a wolf in sheep's clothing!
you're still alive ;)
Great choice of vehicle and driveline.
As a former BMW tech, and fanatical about 70s Japanese cars, this is awesome!
Nice car and even better shirt David shout out to Al at the Skid Factory 👍🍻
Yep, big fan of Al and Woody @theskidfactory
ABSOLUTELY huge @theskidfactory fan all the way in Florida, USA.
i was expecting some grief in the comments but quality builds shuts the haters up
Fantastic build. I’ve had multiple Datsuns and later in life multiple BMWs including an E30 with a Brintech S54, 6 speed, R200 diff conversion. This Z is perfection. When you’re ready, sell it to me…….seriously. Love it 👌🏻
I wish these type of builds were covered more instead of the half built exhaust out the hood, gutted interior, no heater useless garbage that is regularly covered / built on UA-cam
Way to keep a classic on the road, and the BMW powerplant conversion probably ran the same coin as an RB anyway, neither are cheap😂.
In my limited BMW experience he's severley understating the frustrations that the electronics and wiring bring into your life😂.
Sweet build, sacrelicious.
Bloody hell!!
I'd be happy parking that next to the Torana from the last video. What else blows me away is how much it sounds like an original Z engine anyway. Beautiful build Mate, congratulations.
Probably my favourite car on fullboost, despite the fact it has no boost.
This isn’t a build I expected to love like I did. Very nice build
2 door sports car classic with bmw motor....reminds me of a certain modern car with a legendary badge, do love a good z though moogs one is a favourite of mine this is pretty bloody cool though
What a spectacular build, huge credit to everyone involved and another great video from Full Boost!
Always nice seeing some different engine conversions, esp bc its not a jdm, aussie or American engine lol. Very cool swap! But the amount of work Owner put into the car as a whole? Omfg, salute! Its just absolutely beautiful- and im not even a Nissan guy lol
Best engine to use in the z chassis, ide have adapted front and rear suspension though 💪💪 e36 m3 is one of the best drivers cars ever built , the 6 speed would make it a better car but thats about all its missing is an overdrive gear , and the 240 shell is my favorite datto
watched him build this over years in a z forum...good to see a proper detailed vid of it
Awesome build perfect engine choice 👌
Brought a brake upgrade off dave and had a good look around the car at classic japan 2022. Legit one of the wildest but cleanest zeds in the country. A true master at work. Legend. Look forward to the Volvo's completion 👌
Thanks Michael
What an absolute stunning build
The attention to detail is amazing
Credit to the owner and the build.. commitment and quality right to the end.
Japanese car, German engine. If you had some Italian styling elements in the interior, you'd have a full blown Axis vehicle. 😂
Great build the car looks awesome and a BMW six was made to go in that car ..
This is one classy , tasteful restomod. The BMW engine does not look out of place or overdone. Nice ride overall.
This is an thorough, mindful build, ten out of ten full boost for publishing this👊
One of the most tasteful
restorations lve seen..100 percent top notch..not relying on 6000 dollar wheels and tires for bling..looks brillant.
What a gorgeous build! Full credit to the owner.
That was mine in the 90’s you were in Luo. Very nice package
Amazing build, from concept thru to execution. Balanced, powerful, clean, classy, graceful!!!
Very Nice. Great looking S30
Great viewing ! great build and info👍🇦🇺Top Stuff!
Goodonya
Unassuming but has ridiculous M Badge ...
Forget all the haters and purest. This build is awesome. If it works and done well, good one you 👏👏👏
awesome project, would be such a fun car to drive❤
Sits nice in the bay.
What a beautiful car even in baby poo. Great build.
This was a sick episode. Thanks for finding this gem and sharing it with us 👍
If I was to ask if it has air conditioning; I'd give you full permission to just slap me across the face lol
Ahh i see how to make a japanese car unreliable 👌👌
E36 M3 powered 240Z.
Perfect combination of Dr Jakyll and Mr Hyde.
I like it has cable throttle and kept N/A as it should be.
Also it has same power as a factor LS1.
Perfect build David 💯
Totally agreed
Which is super impressive for a 30 year old 6 cylinder.
POS bmw motor
Only proper upgrade is an rb
The ls is also a far superior motor than anything bmw ever built . Bmw is junk. What a tragedy for this Nissan
@@ThorOdinson-zc2kq hahaha Nissan and Toyota needed turbos to just match the hp bmw inline 6s made NA. They're superior in every way
@@shifty1927 is that why billet 2jz and rb30 blocks put down 3200 plus hp in Australia? That’s right now. Bmw never made it past 1500 in any motor ever. Ever. That’s the m12 megatron 1.5 in qualifying turbo trim not race trim either. Race mode is 500-600hp less. We can do this all day .
A nice revvy 6 cyl in a old style coupe is mostly all i need in life!
Saw this up close at BMW AU. Solid engineering, great driveline choice and quality fit and finish.
A credit to the owner.
Gorgeous car. Looks dead original. Love it.
What a beautifuly done conversion I love it n/a too
That is a special build, nice review boys!
What an absolute ripper! Not something you'd normally see but I absolutely love it
Very nice 240....tasty 👌
That has to be one of, if not the neatest engine bays for a motor swap I've ever seen, every impressive.
Carbon airbox on that and it'll be nothing but induction noise. Beautiful car.
Beautiful build, thanks for sharing.
Wow, admiration from England ! That looks the bollox and the engine bay is perfection Incredible 😎😎
RS wantanabe or some Te37v would have looked amazing on this and not been an overly expensive option. Having replica wheels just cheapens the vibe for me and its clear this isn't a cheap build!!
You're probably the only one who is losing sleep over the wheel choice 😅👍 car looks great as is haha...
Can't argue with the style, but I'm sure they're on the heavier side. But with barely over a tonne to move with 300+hp, I'm sure he barely notices!
😄 I knew I'd be able to rope you into a wheel comment hahah @@fullboost
We have TEs on our Yaris....so original lol 😂
I do like the Watanabes and would be inclined to agree that it would be the best wheel choice for this kind of car, but I don't know about the TE37s. You see TE37s just about everywhere in so many different cars, and to me, it's starting to get kind of real boring to look at. I actually don't mind the looks of this one, at least it's more unique than the TE37s. Not to mention so many Datsun S30 builds use these Rota wheels.
The engine bay looks SO good, and so factory and clean.
Beautiful car....perfectly designed....I remember it from way back then.....you had a brilliant idea with the BMW engine...she sounds veeerrry confident now....original colour, too. A gem.
This is such a good combination of classic beauty with modern engineering.
I had a 240Z back in the 90s. It was not a good example, but was all I could afford at the time. After that I stopped messing around with cars until C19 hit. Then, I bought a cheap BMW E46 330CI and totally fell in love. This project is particularly interesting to me.
Stupid comment; “not all that inspiring or overly powerful”, it’s engine tech from almost 50 years ago.!! Would be the same as saying “the Motorola international 1000 cell phone (brick) not that good because it hasn’t got touch screen or email”, ridiculous.!!!!
DDDAAAMMMNNN!!!! This is nice. All of you in Australia are on a different level man. This is nice I have seen guys put BMW engines in the S 30 cars but not very many. All I have to say this is nice. Nice nice. Over here in the United States, Los Angeles, California
He has done a unique build, sensational.
Doberman Pinscher meets Akita doggy style = BMW 240Z .
Nicely done well balanced car. The only thing that stands out that I would change is the hot air intake right behind the radiator. The filter should be enclosed and air should come from the original location in front of the radiator. I have a friend who I helped build his Z car. It has an LS out of a Cadillac CTS V with the 6 speed transmission and a 300 ZX turbo differential.
I’ve always dreamed of restoring a Volvo 240 form the early 80’s and using a BMW M50 as the engine.
Great build!!!
Each to their own!!! It is yours, build it, change it do what you want!!! It is part of a process to build a car that is truly uniquely yours!!! 😼😎
B is for build,,, whom I watch regularly,,, built a similar car from scratch.. Awesome to watch... Both..
@katokid5384 has built a brilliant car and he’s a top bloke. This thing is soo clean
Thanks @ltrsukinger. Gotta love the purity
@@katokid5384so umm can you change the odd strut tower bolt out please. It hurts to see
Now ,,,,if u can stuff an M power motor in a Datsun 620 pickup,,,👍🏾I would shit my pants!!
Wonderful. But should've used those original Nissan black overfenders to get a bigger tyre patch under it.
Love this car! Very nice build. I like the chosen parts as well as the factory color.
My all time favorite, it's been a dream of mine for years to do a project with one of these. I almost bought one last year for $2,000 but there was just too much rust.
Great car and very nice resto!!!
The M badge should have not been simply placed at the rear. It should have replaced the N in Datsun. That would mess with your head. 😅
Fantastic build
A restomod i never would though of for a 240z 🤯 i would like to get a 260z and put a vh45 in it with a z32 tranny
Is heart warming to see that this car has been given all the love it deserves and some. Pristine project. Well done.!!
Thanks to Fullboost for reporting so well.
people are starting to crack the CAN proticol's , Soon we all get to do all car's make everything work seemless.
OMG y'all, this is the wet dream car of my childhood dreams but with a better than LS swapped 240Z. OMG. Is Allied his hot rodding company? You Aussies do some amazing stuff for a little country, hey. What is that weird little white car in the background shot, one of those Japanese Kei cars?
Allied is a company in Qld Aus, they have their own UA-cam channel @ theskidfactory
If you're referring to the car shown at 8:11, its much bigger than a Kei car, its a GR Yaris.
This is about as dream car as I could ever want. Great job.
Sacrilege! It should have a RB26 or VR38 in there.
Moog from mighty carmods has rb26dett powered one of these.
tastefully done i like it
Before I watch. Hope brakes and suspension match
One of the best M engines. s50b32 🔥🔥 Wish we got them in the states. Always wanted to boost one.
Such a beautiful S30 and dude killed it when he put them stupid ass mirrors on
great content watched til the merch. great car great restoration.

terrible colour.
This is not what I picture Australia looking like, it looks like where I live in Connecticut, USA
It's in an area called the Basin, Victoria. Near the Dandenongs. Definitely a different landscape.
They had independent hunters shooting kangaroos on sight so it didn’t ruin the video
Don’t let the scenery fool you either, it’s all CGI 😂
Joking, australia is beautiful
@@cd1250 😂
Australia, like the USA, is big enough to have a lot of climate and landscape diversity. The Dandenong Ranges and Yarra Valley, an hour or two east of Melbourne, have a more European climate. Big wine growing region.
@@richardhoulton4016 it’s a beautiful country, I was surprised that I’ve never seen any video of this part of it.
Definitely not the first to do this swap, but it is a nice example. I love the color too!
Perfectly done Dave
Thanks Pagers! Must catch up soon
