We've gotten a lot of comments on price and I just want to note that, yes we understand that $800 is a lot of money. However, when you price out everything you get, including a HD FPV system which starts around $400 alone, its pretty amazing what you get for this price point. Not to mention comes with everything needed to fly including battery and charger. If you are already building custom race quads, then yes this may not be for you. However, if you are fairly new and looking for something to grow with, that doesn't require building/tinkering, this may be a good option. -Alex
FliteTest, i love rc things, and i buyed a little indoor plane (Simulus Dp-330 (yes im in germany)) and i just flyed it 1 time in a hall, after that it the motors didnt spin but it was full loaded. Can you help me or have an idea how to repair?
+FliteTest Alex, comon! How can you grow on a propietary system?!? Only 'thing' you can reuse is the ProSight system. Even te batteries aren't generic. Radio for other models? Boooo, bad advice!
I have been flying DJI quads for about one year, heavy into the Mavic Pro , and Phantoms. Those are flying cameras ! The Mavic is absolutely incredible and fun to fly. Along comes the Falcore, and I can suddenly experience FPV ..There is so much negativity in these commets. Why ? If $ is your concern you are in the wrong hobby. I think the Falcore is absolutely AMAZING ! At $800. it is a bargain. BARGAIN !! This is NOT a children's toy, this is an extremely advanced high tech quad, with a LOT of features. I am having so much fun, I fly all day as fast as I can recharge the battery (more enroute). To the folks at Animon Connex, THANK YOU !!. For someone to have the guts to take this giant step forward is so awesome. I highly recommend this to anyone wishing to take a step into FPV Racing. For someone on a limited budget who has the ability to build, tune, repair your own quad, this is not for you...
CaribbeanZapatta true but I really wanted to like build everything from the individual components so i can learn something. but yes I agree if you're a noob and all you wanna do is fly this is the best quad you can get.
I don't know about everyone else but I'm so glad that FliteTest is able to do these high quality episodes along side the easier to produce vlogs and podcasts for every day of the week. I look forward to each video every day, keep it up guys!
I was thinking of buying a beginner quad like this that has everything but the cost is just too high. Thanks to the friendliness and helpfulness of the people of this hobby I was able to build my own
Josh would really like to see how the oh crap button works when your flying along and one of the power line pop out of nowhere and all u see is ground sky ground sky see if the oh crap button will pull out of the spiral of death 🤘🏻great work thank you for all u all have done for our Rc hobby/community from brisvagaes down under fly low speed safety
For safety try flying around a cable dish on a home roof, some don’t have big areas to get to fly each day , usually have to travel to get a open safe area to fly , backyard safety is my point. Lessons learned , cable dish broke communication between quad and transmitter which resulted in injury. Now I fly no gps quads only!
You may think $800 is a lot, but one has to pay about that much for a total outfit anyways for any nice analog FPV racing setup. I have Falcore myself and it is simply EXCELLENT. Well worth the money and you definitely get what you paid and more. It is easy to see the design takes account of all the lessons from FPV community and pushes you into HD realm. High performance, easy for beginners, easy to maintain, and repair. The vertical control is SO EASY and fun :)
intro is sweet, and love your show guys. started off a cpl months ago with a nano quad as a bday gift and went on UA-cam to fix it lol and stumbled upon a quad video of yours. Been binge watching ever since. And just ordered a new quad last week to advance myself in the hobby. CAN'T FREAKING WAIT!!!
I'd like to see Meghan try the falcore since she is very new to flying. Maybe a long term review with her to really show the progression of a new pilot in the racing/freestyle hobby. Kind of like the life cereal "Hey Mikey!" You can do a "Hey Meghan, she likes it!" Series Ha What mods are possible to the main "rail?" Battery choices/swapping motors/hydro dip that shell! Will it carry a GoPro and if so, how?
I have obtained a Falcore in order to evaluate its use for an indoor drone flying facility and believe me its ideal for that function. Shield mode keeps the altitude capped and customers/pilots can't switch to the other modes unless the unit is disarmed. I've flown over 6 batteries with it while in Shield mode and I believe it'll be a "blast" for beginner indoor racing.
Wouldn't be much of a race being that I'm only evaluating 1 Falcore, but here's a place in Long Island, NY which will be using the Falcore's in the same manner as us. www.lidronesportsleague.com/
This is why I subscribe to you guys. Product reviews that are real. You guys are awesome. The price complainers must be new to the hobby. Do a real build and you will spend $500 easily. This one comes rtf and is HD. Looks like a TBS Vendetta. Pretty cool.
A racing drone any one can fly- even the homeless? But I really like that sonar - I just finished suggesting to some one else that sonar ground hugging would not be too hard to set up for low fpv...and presto - here it is! Great! The technology just keeps rolling on!
Would be neat to see this how "beginner" of a multirotor this is by putting it in the hands of someone who hasn't flown multirotors before or even flown anything R/C before.
Very cool! It's a bit rich for me, but very innovative design! Also, just wanted to offer a bit of constructive criticism for you guys... when you were at the orange grove, the footage was all FPV; for reviews, or any flight video for that matter, I always like having a LOS image as a viewer, so I can actually "see the bird in it's natural habitat". It's cool to show the FPV, but from that vantage point, you could be flying just about anything and it all more or less looks the same when I'm watching at home. Anyways, keep up the great work!
I got one. Love it actually. Just don't like the controller gimbals. You can use your own batteries and you can change out motors and escs if you wanted too.
Looks interesting. I like the XT30 motor connectors, nothing worse than bending a shaft, then having to solder and pray that the wire order is right, then connecting to the computer and flipping direction. A few things: 1. Can you just use your own transmitter? Like a BNF with FrSky? Could I just put a XSR in using SBUS? 2. Can you run Betaflight 3.1? Air Mode? Super Rates? F3, F4 board? 3. How much does it weigh and what is the frame size? 4. Like the connex pro sight HD, I have huge concerns about lag and digital artifacting. Even in the brief demo you just showed, I saw dropped frames and huge frozen blocks. 5. If you use Fat Shark dominator HD/HD2/V3, will there an additional lag via the HDMI port?
You should have Stefan fly it through the woods again and see if he can knife edge like he did with alex's quad in a podcast a while ago. Then we can see how durable it really is!😂
Didnt really seem that fast in the fpv video, seemed very smooth though. When you get yours will you be getting the safety guards that the second one in the test tent appeared to have and appear in the video Intro?
in shield mode it not the fastest due to the limited tilt. in the other two modes it's much faster. If your a killer pilot then you should pass this by I guess but I'd think if you coming up then give it a shot. Pep on here down it for the price ($799). But if you can afford get it, if not don't. There are other cheaper 1st time buys out there. I think I found the guards at B&H (www.bhphotovideo.com/c/buy/amimon-accessories/ci/34872/N/3561169815)
Great video guys,,,, I just got my Falcore yesterday....A step by step video on adjusting the rates in Cleanflight would be great. As more accomplished pilots use the Falcore for the HD flying some adjusting in rates are going to be needed in Acro ...such as myself. I just need to turn down the rc rate in Acro a little and I would be all set.
Jonathan Taulbee no, you really don't... you'll learn yourself the wrong habbits (musscle memory), have to buy goggles with HDMI, and spare parts will be expensive. Apart from the prosight, don't think you can reuse much for other/next quads, since it's all propietary.. You will crash a lot, so better to start cheap(er).
Nice review guys, I may need to get into racing now. Hah! Seriously, the indestructible nature of the Falcore looks awesome. I was hoping you guys would go down into the orange groves and do some that hot shoe navigating. I was expecting less video distortion at such close distances, my only concern. I'll need to look at the latency specs on that setup, maybe the video disturbance is a trade-off for low latency.
It's an interesting bird and I view it much as I do the fixed-wing model planes that come with similar protective software/hardware to help pilots gain (or recover lost) skills without seriously damaging the equipment. Purists hate them but they do work. Yes simulators can perform the same function and are getting better but, for me at least, they don't provide the same experience of actually flying. Would I buy the connex? If I had the money and could use goggles then definitely yes as I'd probably save the difference in just repair costs. And for what it comes with as a package I'm not sure that it is overpriced at all. Looking forward to seeing more flights when FT get one to play with
Hi guys Thanks for doing a quick introduction of this quad I really value your opinions 👍 I have mine on order through Great Hobbies in Canada They carry your products 👍 I am not new to flying but I am just beginning to fly FPV and I can't wait to start getting into the FPV experience with this quad I have never built a quad so tuning the set up after I get used to the stock set up will be a major learning curve for me I am hoping maybe you can do a video about Clean Flight and explain all the different adjustments and what kind of affect they will have on the quad Keep up the great job of helping everyone with all the fun and informative videos I look forward to getting alerts on my phone that you have posted a new video 👍 Also just wonder if you have figured out what kind of a project you are going to do with those enormous motors and props ? is this truly amazing. and is it worth 800. I want to get a good first quad and this look perfect. but is is really expensive and I would love to see some more specs on it.

I'm going to be 16 in June so I will be able to drive from Columbus to flight fest. My parents are mot involved in the hobby, if my parents allowed me to go can i go by my self if i'm not a legal adult?
Nice idea and looks like a hit from the beginner flight perspective, but very pricey. In fact I could 3 good birds for price of one of these. Beginners usually want to start out at a low price to dip their toes in the water first, so I can't see it taking off as a starter drone with a price tag of around $800. That leaves experienced flyers, and they are not likely to be interested in the new modes (which is the main value added) so why would they want it? Worrying prospects methinks.
illyounotme Hmm.... Possible but I think racers are more focused on power to weight & $ ratios than extra modes. Let's review this debate in a couple of months time. 😉
The Vendetta bundle thats all in one minus goggles is about the same price. 800+ And to be honest given a similar price the added safety features of this might be enough to sway people. I do wonder what DJIs racing quad is gonna be like though(i mean they have to have one coming. they have a whole motor setup for it you can buy) Will they be very Phantom like in safety/anti-crash features as well?
Check out UAVFuture's channel. He has a video on a $300 quad setup which looks like it's actually decent. Not the best obviously but it's as cheap as you can go and still go fast.
Hey flite test do u guys have any connexs ive been looking for one EVERYWHERE!!! Please answer me i love that quad and im willing to buy at any cost(within reason)!!!!!!!
What is the resolution of the HD link and do you notice any latency when flying flat out in acro? How does it compare to a dialed in custom racer sitting at ~500-600 grams?
@flitetest. How are you able to film the FPV? I bought the Fatshark HD3 with DVR but since this is digital and the goggles can only record analog - I'm at a loss. Or maybe I wasted money on Fatshark??
Fly it into a wall at full throttle, half throttle, 1/4 throttle. I wana see how durable those o-rings are. Get it upside down and sideways and test the "panic button". What's the strongest wind it can hover in place in? How easy do you think it is to learn aerobatics with compared to other quads. Cost of parts and availability. Thanks.
We've gotten a lot of comments on price and I just want to note that, yes we understand that $800 is a lot of money. However, when you price out everything you get, including a HD FPV system which starts around $400 alone, its pretty amazing what you get for this price point. with a remote as well
FliteTest does the speed build kit come with a controller
+ goggles that accept HDMI, not my beginner Quad.
FliteTest, i love rc things, and i buyed a little indoor plane (Simulus Dp-330 (yes im in germany)) and i just flyed it 1 time in a hall, after that it the motors didnt spin but it was full loaded. Can you help me or have an idea how to repair?

CaribbeanZapatta I agree if money is a concern don't do RC do something like that asa hobby
Send it to me. That's what you should do with it : ) I'll put it through some paces
ahhh no its not.

How does this feed from five years ago look just as good as DJI FPV, we need to revisit this! Love these vids!
that is probably the coolest rtf FPV racer i have seen :) .. good job guys! hope to see " beginner RC *drone* " video series coming soon!!!
The disassembly looked like a firearm take down. Really cool.
I finally ordered mine two days ago! Can't wait to fly this thing. Waiting was smart as I paid $499 instead of the original $800.
Compare it with Vendetta and ask Trappy how is the cooperation between Connex and TBS going.
my favorite UA-cam channel is back

LOL But what if you loose to you!!! HA I'm in the same boat here in TX. Sometimes it sucks being first. lol
Love you guys so much such a inspiration to beginner flyers
Put the Falcore in a race up against similar sized quads. Love you guys!
Save the embarrassment, and don't.

"Beginner" with giant pockets....
It is a decent investment for sure! But, it does come fully loaded! ha
Blessings,
S.O.
FliteTest can I get the mini whoop.
I can pay for shipping
Thank you :D
AMEN BROTHER thats what i said
what fpv goggle's did you use?
I can't find a price. How much?
absolutely amazing!
Looks pretty cool. Allows anyone to jump right into fpv flying and avoid "buy it twice because you'll wreck the first one" syndrome.
You are AWESOME! @Flite Test
One area DJI is not into is racing quads and this company has a good head start with this very well thought out quad IMO.
Dji just launched it's Racing Quad

Another video from Sebring to remind me that somehow I missed meeting you guys while I was there! Love the channel though keep it up!
this looks great for everywhere

Takes out the fun and knowledge of building a quad
thank you for showing me my first quad purchase
I like the idea of a "panic button". Shouldnt programmable radios be able to do that if programmed correctly to a switch/button?
we need more review style videos, sure these videos are cool and show off new tech, but we need more critical videos

I really want to try one of these out.
hey yall. these falcores are awesome. i was just wondering if yall know if you could use your own 4s lipo, or do you have to use a connex battery?
There are a few 4s you can use. www.readymaderc.com/store/in...oducts_id=6108
www.readymaderc.com/store/in...oducts_id=6107 This is only 2 of them
WOW they named it Falcore! Is the next one going to be Atrayu? I actually like it!
Have a look at: instagram.com/connexhd/ see crash video in slow motion
Wow. Looks amazing. New to this sort of thing but looks like an expensive place to start with the quads (how many days till Christmas)!!!

How does the latency with the Connex VTX compare to an analog VTX system?
Hi guys
Thanks for doing a quick introduction of this quad I really value your opinions 👍 I have mine on order through Great Hobbies in Canada They carry your products 👍 I am not new to flying but I am just beginning to fly FPV and I can't wait to start getting into the FPV experience with this quad I have never built a quad so tuning the set up after I get used to the stock set up will be a major learning curve for me I am hoping maybe you can do a video about Clean Flight and explain all the different adjustments and what kind of affect they will have on the quad Keep up the great job of helping everyone with all the fun and informative videos I look forward to getting alerts on my phone that you have posted a new video 👍 Also just wonder if you have figured out what kind of a project you are going to do with those enormous motors and props ? My suggestion was a Radio Flyer wagon which wouldn't even need a new name to describe it LoL Have another fun filled day with all your RC stuff and friends 😊
is this truly amazing. and is it worth 800. I want to get a good first quad and this look perfect. but is is really expensive and I would love to see some more specs on it.
Falcore= never ending story.
Cool introduction
please do more varieties of consumer quads.
autel xstar premium
and now they are coming out with v2 and new 1 inch sensor camera.
amazing design
Where did the DIY days of flitetest go? At least with drones lately all I see is ready to go stuff :( I loved the early videos where you threw some aluminum tubes together and flew them!
That's actually pretty cool! Like the DJI of racing drones ;)
Could we get a full review on the Parrot Bebop 2 FPV?
My friend got one, its pretty cool.
Also, I remember seeing Josh flying around with the Disco, but when will there be a full review for it and the cockpit glasses?
Hope to see it!
can you guys please make a scratch build t28 trojan? I'd build a speed build kit or two 😋
been watching since 2011
should I invest in one of these or a mavic?
TCC I just bought some on amazon thanks👍👍👍
Build your own quad. Do it. You learn so much more, and you can fix it yourself.
nils pils where is a good guide?
Check out the channel painless360. He has amazingly helpful content that is easy to understand.
Have tj attend a race with the falcore and see how it performs compared to other quads of the same class
You guys should hook up with Rotor Riot and do a full race/freestyle shakedown vs. their own personal rigs...
the glasses you 2 were using , how do you rate them vs the Fatshark's that your used to using?
great video. LOL how many times did they say literally.. Be blessed
Please do a top ten or five list about warbirds
Looks pretty cool but are those proprietary batteries? If so are they expensive? Thanks guys. Send me one and I’ll review it.
Do a range test
You should fly through the woods to test the HD downlink's response to ghost branches
Hi,, I in joy all your videos, and things you do, can you tell me if the walkera furious is a good FPV drone, I do fly the walkera 150, and the 250 advance ,FPV, I have been flying my 320 have not done the FPV yet, I heard it was not a good FPV drone be cause the motors tilt, ??I been flying drones over 7 yrs now and build my drones all so i have the tarot 680 pro hex and fly it FPV with the DJI controler ISOD, GPS,its good to take pic, now im flying the mini drones and they are much more fun than the big drones, but,, I do have the walkera 320, it flyes real good, I heard it was not good for FPV, ,, what do you think ???? thank you,
Noticed that HD recorder I'm not sure of the model but I think it's capable of 4k right?
I'm going to be 16 in June so I will be able to drive from Columbus to flight fest. My parents are mot involved in the hobby, if my parents allowed me to go can i go by my self if i'm not a legal adult?
Eddie Funny ,
You can only go if you're an illegal adult! ; )
Where do you buy spare batteries? and spare parts /accessories, FPV goggles?
When you get one, you should get it to the max altitude and see how many front flips it can do before it hits the ground
really cool video!
And to be honest given a similar price the added safety features of this might be enough to sway people.
I do wonder what DJIs racing quad is gonna be like though(i mean they have to have one coming. they have a whole motor setup for it you can buy) Will they be very Phantom like in safety/anti-crash features as well?
What happened to the Falcore? Can't get a hold of one now!
that controller looks wicked
David Mathay thanks but what if my plane is a smaller one (Sport Cub S) wouldn't it melt it
Please show some easy/affordable FPV setups, because I don't find any that are sold by trustworthy ebay-sellers and affordable at all.
Check out UAVFuture's channel. He has a video on a $300 quad setup which looks like it's actually decent. Not the best obviously but it's as cheap as you can go and still go fast.
J. H. Eachine Wizard and some Quantum goggles is probably the cheapest 'decent' entry to it.
I got my first from valkmanRC on ebay. He gave me lots of help after i bought from him and he knows what he is doing. I'll recommend him.
J. H. If you want an awesome FPV micro quad go check out the Emax Babyhawk.
carbonfire yea I really like Stew at UA Futures he does a good job on reviews. I don’t know if he has reviewed this one or not. I need to check.
Wonder how much its gonna cost you if you break an arm. So if you break one arm you gotta actually replace both at the same time?
I wanna get one. I need it!
i would like yall to do a review on a bebop 2 pretty please.
Hey flite test do u guys have any connexs ive been looking for one EVERYWHERE!!! Please answer me i love that quad and im willing to buy at any cost(within reason)!!!!!!!
Wow this is amazing
Also could you review the parott swing, I know you guys will have a time finding out how it works
only $700 at my local shop much better right. I heard somewhere that I should upgrade the camera. What do you think
I have always wanted to see a quad do a motor off drop from as high as you can see
The props look like flowers.
What is the resolution of the HD link and do you notice any latency when flying flat out in acro?
How does it compare to a dialed in custom racer sitting at ~500-600 grams?
This is amazing!!!
@flitetest. How are you able to film the FPV? I bought the Fatshark HD3 with DVR but since this is digital and the goggles can only record analog - I'm at a loss. Or maybe I wasted money on Fatshark??
Hi FlitTest could you PLEASE make a review on the DIY Tiny Trainer - Getting Started Package?
is there a fpv drone or plane that has full camera movement like your in the cockpit and you can look around using the headset?
i get the price point and i dont think its too insane considering dji prices etc... however i do wish googles woukd have been included.
what Goggles are those? are those made by connex. do they come with the fpv kit?
What transmitter should i get for the Getting Started Package?
Finally a drone for me 😀
can you do a build video for the EASY MAX trainer from 3D lab print (directions are not thuro)
Thanks.
Also, what flight modes are allowed during races?
Is the $400 video link really worth it compared to others available on the market. Convince me it is.
try this crash test
