The U-Bolt is a separate inspection, it's part of the Suspension loose missing fasterners. Not the spring leaf. This could cost you a mark or an automatic fail the entire test because the exammer will think you don't know what you're talking about, or how to identify a defect in the real Trucking world. A lot of these videos are out of place with missing words and not the full step by step inspection. The words that's written on the schedule 1 inspection sheet are the exact complete words the exammer wants you to say and do. They are the full complete inspection for that particular item.
Loose U bolt is a major defect of loose, missing or broken suspension fasteners not of broken spring leaf.
It even says in the sheet that the majors are b,c meaning u bolt which is (d) is not supposed to be included.
