I have always liked Dior shadows better than Chanel. It would be neat to do a luxury shadows cage match between brands like Chanel and Dior, Givenchy, etc. They are so expensive and not all luxury brands' shadows are widely reviewed. Love your videos!

The deep pallet actually look gorgeous on you. Maybe just a primer would help them last longer

I think the similarity between the two gold shades was what took me aback: at this price point, I feel like it is a design fundamental to keep that from happening. I have been very impressed with Chanel’s collections ever since Lucia Pica took over, but these palettes felt like a regression. By the way, have you ever tried the Chanel Lip Blushes?
These two eye shadow palettes really did not interest me at all so I'm not surprised by the poor review. Chanel is a hit or miss with eye shadow palettes.

Your review came up just as I was coming back from the store RETURNING the deep palette . I had nothing but fall out and glitter everywhere no matter what brushes I used. Not their best effort and I am a die hard Chanel addict.. This does not compare to the Pat McGrath ..thank you for an honest review!

Thanks! Deep was the one I was interested in, but I would have been sending it back. Silver pink and Talpa are the only other 2 on my immediate list out of their singles. May just try those. Glad Chanel is coming out with more cream colors that aren’t loaded with glitter.

I bought the light pallet and couldn’t agree more with you. Very disappointing overall. The shades don’t blend well and there’s no staying power to them - even with a primer and good application. Thanks for such an honest review. Wish I’d seen it before I bought. 😉

I'm wondering if you used a different camera setting or different camera? The video and the swatches were not as clear as I am used to seeing when I view your videos. Thank you for reviewing this as I was leaning toward the warmer palette. At this point, I think I will pass on it.

It looks beautiful to me. The head beauty consultant at Shoppers' Drug Mart in Canada recommended it to me.
I do prefer Dior summer release, these are because of their quality or the lack of as well as size of pans almost unusable. On the other hand are you planning to get any of the new Armani Tokyo gardens Eye Tints?
I m very underwhelmed by this whole collection. Happy I purchased the recent nine pan palette. You can create a neutral look or a more vibrant look. Although this collection is a pass for me I thank you for the review and swatches.

I have many eyeshadows, both cheap and expensive, that need a good help (primer) to handle a working shift.
What I like from higher end is that colors/shades are usually more complicated and harder to dupe. But yeah, paying that money I would expect them to do my dishes too or at least rethink their claims.
1+ years later but I think the light, medium and deep palettes may have been intended for different skin intensities
I totally disagree. The eyeshadows from the new (deep) palette are very beautiful and longlasting. I do my makeup early in the morning and it lasts fresh and beautiful until the evening when I remove it before I go to bed. All you say in this video is far from the truth.

For the price you pay for Chanel cosmetics....they are poor. Your eye makeup is always beautiful and , while I am here.... just love that ring you always wear with what I think is a clear quartz gem in it ..... love to know the story of that attractive ring Michele :)

I wish Chanel would change their packaging per products, I stopped buying them because I have to look at the bottom or open them up to see what I want to wear, a lot of luxury brands do that, not purchasing for that reason only.
