I truly think beauty influencers have forced beauty companies to wake up and put out quality products. Just based on your palettes that ranked low on your list that were powdery and had no staying power, consumers bought them and when they didn’t perform, we assume it was user error. Nowadays there’s no hiding behind the name...if you put out crap for $80, you get called out on it and consumers will not purchase it. Influencers have saved me a ton of money over the years. Thank you for all your testing and reviewing Michele, it’s so appreciated.

I feel you! My fav is also limited addition. It’s the Lumiere Tendresse face palette. The blush is the prettiest pink ever! And the lipsticks are beautiful too. It’s just the perfect palette for a soft flowery girlie look! ❤️❤️❤️😩
I got the Enigma palette in 2010. Heheh. I had seen a pixiwoo tutorial using this and I bought the palette and practised the look Sam came up with so many times so that I could recreate the look for a family wedding. I bought the Chanel Eclat Enigmatique based on your review and this eye shadow quad has remained my favorite. It looks scary on the pan but is actually very pretty and versatile 👍 love it.

Surprised to see none of the original quads that came out with when Chanel reformulated on the list: Tisse Rivoli, Tisse Cambon, Tisse Camelia etc. My favourite of them was the now-discontinued Tisse Venetien (it had the surprise combination mentioned with pink and green). And to this day Tisse Rivoli is my most used super-neutral-but-not-boring gorgeous brown everyday palette.

Agree with what you said about the flower quads, looks just like kids makeup. If you like the colour story of the 358 one, you should check out CT Uptown Girl quad - probably my fave out of all her eyeshadows! Gives such a subtle, pretty everyday look despite the fact that the palette itself doesn't look very interesting xx
I loooved code elegance . I like they smooth over my eyes and don t make them look wrinky at all. Over primer they resist all day. But they are very creamy not dusty at all. The brown maybe but i actually like the way it helps me dampen the outer edge in two moves . I can blend them even with the sponge in a pinch. I loved it so much that i bougut blurry green next. And while i admid blurry green is even creamier to touch and on the eye the performance of thhe look ia similar,

I’ve had a good few over the years but I still hanker after my perfect Neutral go to which was called Prelude. Also loved a similar replacement, a five pan called ‘Charming’. Maybe I should check out your number three palette, really love your makeup look in this video!
We have very similar taste! One that I absolutely love that wasn't on your list though (probably because of the blue) is Road Movie. Also, I still have my very first quad from Chanel that I bought in 2007. Name escapes me right now but I hit pan on all of the shades. I'll never throw it away. It's special. I won't wear it, just keep it. LOL Thanks for this video. It had to be difficult to do it.
What an amazing collection! As you may know, I really love Clair Obscur. I am almost there done with my second one. I was considering the Blurry Grey as an alternative because of the shimmery shade. I think it would be a good choice in the Fall.

Thanks so much for doing this video! I only have a handful of Chanel palettes, and this was a nice reminder of which ones I want to check out. My biggest problem with a lot of the quads is that 2 of the shades always look so similar in the palette so I tend to just put them in the mental "no" pile. However your swatches really help bring out the different nuances between the similar looking shades. I don't feel like I need to get them all, but there are definitely a few in your top 10 that I'll be putting some real consideration in.
I was surprised, but the again not, that you picked 314. That was my first Chanel palette. My second was 308 and I was going to get your #1 pick but decided not to. 314 is very similar to Tom Fords D'Hiver. I like 308 but I find it drying on my eyelids. Thanks!
Well, now I just want five. :P I actually bought the Noire Supreme palette after your video on that release. I would love a dedicated video with that palette (or a few palettes like that), with how to utilize the deep rich colours alone, and different ways to supplement with other palettes and toppers. :)

Great video Michele ❤️ I picked up 2 of the Les indispensable palettes and 2 of the Lumiere Naturelle palettes. They are my all time favourite Chanel eyeshadow palettes. I also love Clair obscure and I feel like I should get a back up as Chanel is known to discontinue products with no warning. They’ve just replaced all their natural hair brushes with synthetic ones. I don’t have the Modern glamour palette but now I’m thinking I should get it.

I got the modern glam as my first quad - it is soooo pretty. I want to get the elemental next. I'm super pasty so I think it'll work nicely for me.

Well, now I just want five. :P I actually bought the Noire Supreme palette after your video on that release. I would love a dedicated video with that palette (or a few palettes like that), with how to utilize the deep rich colours alone, and different ways to supplement with other palettes and toppers. :)
I’ve been watching yr latest Tom Ford vids and went onto this, there is something about the way you relate to makeup that speaks to me Michelle, the way you think through makeup is intelligent but instinctive. Ppl think makeup is fluffy and insignificant but not to us it’s not 😎 and you are pretty much the only youtubers who understands that.

Great video Michele ❤️ I picked up 2 of the Les indispensable palettes and 2 of the Lumiere Naturelle palettes. They are my all time favourite Chanel eyeshadow palettes. I also love Clair obscure and I feel like I should get a back up as Chanel is known to discontinue products with no warning. They’ve just replaced all their natural hair brushes with synthetic ones. I don’t have the Modern glamour palette but now I’m thinking I should get it.
