Interesting fact, Charlotte Tilbury used to formulate products for the major brands before launching her own company. She formulated for Chanel, Tom Ford, and many others. Could be that those two brands eyeshadows are comparable to Charlotte's because she, in fact, help formulate them.
Of the two palettes available, I prefer the Intense one. I'm just well and truly done with pinky eyeshadows. Yikes, the Chantecaille quartet is jaw dropping expensive 😱. I do wonder where they got this figure from, are some of the ingredients super rare? It's too warm to think! I'm sat outside , it's approx 86 to 90°f and I'm unable to think 🤯😱. This is hot for the UK 🇬🇧. 💗💗💗💗

Excellent review, Tara! You look great with both palettes, but it’s nice to see you with the Intense palette just for the fact that it’s something different. I’ve used the Chanel eyeshadow quads for years with good results. This is the first time I’ve purchased the Les Beiges palettes. Like the Charlotte Tilbury quads, it’s an easy eye look. However, I just heard that Pat McGrath is introducing a new Mothership palette!😉

I love Chanel eyeshadows because they are so forgiving on mature eyes. It’s rare for Chanel eyeshadows to not look good on the eyes, they’re always beautiful on and have great staying power. I love these 2 palettes but don’t have them.....yet.
I love pinks and I am one that doesn’t like strong shimmer so this would be for me. I regret not picking up the CT Fire Rose palette when it was available and it looks very similar in your swatches, so thank you for that. So helpful! 🌸 Side note: I wish luxury brands wouldn’t include brushes. I doubt anyone uses them, it’s kind of wasteful and only makes the palette larger. I’d rather it be smaller or that they include another shade or two. Just my .02 😬

I’ve tried several of Chantecaille’s face products and lip veils and tints. The only item I would recommend is the Just Skin Tinted Moisturizer. I have mature, dry skin and it wears naturally and lasts all day on me. I’m on my second tube and will continue to purchase it.
I do think that olive green shade looks gorgeous with your blue/green eyes!! I know the bronzer isn’t the video topic, but do you have any cream bronzer tips? It seems like cream bronzer looks amazing on everyone, especially you and Mel! Why can’t I get any cream product to work for me? It always looks splotchy or unblended on me. I just can’t get it right, no matter what application method or tool I try!
The only products I have is a blush, powder foundation and the new bronzer! I love those but I’m not really drawn to the eye shadow palettes. I do want to try their liquid foundation

Overall Chantecaille is so overpriced it's ridiculous as it's not all that. UA-camrs all talk about it because they get it for free and say how "fabulous" it is. I absolutely hate that. The same is done with the perfume & lipstick from House of Sillage. The prices are ridiculous and again if it wasn't for them getting it for free they probably would never buy it. And sooooo many of them get it in PR and every perfume is "beautiful". It's just crazy. And I'm speaking from someone who buys a lot of luxury.
I don't agree with you Sharon. The YT'rs I watch most certainly do purchase from these luxury brands, both cosmetics and fragrances alike. Also, I credit them with integrity. The YT'rs job isn't to "love" the product, it is to review it. Relaying to their viewers things such as : texture, pigment, wearability, ease of use, comparisons, performance etc. In the case of fragrance : informing of the notes, wear down, user experience etc. All of these are super important to our decision making. Of course they will be sent products they may not have bought - who can buy everything? If they gushed about products that actually underperformed, I honestly don't think they would have any subscribers! As for Chantecaille, I agree, some of their products are stupidly overpriced. But included in that price is the charitable donation WE pay for and Chantecaille gives it to whichever wildlife charity they choose. It's not a donation being taken from their profits, (although I'm sure Chantecaille will claim it back in tax reductions). Lastly, receiving PR is not the same as being sponsored. Brands much prefer sending PR as it is a very cost effective method of advertising. Compared to all the cost incurred when creating a multi media advert the sending of PR is incredibly cheap and it reaches a targeted audience. The YT'r is not paid for reviewing anything received in PR.

Something is only worth what a person or persons are willing to pay for it. So, if we, the consumer, decided to refuse to pay $x for a product, therefore, reducing the overall demand, the unit price would have to be reduced also. It's the law of economics - supply and demand : one determines the other.

I know of several European you-tubers who use and look wonderful in McGrath, Denona, YSL, etc. I think that it is difficult to make blanket statements.
Raluca your totally right it’s the same way in Paris they don’t do the Natasha Denona or Pat McGrath shimmer. They load up on mascara throw on a red lip and call it a day. Perhaps maybe some eyeliner smudged. Not everyone wants bam pigmentation and that’s ok 💕
I have the intense and I wouldnt repurchase. It is different for my collection so I am ok with having it. And I agree the les biege formula is close to the Charlotte formula adding to why Im not thrilled with the intense. I just dont get along with the CT shadows. I love the regular quad formula since they are a little stiffer...great for my oily, aged eyes.
I did try Chanel. I was drawn to that Chanel experience. I tried their tinted moisturizer. I liked the formula, but the signature Chanel scent was too overwhelming. I wish they would eliminate scent from their products. It isn’t necessary. They give me migraines.
