@@toebangah7705Throw enough money at any car and it can break records. That said I was at the IOM TT when Mark Higgins drove that car and it was very impressive, though still off the pace of the 600cc bikes.
Took 2 of ours to track a couple of weeks back,not a problem,both used as dailys.

I've been racing for a while. After you come off the track, you should never park the car by applying the handbrake. Your brakes are scorching hot and you can weld the handbrake to the hubs if they are hot enough. Doesn't appear that happened to you since it happened mid lap, but just a side note.

@@_Zekken if its a well run track day they will tell you that in the briefing, but other advice is leave the car in gear when you do stop. On one track day I went to in the UK ages ago, a guy in a Lotus Elise didn't and unfortunately hadn't realised the parking area was on a gentle slope... until the Elise rolled into the front of a Ferrari Testarossa...
@@greybeard27 Even then you should treat it like a trailer, always use wheel chocks.
That's good advice in general. Leaving it in gear is usually enough. It's a hard habit to break, though. On my last car, it took too many cold winter days with a frozen handbrake before I remembered to leave the brake off when parking.
Hot pads even not touching rotors can cause warping from uneven cooling - so hand brake off, and every few minutes push car a foot or two forward or backward to a new resting position around rotor

I actually really love how Moog probably bought the BRZ for a joke expecting to do like 3 episodes, laugh at it a bit, and sell it.
But I can see how fond hes genuinely grown of that car. Its so cool to see, especially when that car is laughed at so much by everyone.
I don't think either of them get cars for this show without prior study. And everyone and their mother knows that once you skim off the UA-cam bullshit and the pretense bullshit, underneath, there's a very competent car, built as a platform, but never expanded. Modders can confirm or deny, but to my eyes, the BRZ was built exactly, for the niche that it fit in. Kids who want to make more out of that car.
It's easy to work on, there's plenty of space, it's friendly, there's basically no hurdles between you and modding this car other than time and money.

I don't think the BRZ is really laughed at, maybe the new Supra is. The BRZ is a great platform. The only thing you can criticize it for is being underpowered really but they left lots of room in the engine bay for engine swaps and turbos so it's really a great platform.
People always scoff at and disrespect underpowered cars and they're drivers. Ultimately it's the driver and not the car. If you like your car and are have fun driving it...that's all there is to it.

I can't tell how many times my car started making a weird noise after having some fun with it, and the next day after cooling down the noise was just gone. Awesome!
Idk mate I have a shit box honda civic and it doesn't seem to die. And I drive the piss out of it daily.
same. thought my turbo was going out but it was the ac clutch and was like why does the ac have a clutch but then it fixed its self so then I stopped caring.
@@trillcollins7847 Had a clutch go on a water pump or something last time i was on a road trip but they said it basically welded itself together which is why we were able to drive without a problem.
Yeah, but those sounds could also be indicators that something is getting out of spec. Heat and expansion does a lot, but in general, any noise, even after thrashing, is a good indicator that there's a component on its way out. I'd probably look to figure out what it is. From a fun and safety perspective, you know, so you don't figure it was an important component at the last moment.

You really think these two entities are somehow anything alike? MCM who are long established, have steadily built their brand with quality advice, vs. some guy that only does stuff about iPods, and somehow only doing that content, has gotten to 100K in less than a year?
