@3406e negative boss man lol I quit trucking a few years ago. Might do something else with the channel but it'd be video games or something if I pick up UA-cam again
@@0007Robert i figured you quit or something hopefully the market can rocket off again. did you sell it? if you did whoever who got it picked up a nice rig. But anyways stay safe and have blessed day
Love the sound of a kacklin kitty, the jake makes it perfect. I truly miss it ,been retired 5 years after 49 years of pounding the big road.stay safe out there drivers……..sandman
Randy Frink that's what they say lol so that's what I did. Found my dream truck and now loving my job even more, sure the 5-6 MPG's I get aren't the best, but who cares lol
Good morning Robert top of the Saturday morning to you. Hey one of these days you're going to have to make a video tell us all about the truck and what you do with the old girl. Have a fantastic day sir.
Raymond Bradley to you as well good sir, and oh I will. She's filthy right now, once she gets a good bath and shined up again I'll do it lol I don't want Life is Good or MakeCents seeing the truck this dirty lol they'd never let me live it down
Ey man good for you! I'm 25 and really wanting my own truck, cept I'm into the triaxle side of trucks. I drive a 04 t800 with c15 6nz.. great truck man. Yours looks pretty, bossman has 2000 w900 with 650 horses and she runs pretty good!
norfolkdash9 I appreciate it man! And mine isn't set factory 600/2050 anymore lol I'm somewhere around 800 hp currently, will be pushing nearly 1100 later this year though. And go for it, save up and get yourself a good used one
Asking questions is never a reason to get roasted. It's my Pyrometer, basically helps me track of my exhaust gas temperature while I'm driving as you don't want it to get too hot or you can cause big problems
ehhjeep it's my Pyrometer, also known as Pyro. Let's me know how hot my EGT's are, just add 300° to whatever the dash says and that's the turbo temp, I never let mine get above 900 on the dash, or 1200 on the turbo. That's just me personally though, different engines have different sweet spots
ehhjeep I gotcha, yeah I love the digital one lol my fuel pressure and outside air temperature gauge are also digital, pretty great having them honestly as digital.
This is exit 24 on I-40 west bound in North Carolina, getting ready to drop off in the gorge towards Tennessee lol I was just in there last week. I drive a dump truck and we paved that road last year and paved 209 into hot springs last week
Yeah, it was built 07/12/99 so it's exempt but the company I'm leased onto requires me run it anyways so I do. It doesn't bother me any at all running an ELD
They are a bunch here in ky that gets 65 k for that motor they are getting a little hard to find me and my brother has one more down now because driver didn't know when to back out and good video
@@jeremygrubb9665 that's not surprising, I think they were only put into trucks in 99 since these engines later turned into the C-16's. And they like high RPM's but gotta learn how to drive them compared to the newer ones lol can't lug them down and thank you
@@0007Robert that is so true a lot of drivers holler cat does better at low rpm but they don't well it depends on what file is in but if you don't keep that boost pressure up your farting in the wind and it's hitting you in the face lol thanks for writing back and be careful out there
If I let my Cat go under 1500 then it starts to heat up. 1600-1700 is where I'm typically at while pulling but I will go 1400 or 1500 on flat ground or downhill only lol and thank you, you do the same
I got the idea for the phone mount from MakeCents, aka Sammy. Can't forget to credit him!
are you ever coming back man, I'm watching over the same video a 1000 times lol.

CATs have the nicest Jake's out there, hands down the winner all the time
I love them 8 inch straight pipes!
Sweet love the old school sound, miss it.
Ferd Farkle I appreciate it and oh I agree, in fact I don't know of many people who don't enjoy a straight piped older engine.

Cool-glad to see another “real” truck on UA-cam. Can’t deal with the Prius’!
Randy Frink lol can't be talking about the Prius like that, just to some people saving fuel is better then drawing attention
007Robert, you were 6 when this truck came out!
As they say: if you love what you do you’ll never work a day in your life-might be a little easier in a KW or Pbilt

Have you ever been through ringgold Georgia? It’s the first town/ city you go through on i -75 south coming out of Tennessee
Not as much as I used too, I mainly run out Midwest nowadays
Howdy brother.. you know what size the factory turbo is on those 1mms and c16s ??
So I may get roasted but what is the red digital number on the instrument cluster?
Asking questions is never a reason to get roasted. It's my Pyrometer, basically helps me track of my exhaust gas temperature while I'm driving as you don't want it to get too hot or you can cause big problems
Good video driver
Kenworth w900L I appreciate it there driver, maybe whenever she gets a bath in a few hours I'll show everyone the outside lol
007Robert 10-4 Good buddy
Cat Jakes are not as strong as a Cummins or Detroit but damm i love the way Cat 4306E sounds
What is the LED gage top center dash for?

Thanks. I drove W9s back in my day and loved them all the way. I never had a digital gage back then. Roll safe, make the green.
ehhjeep I gotcha, yeah I love the digital one lol my fuel pressure and outside air temperature gauge are also digital, pretty great having them honestly as digital.
Where was this?
I was heading towards Tennessee from SC, wanna say somewhere either in the Northwest of NC, where I'm not sure. I do know the Pilot has a Subway lol

Hey bud I have a 1998 KW W900 and cannot find my Jake brake do you have any idea if it does even come with it
That being a 1mm it is worth a lot of money them are a good motor did that meet the elog exempt
