Robert where was trying to get to and this is a bit convoluted because I'm a bit convoluted is that there were a lot of young men out there and women that could probably benefit from your input of verbage about what you do. I love what you do, that was my dream job when I was a kid was to have a long nose Peterbilt im under my own authority. Life sometimes deal you different circumstances. Mr Ghorley is living my dream that's what I wanted to do would be an independent owner-operator. I'm 54 years old now and I will probably never do this. It breaks my heart because that was my dream job, life steers you in another Direction sometimes. I encourage you to share your experience with others that they may better themselves. And if one day I get me a large car I'll hook you up with a cup of coffee and a breakfast. Keep the big girl between the ditches my brother.
Raymond Bradley I get where you're coming from. Maybe one day I'll make a video like that, but I can't really talk much and be heard good while driving and I've been pretty busy lately with running all over haha it'll happen sometime soon though I think
ehhjeep I was actually bound for Washington lol just decided tcut through this way instead of Oregon. Luckily I spoke to Tim and he reminded me about Oregon's expensive fuel tax lol
PITBULL TRUCKER I will once it's clean. I haven't had time to get it professionally sanded and polished out otherwise I'd have done it already, I haven't been able to polish it in a few weeks. She's too dirty unless it's a night shot or something lol that might happen
Can't show the truck until she's clean, I been down the last few weeks due to reasons. I'll get her cleaned up and probably do a Livefeed sometime soon
Robert I'm going to bust your balls on this one, you got to add some idiotic ramblings to your videos. I know you could share a lot of good information with younger drivers are trying to get into this deal. You got a nice large Carl I like it, but share what you do with it brother. If you can help one other person on this planet get into Trucking then it would all be worth it. There's a lot of youngsters out there brother that are flounder not know what their next step is. Share your do's and don'ts with what's making you successful you never know you might help somebody. That's all we got these days. Drive safe brother.
Raymond Bradley I'm not much of a rambler lol I'll have to leave that for Tim. There's really not a secret to how I did, I'd wanted to do it since I was 3, graduated high school in 2012 and just put it off until I finally got my license in September of 2016 and just never looked back lol stayed with my starting company 9 months, went to a more regional company for 7 months then I found this truck and decided to buy it and become an O/O lol
600hp and 2250 pound feet of torque from a 3406e stock thats a lie and you know it. Look at the cat torque and hp charts for christ sakes the highest stock 3406e has 550hp and 1850 lbft i cant post files in comments but i have proof just look up CAT TORQUE CHART.
Plus ive read what rpms you run and thats not how to drive a cat they dont like high rpms heck the torque stops at 1250 rpm there no reason to go over 1500 other than sound. Not trying to be a ass but thats BS and yes ive never driven a truck on the road but the charts straight from CAT dont lie and people complain they get bad mpgs from cats well thats why i bet your not getting 7 mpg and loaded to 90k ( thats with a c15 18 speed unknown rears 550 hp torque unknown guessing around 1850) pulled hills fine and shift at 1500 rpm or lower never had problems pulling and always stayed under 1500 rpm CATS LOVE LOW RPM its plain and simple. I road with my dad for 5 years and wana do sorta like you did from what ive read. Finally just got back in a truck with him this time a w900 with a 1.4 million mile cat and a 13 speed 3.65 rears
Don't comment on my video being an ignorant troll. 600/2250 is what my 3406E is rated at factory. The 550/1850 was for the small 14.6 liter 3406E. I have the bigger 15.8 liter 3406E. My engine serial number is 1MM00924. Feel free to look it up and see how wrong you are.
@@trucker1864 also just noticed your second comment. Don't tell me how to drive my truck lol I've only driven it a year so what do I know. My Cat, I said MY Cat pulls best 1600-1800 but I didn't say every Cat did. I don't go below 1500 because my Pyro skyrockets and it doesn't pull worth a shit. Idc what a C-15 or C-16 does because I have a 3406E. Like I said before, look up my engine serial number yourself. You can't go by charts, go by how the truck drives. 1MM00924. Please comment back again after you've looked it up and tell me about how I'm lying about factory 600 hp when it says so on my engine plate sticker lol I'm all for you following your dream and buying a truck of your own, that's great. But can't go by charts dude, have to drive the truck and figure it out. 3406E 15.8 liter 1MM00924 is my full engine.
@@trucker1864 A C-15 is not the same as a 3406E. Granted a C-15 might be the newer version of a 3406E but still not the same. Cat motors made after 2006 ( I think) had twin turbo's. A Cat motor made in late 1999 or early 2000 only had one. Also the older engines worked best at different rpm's than the newer one. Motors made in the last 10 or 12 years do better a lower rpm's. BUT when you are pulling a 6 or 7% grade the newer motors will pull better at 1500 rpm. 14 years otr
I just love the sound of that J brake
Haven't driven something on that level yet, but even my 94 International with the N14 Cummins feels like Thor's hammer
W900L - THE KING OF THE HIGHWAYS
