Thanks for your video, but my issue or fault code is 411 fmi 1 I have DD15 cascadia. I have done so many things to it and it still no getting repaired I still have that check engin on (EGR Differential Pressure Failed (High Box) do you have a vid about this issue or any idea?
There are a few things to check for this code.
Check the Venturi pipe for any blockage in the ports.
Check the EGR cooler, check the EGR valve for any binding. Also check the CAC.
When you do a regen, what are the pressures in the DOC and DPF?
Spot on explication. Except dd says swap the venturie tube as well. Sorry about my spelling if incorrect. Also ahh the simplicity of the non multiplexed system. So you'll agree the tube should have most likely been swapped also? They have a non stick coating in them. So more then likely if the sensor is bad so is the tube. I watch some broadcasters try cleaning them. Lol. Obviously you have experience in the after treatment. In any classes I've gone to for upstream and down stream management on after treatment the inlet and outlet cannot be more then 100 degrees apart.

This isn’t an easy fault code but go step by step. You will need the software to help.

Sounds like a voltage supply issue. Check the pins at the plug. Check for corrosion or damaged pins. If not , possible harness issue. What was the code before?
Also, you may need to calibrate using the software
DEF deleted, have engine2 SPN 411 FMI 1. with 25 percent derate.

I replaced both Venturi pipe and Delta P sensor and the mechanic who do the delete recalibrated and still have the same code and power loss.

I HV a 2009 14 litre Detroit and I'm getting a fault code for the delta pressure sensor but my truck don't HV the sensor..I HV the year Detroit where it came from factory with a holset turbo

I have a 09 cascadia w dd15 engine and when the outside temp is below 32 degrees my truck does some weird stuff. On initial takeoff on lower gears as I accelerate and I reach 1k rpms it will stall unless I press the throttle fully and pass 1200 rpms. As its stalling I will get white heavy smoke that will linger around the ground and takes a while to dissipate( I can see it thru my mirrors). Another thing it does is when on the highway if I use the cruise control after a while I will get these codes
Eng sa00 spn002791 egr valv cntrl 07
Eng no resp128s 146 07
They dont pop up if I dont use cruise but the stalling still happens even with no codes when its cold.
I have a deleted dpf. Any ideas would really help thanks like I said codes go away when temp is above freezing and no low gear stalling either.
The fault code for the EGR control could be an issue with the EGR valve or the EGR actuator. Could be a short or could be a bad EGR actuator. Just because the DPF has been deleted does not meant the EGR is not functioning. When you cyce the key you may notice the EGR actuator will still cycle.
@@CarlosDieselElectric thanks for replying. Is there a way I can check if its either the valve or the actuator? Or should I replace both? And is that what causes the stalling and smoke because I dont get any codes when it does that
Carlos take for instance the Delta pressure sensor for the 14L 60 Series will it have to get recalibrated and what else should I replace along with replacing the Delta pressure sensor?
On a Series 60 14L, some of the Delta P Sensors were eliminated. So they may be there but not connected. What is wrong with your Delta P?
@@CarlosDieselElectric Freightliner ran a diagnostic it came back high EGR temp during idle and also said those two metal ubes leading up to it are clogged.
I went and bought the sensor and Will call the tubes. I'll do it myself. I just need that DDDL software like your have to do my own recalibrations/diagnostics. Thanks for your help

sandy bil most (except newer trucks) need to be updated because Freightliner and Detroit are always making software updates. This is usually a dealer only option and must be done there.

I have a 2010 cascadia that has a few fault codes. ENG SA00 SPN002791 EGR VALV CNTRL 14, ENG SA00 SPN001037 00, ENG RSRVC 128s146 14. Any idea what's going on with this truck? Experiencing power loss even when empty. DPF has been deleted also. Thanks in advance for your help. I subscribed to your channel; need to learn about this engine as much as possible..
CROWN ROYAL the DPF delete changes things. I think once the DPF has been deleted the EGR should also be deleted (programming). You may have to double check that. But the codes sounds like you may have to just calibrate the EGR actuator. What year is the truck?
CROWN ROYAL also, check your harness for any contamination like oil, water or coolant. Let me look up the codes and see how I can help.
@@CarlosDieselElectric Thanks for the help and sorry for the late response.. But a couple of drivers have recommended that I change out the engine harness first. I don't know to what extent exactly, but mine does have oil in it from the injector harness plugs. Plus, I had the EGR actuator changed about 9 months ago. It was working pretty good for a few months, then it was only working intermittently. Now it doesn't work at all, but there's voltage to the actuator, per the Detroit test procedures. Never went past that step tho. As far as the 1037 code, I think that has to do with the delete. Why does it even monitor the filter when it's supposed to be deleted? Really need someone who knows what they're doing to deal with this ECM.
CROWN ROYAL I recommend to change the injector harness (front and rear). This will prevent any future oil contamination from the injector harness into the main MCM (engine) harness and of course changing the main MCM (engine) harness. Takes about 1 days worth or work. Nothing too technical, just labor.
I have seen many fault codes due to oil contamination. This is definitely a good place to start.
@@CarlosDieselElectric yeah, I'll change out the front injector harness, ended up replacing the rear harness about a month ago. I disconnected the plugs to check for oil, and when I went to connect it back, I accidentally bent the little metal tabs inside. Truck was running horrible lol, and had injector codes. Tried to straighten them back out and broke em off. I should've just changed both out while I was in there already.. But once again, I appreciate your help. Gonna take a few days off and see if I can get that changed along with the main harness..
Hello Carlos, my truck keeps stalling out with a load or bobtail. I noticed this after i ran out of fuel and road side came out brought me fuel. The stall happens when i press the accelerator pedal and I only get codes for delta pressure sensor. And I see J1939 but I have no idea what that means.
I was getting the same codes I changes the sensor and the pig tail and I did the calibration but I keeps coming back and will also show out of calibration again.
My egr was cleaned in a ultra sonic chemical bath and a flush was done on the engine. EGR actuator was replaced. The venturi pipe was not clogged. I changed my injector harness, cam housing seal, oil cooler & gasket, Vpod, delta P sensor, exhaust sensor.
Any advise please help 🙏🏽
What fault code or codes are you getting? J1939 is the communication ( data link), not a fault fault code. When you have someone connect to the truck, what does it read?

@@marknorth6349 oil will make its way through one harness and into the other. I almost always try to replace both injector harness and the main engine harness.

I changed actuator and is not passing self calibration.
Just Pre installation is ok.
Wires to Ecm are ok. Turbo gear is ok.

sandy bil so if the turbo actuator is New and it passes the initial part but when you install it onto the turbo and this is where it fails then most likely the turbo is the issue. The gear may appear to travel freely but once the actual gear may have resistance and this is why it fails.

sandy bil after the initial actuator calibration, the gear on the turbo has to be aligned prior to putting the actuator on. Best I can do is have you google fault code 641 fmi 14 and find the correct link. Sounds like you are on the right track
Were is the delta p sensor located 12.7 Detroit 60s
Dexter Williams the 12.7 does not have a Delta P sensor. The 14L that was released around 2003-2007 does have one. If I am not mistaken it is on the passenger side.

@@rometrucking4520 J-Pro is good but if you va e a derate you may need Davie4 software in in order to go in and disable the derate. Is it a EGR derate or fuel derate?

Mines is show Spn 411 fmi 1 what should I do it runs perfectly
TroyP20 could remove it, clean it out with shop air and then reinstall it.
Sometimes fault codes come up. But try that first.
@@CarlosDieselElectricI got the same code when I got my 2014 freightliner out the shop. My issue was egr cooler. They clean everything. Also they change out the delta p sensor too. But the code pop up after driving 8 miles. What your thought. Thank you

How to tell if the sensor it's self bad?
First start by checking for excessive soot in the Venturi Pipe, check the ports where the sensor sits. It needs to be clear, try sticking something through

Fault code 2 means there are 2 fault codes, need more information. Use the buttons on the dash in order to find out which SPN or fault code is coming up.

Yes, I was running the old version DDDL 7 which for the most part works great and didn’t require a subscription. Now in order for me to work on (I believe it is ) 2014 or higher I needed to have the DDDL 8, gives me more features when doing Diagnostic work but does require a subscription.
