PEDRO very cool videos bro Please as soon as you can make a video changing the def filters glans & all that kind the stuff BLESSING you good on your profession
Detroit Diesel in Rockford IL replaced my DEF pump about 7 weeks ago. Got about another 10k miles on it since and now has total engine shutdown on I-40 in Arkansas. Pulled off, checked codes and got the exact code you titled the video. Anyway was able to start the truck and drive another ten miles to a safer spot. No derate at all, but continuous beeping and dashboard reads “shutdown in process” the whole time… any thoughts?
Mr Fuentes your videos are in a class all by its self very informative im grateful to have found your channel . that said what causes a up n down slight surging at idle on a dd15 freightliner cascadia ive been told by some shops it could be this could be that . i have no codes just a slight surging up down up down it drives you nuts. if you can reply i would really appreciate your help
Thank you for replying, I'm going to have the control valve checked , is this a serviceable part or replace only ? It doesn't throw a code for it , the only code I've gotten recently was spn 1077 fmi 14 it come on and then goes out won't come back for months then it does and goes away so I don't think its anything serious. Again thank you sir for your info . 👍
@@porttrucker I recommend to find a shop with asome DD15 experience. The control valve is $650-700, it is located on the backside of the hi pressure fuel pump. Let me check out the other code and see what it says.

Love your videos thanks Quick about the one box how common do you see it replaced at 700,000 miles I have over 900,000 on mine to be honest had very little problems out of it replaced doser valve, both nox sensor, def injector pump, cleaned the filters. Actually getting ready to clean shortly again. Just curious if I should start looking for new box or wait for sings of failure.?
It should only be an area of concern if NOx efficiency fault codes become more frequent. But it sounds like your truck is running great. I say you are doing things right. Glad to hear you are at 900,000 miles.
The SCR conversion rate of my car started at 80%, then gradually decreased, and finally the conversion efficiency was low and stopped smoking. What is the reason, brother
@@Bill-j2g during a regen for GHG14 DOC inlet 700-800 DOC outlet 900-1050 average DPF outlet 900-1050 average. The DPF will usually mirror the DOC outlet.
Love the information thank you. If u dont mind I have a question. My Mil light is on and I am trying to diagnose it. I have cleaned dpf filters and replaced both nox sensors in the recent past. Do you think that NOX efficiency should perform above 90% if we know that in Regen process Fuel Doser Injector pouring diesel straight in to DEF filters. Thanks.
What is the normal range for the dpf outlet pressure to run at and when should it be a concern. Mine is running at 1.7 psi and the doc inlet pressure is around 1.1 psi. Thanks
The sensor could be faulty, this can cause the temp sensor to read higher than it should. My approach is "LOW HANGING FRUIT". I like to typically start with the smaller or less expensive options first. If that does not work, then I proceed with removal and cleaning of the DPF filters. This is the one option I like to try after I have tried sensors. Typically cleaning filters, parts, labor and testing will cost around $1100 or more. So you can see this is why I like to save this for later. If the sensor is original and has never been changed then a sensor is the quickest option and cheapest.
If you are working on Detroit engines, then go with the original program. Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link. It works on Series 60 12.7L, 14L, MBE, DD engines, emissions and also the DT12 transmissions. In my opinion, that would be the best option.
I don’t do road service. I like to do all my work at my shop because I have access to all my equipment once I need to start checking things or taking things apart

Typically the Inlet will have a higher number for example 350 ppm and your outlet will have a lower number like 40 ppm. The further the numbers the higher the NOx efficiency will be.
Thanks!
