I just replaced my battery (original from September 2017!!) which was not holding charge, and was bulging, although not as bad as yours.
While I had it open, I upgraded hard drive to 512GB SSD and RAM to 16Gb DDR4 at same time.
I also cleaned the fans haha.
Still this laptop is used for playing some games such as Skyrim, Fallout 4, etc, and I don't need to replace it just yet.

To find the model number, read the stickers on the bottom of the laptop. Google "[model number] Battery" to find the right battery for your laptop
Does the laptop work with a damaged battery?
You should not use the laptop with a damaged battery, it may explode or leak

Most likely TE04XL -- that is the one I just purchased for my OMEN 15t-ax200 (same as shown in this video)
@@spritzertog why did you change your battery?, I think we are all facing the same problem.
@@zsaemp3996 I changed the battery on mine because it was completely swollen. (literally pushing the case top case open.) That said - it didn't fix the power-on issue. I'm hearing about a lot of HP gaming machines that are dying after a couple years.

I did the replacement of the battery but it won't work, do I have to leave it charging a certain amount of hours before tuning it on or is my new battery the problem?

Not yet. Its really annoying. Nothing to do. Its just a battery replacement... dont understand
Got around to opening my laptop. Pulled the motherboard off, took out the CMOS battery (looks like a giant watch battery, circle in shape) for 30 seconds. The battery is facing the keyboard side of motherboard. Put CMOS battery in hooked everything back up and it turned on. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need help with it. You do need to remove ribbon cables and other types of cables to get to it.
what is the problem of your laptop?why did u replace it?
The battery was swollen and expanding, which is very very dangerous, as it could leak, explode or catch fire. I replaced it with a new one, and disposed of the old one safely.

How to find hp battery model number ?
Search for your laptop model number + "battery"
I put two 8Gb rams in and a new battery, the battery light says its charged but the computer doesn't come on
Take out the RAM and see if it turns on - better to figure out which part is the problem first

Hey I, realised that I put the ram in while I had the battery plugged in, do you think that could cause the ram not to function as I think I should have plugged the battery wire in after
@@harunhfj3299 It depends whether the computer was on, or just plugged in. It should be fine, unless actually on
@@hummusbird one last question, if I have the battery disconnected and then plug the ac adapter charger in, should it be able to boot up. basically should every laptop be able to run with just the charger in and no battery
