When Dean lost his handsome son I’ve always believed it was that tragedy that put him in the grave. Much eternal love to him. He made us laugh. That’s the gift of love that even for one second allows us to forget and soothes the soul.

@@xabisompushe9100 That’s what they’re talking about at the beginning. Norm identifies “Hamburger Hamlet” as the location where Bob met Dean Martin before Bob does.
So Bob says “you must have heard this before” and ribs him a little about knowing all his stories. Norm tries to recover by saying that Dean would always be there.
Then when Norm says “I found your son” that look on Bob Saget’s face is not him becoming sanctimonious over the insensitive joke (can you imagine the hypocrisy?).
That’s Bob being irritated that Norm steals his punchline, since Norm should be a better host than that.

You posted this two weeks ago, but I am watching this now. He said Dean “lost” his son (meaning he died), Norm’s joke is he found his son. The joke is on the literal lost. Norm was different, I always enjoyed his work.
