Hi Dan. I love my Fender FR10. This past week has been a revelation, I have owned old Marshalls and a Fender Twin and a number of Peaveys including a 5150. This Tonex modeler and FR10 is just Godlike. I cant wait to play my amp every evening now. My signal was dry so I added a TC Electronics Hall of Fame reverb 2. I am in heaven.

My Brother...I am so glad to hear of your "Tonal Revelation"...as it surely leads down a path filled with both "Excitement & Magical Melodies"...and I sure do understand this;)
Please keep me updated...and My prayers to you, your family and friends...Sincerely I am...Dan;)

I sold my Benson Monarch and got a Fractal FM3 modeler which is insanely good but comes with a learning curve. I use a Laney frfr which is great, but my next move is a fender fr12 to make it a stereo rig. Infinite digital bliss after 6 months to digest and tweak. Happy to have found your channel!

It sounds like you "sonically covered" with your Fractal modeler. I'll be interested to know your thoughts when you get the FR12...please keep me updated...as I bet it will be a great sounding combination.

I traded my tube amp for a tone Master it's great for me. The Joyo pedal is a amp in a box. If you run a high gain pedal into it it will take the fizz out and give you a studio sound

Thank you for the "Joyo" tip Brother Charles...I will try that soon;) My prayers to you, your family and friends...Sincerely I am...Dan;)

@@musicmandan1717yeah brother that Joyo pedal is an amp/cab simulator. You can run effects in front of that like a real amp. I haven’t used and amp at church for at least a year. I have a fly rig and run all effects into the Joyo, Joyo into a DI box to Front of House very effective for live and/ or recording!🤘🏾

Thank you for this info Brother Taurus;)
I am finding out that whether it's the Joyo or the Boss, I can quickly "dial in" a usable "Live" tonal starting place for a show. I have placed the Joyo "American" on my "Session" board as to use it as another access to "gain" sounds in conjunction with the Boss IR-200...quite a combination;)

Nice pedalboards, I think I'm gonna have to invest in q proper board, I'm using a homemade one using zip ties for the pedals, but it certainly doesn't look that neat. Good stuff!

The "bigger" silver board is a "homemade" board I designed from a diamond plate toolbox lid that was bent on one end and straight on the other;)
The 2 "smaller" boards are from NuX...and the they are the "medium" size. The are extremely sturdy with adjustable rails for width. They come with a very durable carry case and are literally "perfect" for my "Live" performances regarding portability & ease of use...excellent product that can be purchased off Reverb at a very reasonable price point.
      And...they are "2 Tiers";)

@@musicmandan1717cool, I have a board I made from an old shelf, it's bulky, I just might look into that Nu-X board(or something similar) in the not to distant future, something that can fit up to 10 pedals (all smaller sized pedals, no processor sized stuff. Thanks for the info, I appreciate it, God bless you and your family as well 🙏

You've sure got many great (usable) sounds... all I'd even need and want. I've always appreciated old-school guitarist that got by with just the reverb and tremolo in their Fender amps... but lets be honest the tones are limited.

    • @musicmandan1717
      @musicmandan1717  2 місяці тому

Thank you for your kind words regarding the sounds;)
For me...due to the many "styles" of music I perform "Live" and "on the fly"...having the ability to "dial in" a familiar "tone" for the song the "Listener" is familiar with (i.e. a lil' dirt on "Mary Jane's Last Dance" or a crystal clean sound with delay on "Purple Rain" by Prince) sure "helps" the "Musical Moment" as these tones "re-create" sonic emotions to both the listener & me...the performer.
I do try to keep it at a "minimum"...using only "what" I think I "need" at the moment...a pedal or two "On" at any one time...with the "Tonal Foundation" being provided by the amp I am using or the Boss IR-200 "Amp Sim" Preset 001 that I don't change when using the FR-12 cab.
Hearing those "old school" guitarist do "all they did" with minimal effects helps us to appreciate their actual "skill set" in being a guitarist...with just an amp...a cord...and a guitar...a.k.a. Roy Buchanan, Scotty Moore, Grady Martin, etc...,
My prayers to you, your family and friends...and thank you again;)
      Sincerely I am...Dan;)

I found that using an EQ ahead of the Ir 200 was just too much. Anything I've needed to do with the EQ. I would do with the 12 band parametric EQ of the Ir 200.

Thank you for your comment and input Brother DB.
For me...the Boss GE-7 is adding just a "slight boost" of mid frequencies in addition to a small amount of volume...for my "Live" performances.
In the studio...I use it totally different.
My prayers to you, your fmaily and friends...Sincerely I am...Dan;)

@@musicmandan1717 haha now I'm gonna have to try it again. I like that you run everything through your 200. I've been depending on it a lot lately. Your the only other guy I've seen other than myself that is gigging with one.
God bless you and yours as well Dan!

Keep in touch Brother DB...and let me know how your setup is working for you;)
Also...check out GuitarEveryone here on UA-cam...as Brother Darren (his channel) has recently got both the Boss IR200 & a Fender FR-12 cab after watching a few videos here on my channel and "liking" what he heard "sonically";)
Darren has quite a history with using "Amp Sims" with a large variety in his arsenal...and after quite a few discussions together...decided to add the Boss IR200 to his collection...in addition to the FR-12 cab.
He is posting "sonic results" of his Boss IR-200 on his latest videos...and he uses an "audio interface" for his high-quality recordings which "helps" to hear the Boss IR-200 from a direct signal path source.
As my me...I simply use the "on-board mic" of whatever camera I am recording with...which typically "colors" the sound with both compression and eq curving...but provides a "close enough" sonic replication for "what" I am doing;)
My prayers to you, your family and friends...Sincerely I am...Dan;)
