Newbie questions here: Does wrapping ruin the paint underneath? Does wrapping prevent paint chips, especially on the front? Can you wash the wrap with soap and water? What would keep the water from seeping in between the wrap and paint? How long does the wrap last before it needs replacing? Sorry. I didn't know this kind of thing existed.
davidhunternyc it protects the paint underneath, does not harm it. Check out yiannmize’z UA-cam channel. Wraps do prevent paint chips, just like paint protection film, although a wrap is slightly thinner and not as thick as dedicated clear paint protection film. Yes you can wash it with cat wash soap and water and a microfibre wash mitt. Water will not get between the wrap and paint. Wrap will last probably 3-5 years before it may need to be re wrapped on main areas like bonnet and roof that are directly in sun 24/7. Hope this helps mate
