Oh my goodness I didn't know you couldn't use the serum and moisturizer together!! I've been using them together for 2 months and my skin has been awful! I kept pushing through thinking oh its just purging and retnoid uglies.....now im thinking the dryness and all the red bumps is because ive been using them together every night for 2 months!
I feel you and sorry to hear of your ordeal. When I was researching this product I thought it was very irresponsible of the brand to NOT share explicitly that these two products should not be used together. I hope your skin feels better soon Michelle.

Hi Rubina. So i had a query. Is a 15spf moisturiser enough for a person on granactive retinoid who has no sun exposure because working from home or is a 40-50 spf sunscreen necessary?
Iram, if your windows are darkened out from direct sun light you are ok using 15spf.
Excellent video and information....I am an over 50 male who has always cared for my skin. I have used Olay 24Retinol for several months, but I did not get any results that I can tell. From your video Olay 24 will not be as effective for me which explains my experience. Is there a retinol more effective for my aging skin?
So finally got the moistuiser and the update : ingredient list is different for indian market... Retinol is pushed way down it's the last but one ingredient and peptide is the last ingredient :)

This confirms that the ingredient listing on the indian version is diff. Someone else also pointed it out and i rechecked my container the retinol was up in the first few ingredients but her container was as you pointed out. Hi, Rubina! I will be using the olay brand as the first time. I have purchased the combo of Olay micro sculpting cream and the retinoid serum. As suggested by you I should be using the cream during the day and the serum at night. Since this will be my first time , I will use the serum at night just once for a few weeks. So my question is - do I need to use sunscreen even after using sculpting cream? Also if I am using the retinod serum once I week, do I need to apply the sunscreen rest of the days too?
if you are going to be out in the sun you def need the sunscreen...
Hello Ma'am, I just bought the mosturiser. I noticed that ingredients like niacinamide, retinol , palmitomyl pentapaptide are last on the ingredients list whereas in the site it is listed towards the beginning. I do think it's wrong but what I want to ask you is will this be any effective at all on this case?
Niacinamide is therapeutic index is 2%-5%
Retinol is also effective at ranges 0.3 - 1%
So these ingredients are likely to be in therapeutic index

@@Suchanasangma123 most probably no. Thus Olay cream has different ingredients list than OLAY IN The US. The US one has retinol n niacinamide towards the top while here it's towards the end, thus being less effective. So this cream can be friend in beginning your retinol journey , but don't expect any miracle results. Minimalist granactive retinoid is a good option, Sandwich it with moisturizer (basic frangrance free and no actives ) to minimise irritation in the beginning .

Yes that would be perfect. the olay serum and scultping moisturiser. DONT forget the sunscreen. Also consider adding Alpha arubutin for pigmentation.

It would come down to choosing between what product you are looking for in your skincare. If you already have a moisturiser then buy the serum. If you are looking to replace your moisturiser then buy the moisturiser. :)

If at 40plus there is pigmentation and dark spots then this retinol is very low percentage for help with that. if skin is good and needs gentle care then this is a good cream.

Hello Cedrick, Hope your skin is feeling better now. For now stop using the product for the next 7 to 8 days. Then start again with very little quantity. If the itching persists then this product may not be suiting your skin.

Hi can anyone help i am in the uk and started using olay max 24, have used a lighter retinol before, also i use alpha arbutin for marks and niancinamde 10 percent, but after using olay for 2 weeks my skin on my face and neck looks like they have tanned, have worn spf outsie. what can do to help my skin get back the colour, have stopped the olay as it was tingling and i had a slight redness in some areas
you skin might be very sensitive to the retinol or there could be a barrier issue. any time there is tingling and redness its your skin telling you that the product is not going to work for. you or that the barrier needs to be restored.
stop for a few weeks and see ifyous skin continues to feel sensitive. heal the barrier adn then try again...
