- Wrenn and Six have Planeswalked to Innistrad. Wrenn Is a strange dryad Planeswalk from an unknown world. She bonds with trees, creating new treefolk in which she shelters. As her current companion, Six, begins to fade - Wrenn is on a journey to find her Seven. In that, Wrenn is running out of time. Lucky for her she runs into the time mage, Teferi. But Is here to help? Or does he need help?

Crazy theory: during the final large scale battle against the phyrexians, wrenn is going to meld with the world tree of Kaldheim. Not serious just a funny/weird thought that came to mind

Huh, I always thought Wrenn was like dismissive of her trees (considering she named them numbers) so it’s interesting that she cares about them

@@Kokonutzlz well I suppose we don’t really care about food but it’s still necessary for us to live. Same for our bodies, so I kinda just guessed it would be like that. If that thing you needed to live just happened to be another living being but you’re still only dispassionately involved with it

I'd like for you to tell the chef of a kitchen that people do not care about or for their food. Not every treats food as simply sustenance.
@@matthewboyd2706 I didn’t say everyone did, but it’s possible, and likely, that people don’t feel empathy for food. I didn’t say /every/ dryad sees their treefolk dispassionately, but that it’s possible.
I always love magical settings where characters seem to have different understandings of how magic works. And its a sweet, short story
Wreen teaching Teferi how use magic I did not see coming. That was a great short story.
At first I thought "Is she seriously teaching a Blue planeswalker counter magic?", but I realizied the fact that it's specificly about one's own spells is a fundamental difference to counter magic. It also makes sense considering that Green can destroy entchantments and Blue can't"

Wrenn is a very interesting character. I find myself wanting to learn more about her.

The first 6 minutes of this video almost reduced me to tears. Very touching story she has!
Her current tree wants to travel, so grafting it to the world tree would make sense, regardless of Phyrexian involvement
So in a way, we set up how Teferi can fix his blunder on Dominaria and bring his homeland out of phase… way to foreshadow Wizards…

Maybe with this new information, Teferi could bring back Zhalfir, and that could be the theme of the new set Dominaria United. BTW loved the story and the dramatic reading, I like the intonation when teferi is talking XD
Well done. This story was so good and Seanan wrote it extremely well. I love how much Wrenn cares about her tree hosts and that part of her character is wonderfully done.

People were jokingly calling MH1 "Commander Horizons" when it was spoiled. I believe Urza got called that too. Boy, did they ever get that one wrong!
I have not yet listened to this one, but I am personally enjoying the lore readings.

I love this story and the implications it provides. Wrenn has introduced to a powerful planeswalker that even the strange magic of time is as natural as anything else. Its confirming magic is part of the natural order of the worlds, and when approaching it things can be fixed when broken.
I doubt it’ll be in any time, but it’s cool to know that Wrenn is a unique take on the planeswalker ideology and this way of thinking is key to fixing a lot of messes others created.
I have been enjoying listening to these stories and hope you can continue.

I have always Loved wrenn (and Six or now Seven lol ) so Much, just from her cool and kinda creepy art. I always wondered what she/it even was. So happy for this lore story so now I know that shes a dryad and actually pretty nice! I love her even more now :)

Well it appears they've gone back to writing better quality stories. It's a good gargle from the bad aftertaste of the lore from the past 2 sets.
It is a duel set. I believe they've listened to us. If we in a whole tell them how much better these are, wizards should make this more common.
To be a bit fair, they have a lot deeper material to work with. Innistrad has such a rich deep lore involving two blocks and a lot of top-down design. There's lot more to work with there. I'm glad they are!

I love Wrenn, her story, this version is one of my favourite creatures/planeswalkers along with Garruk Apex Predator :).
I dont know why, but i absokutely love planeswalkers in general and have way more than the average person does in their commander decks. They work so well with my green and black creatures (mostly elves)... with my other inclusions there is what seems like infinite mana.

the stories of these characters are always interesting. When I go to see if I can find a nice quote, if it's not on a card or a voice line from arena on youtube, is there any other reliable source to find quotes from characters? What about Wrenn? where can I find quotes?
I strongly believe Wrenn has the most potential to be our next big Green Planeswalker.
Garruk’s role in the story moving forward is unclear now that he’s free of the Chain Veil.
Nissa is rebuilding Zendikar.
Kiora’s whole thing is sea monsters.
Calix’s story is tied to Elspeth and Nico Aris.
Huatli is traveling with Saheeli.
Vraska is leading the Golgari Swarm.
Vivien is tracking beasts for the Arkbow, almost taking Garruk’s old themes.
Domri, Xenagos, and Freyalise are dead.
Arlinn, Yanggu, Oko, Samut, and Tyvar, are all cool, but you can only do so much with them.
But Wrenn? She has Nissa’s connection to nature and mana. She has Vivien’s spirit of hunting down the perfect specimen for her needs. She has fighting spirit of Garruk or Huatli. She has the supernatural beauty of Kiora or Vraska. You could even have flashback sets show Wrenn and One through Five! She has tons of potential! I hope they make her a mainstay in MTG lore.

I had concerns that she was torturing her trees as well. I'm glad this is not the case.
Strange, great story but I need to go digging since I remember hearing some story back when modern horizons came out about how planeswalking would kill wrenns tree and the heartbreak of them dying is why she started naming them with numbers instead of proper names. I do like this though
What is the music used in this video?
Really like the addition of character voices you’ve added and the commentary at the end. I think an area of improvement would be to take more breaks. Commas, ends of sentences and new paragraphs are great places for a natural pause. I think slowing down a bit would make it flow more smoothly. Still, really enjoying your storytelling!
Where do I find Witch in the Woods? It didn’t appear on my screen nor was it obvious in the description.
I am most interested on that fire she speaks of. Do we now have a race of interdimensional dryads? Looks like Innistrad now has a new landmark. I think those two are going to run into each other fairly often given the association of trees with time and wisdom.
The fire in her body? i would assume that is her "Spark" And because she is a Dryad it manifests in a very physical and cool/dangerous way lol.

I have a strong feeling we are going back to get Zelphiner back as Tefferi now knows how to fix his mistake. We will be visiting or have it in a lore.
they already announced another Dominaria set, followed by the Brother's War..
since that time spell gone wrong was able to be reversed, maybe teferi can bring back zhalfir… maybe in Dominaria United?
Is Teferi the new old Jace?
Also. This one was much better written than the current average. That's a pace planeswalkers with years of lore attached can be developed in. It's nice to see Teferi learning, nice to peer into his massive insecurities that stem from wielding such power with what he correctly understands to be so little control. And it's nice to see Wrenn grow and bear fruit. She'd be the best partner ever to Nissa (romance only optional, though; it's not really necessary, and it's reeeeally hard to nail), as they're the ones who could arguably best understand each other.
There's a hint at another dominaria Set. What she says now might mean that They'll be able to get his continent back soon.
Wrenn really should be some sort of meld planeswalker. Like for this have Seven be a seven mana 7/7 with trample and some ability, and have Wrenn be like a bad 5 mana planeswalker and when they meld to wrenn and seven its a strong planeswalker

At the beginning she notes that the "best" trees are found on Innistrad. What happens when Wrenn finally gets to Lorwyn and sees that their trees are likely "better"? I mean, Colfenor wasn't a billion years old because he was a "bad tree".
We don’t know where One through Five came from so it’s possible she’s already been to Lorwyn and somehow found those trees lacking. Wrenn melds with trees and not sentient treefolk (although the trees basically become treefolk when she does).
This is better story wise. I don't mind side stories with the Tefari force. Though surprised they made him a tree racist with no idea how to use cancel magic

Your reading was excellent. Wrenn seems most interesting. but Teferi he is supposed to be one of the old walkers centuries if not millennia old and your telling me that he not only can't properly control his magic but can't undo his magic if someone interferes with it and need some novice to assist him? How has he survived. I always assumed his failure to restore his home was a matter of losing his spark and the massive power drop of the walkers as a result of the Mending but clearly is is just an incompetent mage on top of all that.
Curiously is this the only story of Wrenn?

It's was one of the most heartbreaking moments I've read in the time spiral block. For real.
Teferi phased out Zhalfir to begin with. He took its apparent loss hard because maybe he could have protected it some other way.
Well, that story was nothing short of amazing... no big action or such, but massive amounts of character building. And I really like Wrenn as a character. I had no idea about her at all, just knew she had a card in modern horizons.... and I thought she might be an antagonist further down the line, given how menacing she looked on her card. Instead we got one of the best green aligned planeswalkers in Magic. Also love it when magic is explained in fiction and especially when two characters meet who view it differently. Teferi might be a legend, but even so he got humbled and taught a lesson, which is also why I like him as a character... he is smart, but not arrogant as to think he knows it all best, instead choosing to learn from anyone he might learn something.
Do I ship these two?... maybe...
