Wow. that was an EXCELLENT tutorial. Wondered HOW to have a 4" gauge with my 3,50" swatch. You really helped me and I appreciate your kindness in making this video. THANKYOU. if you have the time please could you make a video for cable gauge? I am clueless and there are NO tutorials on this. Thanks for sharing and caring. 👍👍👍
Martha Lyons Thanks a million. You made my day. My cable tension requires 28sts x 26rows and 16st x 23rows in st st. Please. why does the pattern ask for both? the tension will differ in st at and cable? Please your advice will be greatly appreciated. I knitted the entire sweater using only the stockinette st gauge and crikes it was outta shape. Undid the entire thing. 😧😧 Thanks for your help.
Hi, This video is simply to measure a sample of knitting (swatch) to find out the number of stitches and rows in an inch. You would use these numbers to make any garment. Perhaps this video will help: ua-cam.com/video/3tQ0H_dP0ys/v-deo.html Thanks

Yes, you do need to get the gauge in cable. It naturally pulls in like a rib.
Hi I was wondering do I add the pearl stich if I'm using a 2x2 ribbing and then do the math like you explain?
If you are doing 2x2 ribbing, adjust the resulting number so it is a multiple of 4 plus 2.
If I know the number of stitches needed for the width how do I calculate the number of pegs needed?
I'm thinking you are referring to loom knitting. I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with it.
is it the measurement of chest or width of ur hip, please clear it for me ,thank u.
