If Batman convinces the player to release Frisk, he'll still have to deal with Frisk's own ability to SAVE. If Frisk's vessel status overrides their ability to SAVE, then Batman will have to deal with Flowey, the previous one in control of the timeline.

This one is really interesting because the idea of the Player, us, is a force he can't actually beat. Even if he succeeds in boring the player or getting the player to leave, it will only result in the game being deleted which in this case becomes destruction. He can't win period, and the more he tries, the worse it can get. And does this extend to other video game worlds? Comics that have video games attatched to them? Because then he's been possessed. The Player's only weakness is the script which is why in games like Undertale we stick out given the level of violence is what we pick. Even making deals with the Mobius Chair he should know, whatever the stand in for us is not like Mr Myxylptc, it's a whole lot worse. We are will itself. Batman faces a true inevitability in this confrontation that if he explores too much will discover, it loves him. It will do anything to be with him and enjoy his company. Most of us adore Batman in some way after all. But if he does anything that takes him away from us we go back to playing so Batman is trapped with us. One question I don't think I've ever seen Undertale theorists ask is whether or not Chara could reset. Because if they could, then virtually everything we think we know about Chara is null and void since the only information we have would be from their last loop with no way to know what they did in previous loops.
