Lure Painting | Easy lure design

Simple blue backed minnow. I had the idea for a simple half blue half white lure but realized it looked a little too simple so I needed to add some detail. First I had to add some texture to the back. Then I had to add some gill plate shadow. And finally I added some spots on the gill plate. There's a lot you can do with this design from adding a stripe down the side to experimenting with other base colors to suit your tastes.
