Great idea making the stripes by masking off the stencil. Thx! Extra tip…..when mixing epoxy I use a popsicle stick you can get at the dollar store. Clip the end off flat with side cutters so you can totally scrape the bottom of the mixing cup. Otherwise you can get streaks of unmixed epoxy which will result in soft spots that never cure on the finish. Also if you heat the epoxy five seconds in the microwave before stirring it gets slightly warm and mixes easier and more thoroughly
Thanks! Honestly, you can probably find all the colors in the Createx/Wicked brand. The other brand I use are Daler-Rowney FW acrylic inks. Being inks they are runnier which means lighter layers. My main reasons for using them is experimenting and they didn't have the exact colors in Createx at my local store.
Very nice! Thanks for sharing!
awesome guys, keep it up
Nice paint scheme and it should appeal to fish as well!
Thanks Mark!

Great tips, I sometimes heat up the epoxy with a hair dryer if it’s too viscous. Thanks!
Great bluegill pattern. Quick question on paint as I've only used Createx/Wicked; are the other brands in the video better?

@@FishingPhilosophy Gotcha, they look vibrant on camera. I'll have to check out a few colors. Thanks.
The Daler color, is it ink?
Yes, Daler-Rowney FW is an acrylic ink.
I am stealing the tape over stencil idea. I see you had marks on it on top and bottom. Was that from measuring prior?
Yep. I measured the width of the lure then drew it out on the tape to get in the number of stripes I wanted.
