I started with a cheap offer on Luminar 3. I liked it so upgraded even though I did not use it very often. Now I have Neo. I’ve hardly used it until this week but decided to try it on some holiday photos. I seriously liked the results I got much effort. Not sure about the sharpening as there were some halos, but they were much better than with my other photo programs. Tonight I have watched the “Complete Guide” video and have discovered the capabilities of the program. I will be learning and using it much more from now on.
I really liked your introductory video on Luminar Neo. I have watched quite a few other channels about this program but you really showed a lot of program features and how to utilize them so clearly. I am subscribing to our channel now. Thank you
Hello there.... Can you please contact me via my website (zdenkadarula.com). You are officially the winner of Luminar Neo License. ... You can also add me on instagram and send me DM If that is easier for you.... cheers and talk to you soon...
always good to take sky images and then create folders of various directions of light and type of sky (ie dark, sunset, moody, stormy etc) and then use the appropriate sky for the image that requires a new sky.
something many editors may like is that when removing things that are or have a portion thereof as a straight line, click at either end, hold down Shift and click on the opposite end and the item will now be selected will be erased. Keep in mind that erasures are often better done in short pieces but for some long straight items with no intervening items in the area, try a longer erasure as if a mistake is made, Ctrl + Z will bring back everything erased and then simply make another attempt selecting a smaller portion.
This video is one of the best for a beginner like myself. I now have a better understanding of how the various controls are used. I will revisit this video as I learn more about Liminar NEO
The feature I like the most is the presets which shows the different changes that the pro who created this accomplished. This way you can learn a little bit every time from clicking on a preset and seeing the adjustments. Other than that I loved everything. This program is far better and simpler than I imagined and I am glad I looked into it.
Keep in mind that it is always helpful to make images in both RAW and .jpg. Then by using Single image HDR it is possible to see where an image may go when doing an edit. Sometimes masking and adjusting the new HDR image may get the edit where it is needed.
Loved the sky replacement. Great Presentation. Laminar can do everything I use in PS except need to check if they have a brush section. If they do I am sold!!
a great intro video, esp. as I have been looking at photoshop too, but wow, how easy is this, all presets, which do all the masking, selective fill, but allow changes afterwards, to refine as you learn how to edit; Not to overuse the ai, but a fun, easy way to get started, esp. for a basic edit first, prior to any other work, or just for family photos, which you can have fun with.
Thanks Zdenka! I am going to order a copy of this program in a little bit. Thanks for your great review. Quick question? do you use in Envoto elements? Would you recommend it? Thank you.
Thanks for this informative video. Love it❤ I bought this just last week. Need to upgrade my mac as the ai option takes ages to process😢. Looking forward to more creative use of this awesome photo edit app.
This softwar is pretty awesome. Its like using Photoshop with the best of the best plug in's, but much easier & fluid. Zedenka, your skills demand that you own a (real) drone sweetie...Get a new DJI and open your world up to a whole new frontier...you wont regret it.
I have a new DJI drone 🤣🤣 it has been collecting dust for last four months. I used to fly a lot, but I’m losing interest in that. I am also noticing that it’s not that of interest on this.
Understood. Im just getting started in filming with my phone, but fly my drones as much as possible. Im going through your library, soaking up as much as I can. I received the Insta 360 flow today, based off of your advice. As soon as this brutal heat subsides, I look forward to trying it out. Thank you for everything, God Bless.@@ZdenkaDarula
I like the sky enhancer the most. Would like that the sharpening tool was more like LR5.7 where you can adjust the sharpening more. On the positive side, Luminar Neo will process RAW files from my 5Ds, which my version of LR don't do.
So I get the the little triangle with the ! mark at the top left of a picture in the catalog means it can't locate the picture, so how do I get rid of those?
It's a very common thing in our generation. Those of us approaching 40+ tend to be a bit stuck in our old ways preferring things to be "old school" (just a bit og self-irony). But this tool looks like a great timesaver and seems to do an impressive job.
keep in mind, there are many occasions where other objects will obscure the result so some additional work may be required. The Ai is not perfect but helps a lot.
Because l have not idea about this program, and looks easy for someone like me, total beginner l like everything l saw here. BUT NOW A QUESTION, l saw a while ago some photos example 1 the photo is b&w but was color only small section, a person, a dog, an object or said a square section, a circle, etc thank you fantastic video. Can l achieve this with this program???? Or do you know any that can create this effect plus.
Quite a few videos are available for achieving B/W or portions thereof available in YT. Just do a search for NEO Tutoirals and then maybe NEO Tutorials to create Black and White images.
Great Video! Als always. I do use Neo but still go back to LR ever so often. For me it is not a complete replacement for Adobe and I am afraid it never will, there is another Programm that might give my LR the boot and that is DxO Photolab, for now I use all three Programs until I decide wich one has to go....
Good for you. I like Lightroom and photoshop but I am having trouble with premiere… it freezes lots and crashes. I use PC. I will for sure check out the program you are mentioning… wishing you a great day
Great video. Many of these Neo videos are focused on the great tools within. Morely replacing P.S. and portrait pro etc. Looking for more culling, batch and sync settings for large proofing galleries to fully dump an LR work flow after this adobe sham going on. Most of this is self explanatory for pros. Just curios to see larger work flows. Maybe I'll make a video. We want the pros to see that large scale sessions for clients, are better on this platform then LR. Fav's, Sub folders, sync, renaming batch etc etc. Thanks!
I purchased Luminar AI around Nov.21 since Lum.Neo was to be released in Feb22 . after seeing introduction of Neo I find there are many improvements in various editing items . As such I would like to know if my luminar AI two seater can be upgraded at nominal charge or any other suggestion you may offer to avail Lum.Neo functions .
Good question but unfortunately I cannot answer this as I don’t know their pricing and how they go about those things. I only teach how to use it. It will be best to ask them directly
a simple program that will allow you to do this type of thing plus edit images, is PhotoScape X and it is totally free. I has a lot of features for folks doing what you want as well as adding frames to images.
Hi Have bought already a license That is why I looked to this video Because the software has so many features I did not know Thanks for the nice and good video explanation Greetings Hoogstoel Emile
This is totally missing the workflow most people need to follow. I don't go through every picture tinkering with adjustments, I would need to take a vacation after every shoot to do that. I bring hundreds of raw files and I need to process batches of similarly lit images the faster the better. In LR it's easy. In Luminar I've been wasting so much time I regretted buying this program.
This is the stuff that’s ruined photography. Proof of that if is the person talking about all these features while never mentioning a single thing about exposure, highlights, shadows, contrast, etc. This kind of software enables people who know nothing about photography to make videos about it…praising it just for a free copy from the developer. It apparently costs penny’s to be a shill for a company nowadays.
If you look at my website, you will see that I know a whole lot about photography. I have many awards for weddings and I have many covers, but it comes to fashion and glamour. I’ve been around for 18 years…. This software is for professionals that don’t need to talk about stuff like exposure anymore .. This is to speed up workflow …. But on the other hand, thank you for sharing. 2024 and some things you simply don’t need anymore it’s old-school.
CONGRATULATIONS @patart you are the winner of Luminar Neo License Giveaway... please get in touch with me via Instagram or my website.... cheers.
Wow!! Thanks Zdenka!! Can’t believe this. I will DM you on Instagram.

Please , how to colorize and restore old photo using Luminar Neo ? Appreciating your quick response
Unfortunately, this cannot be responded in a comment but rather in a tutorial
How do ya get to the catalog. Apparently I purchased skylum. Luminar pro.
I see nothing that allows you to import a photo
