    17 hours non-stop in economy! good luck.

      We do Brisbane to LAX non-stop in 13 hours. Not in economy though, not sure how I'd handle a long haul Y class flight.

      And on top of that, the 787 is very small compared to the 777, so economy is even tighter!!

    amazing plane with extraordinary range and efficiency.

    • @AysarAburrub
      @AysarAburrub 7 років тому

      the plane's been flying for 8 years now and nothing major has ever happened to it. Sure there are some incidents here and there, but hell if that doesnt happen to any major project, especially one of this size. They built a new fucking airplane not a bar of chocolate, of course there are going to be some mechanical issues. The Airbus A380 had an engine failure and another blown engine incident for fucks sake. Nothing is perfect, so yeah, the 787 is still a great plane and Boeing's been getting more and more orders every year, so you keep this bullshit report to yourself.

      typical of an idiot who has no point, you just resort to name calling like a buffoon. here's a tip, you should use more bold font, maybe it'll give your stupid opinion some more credit.

    Just as well Qantas finally received the 787-9 We might have never known this aircraft existed if it hadn't been to this.
    There are so many other airlines flying into SYD with the 7879.But get little or no recognition,

    The material used to construct the 787 body interrupts cellular signals. If you ever board a dream liner you'll notice an instant drop in mobile network coverage.

    Great video to be honest. exciting new time for Quantas. Is Alan Joyce from Dublin in Ireland? He stil has the Dublin accent though more of an Aussie accent in the mix.

    interesting press release for a long haul jetliner. Capable of flying Perth, AUS to London non-stop 14,520klms yet doesn't show off by flying Seattle to Sydney non-stop 12,474klms. Me thinks the freeloaders on board caused too much green ice which had to be 'unloaded' in Hawaii.

    • @pilot0845
      @pilot0845 7 років тому

      I believe it was to give the pilots another experience at actually flying the aircraft prior to making its very important landing at home. Of course, as the pilot flying, you want that landing to be absolutely perfect so practice makes perfect

    gamechanger?? this plane has been around for a few years already and other airlines already use this for numerous routes to Australia...qantas is merely catching up to the others. theres no need to brag about this. about time the ageing 747 are retired too!

    Most beautiful greenest and safe Boeing 787 with no air bleed from the engines that Airbus A350 and others use with carcinogenic air in the cabin from burnt engine oil entering the air bleed. The loss making A380 cattle carrier which has been bailed out by the European tax payer without there knowledge should be retired and replaced by the beautiful Boeing 787 - 10 which will cut toxic emissions. Airbus fly by wire has bugs and has caused many Airbus crashes but Airbus covers it up and blames pilot error every time to avoid paying for the deaths they have caused. Next time your on an Airbus and all the pilot tubes freeze and block you are dead as Airbus fly by wire has no other way of measuring speed so goes crazy and crashes the Airbus.

    I wouldn't and won't fly in one of these things,they're badly built and the batteries onboard catch fire and explode,worst jet Boeing have made since the 60's.
