- Poland has been in our sights since we started this journey and we are incredible excited to begin travelling around a country with so much beauty and history!
In this video we have one big day in Poznan, Poland trying to see all the best attractions around the city. Unfortunately Poznan has had a lot of construction lately and looks like it might continue for all of 2022 so we will need to be come back in 2023 ;)

My father was a prisoner of war in WW11in the city of Czarne, Poland for 27 months. I was going to fly over to see it when I was in Budapest, Hungry. Then I learned that nothing was left to see but two small rock gates. Y'all are incredible.
Wow! So much history in Poland, we feel fortunate to have been able to learn more about it whilst we were there.

Poznań was capital of Poland in 1290 - 1296. First capital was Gniezno (around 966 - ?1060's?)
Then Płock 1079-1138

Posługujesz się wiedzą zwyczajową, nie mającą potwierdzenia w dowodach naukowych. Szkolnym uproszczeniem historii na poziomie szkoły elementarnej. Czyli piszesz bzdury!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gniezno było tylko siedzibą biskupstwa! Nigdzie nie ma wzmianki pisanej o tym, że to była stolica! Zasada była taka gdzie książę, czy król tam jest stolica! Badania archeologiczne potwierdzają tezę, że i Mieszko i Bolesław Chrobry spędzali czas w Poznaniu. Poznańskie Palladium było najokazalszą murowaną budowlą Polski jeszcze w czasach Bolesława II Szczodrego. O Gnieźnie można mówić jako stolicy "duchowej" kraju. Pierwsi władcy trzymali się daleko od kościoła. Zresztą bunt przeciw chrześcijaństwu był najokrutniejszą wojną w dziejach naszej historii(Powstanie ludowe 1038 roku w Polsce). Straty nim spowodowane były znaczniejsze niż za czasów Polotu, czy II Wojny Światowej. Zniszczeń dopełnił najazd w roku 1038 Brzetysława I na Wielkopolskę. Brzetysław przyłączył także do swojego państwa Śląsk.

@@JordanandEmily He writes nonsense. Historical simplification. Gniezno was only the seat of the bishopric! There is no written record anywhere that it was the capital! The rule was where the prince or the king is, the capital is there! Archaeological research confirms the thesis that both Mieszko and Bolesław the Brave spent their time in Poznań. The Poznań Palladium was the most magnificent brick building in Poland in the times of Bolesław II the Generous.

@@JordanandEmily The renovation of the Old Market Square in Poznań is underway. The reconstruction began at the end of 2021 and will last until the fall of 2023. One of the largest drilling rigs in Poland is still in operation on site. The pile driver helps in securing excavations for archaeological research.

Instead of Lidl's pre-made coffee, try a flat white from Mc Donalds, its actually pretty decent quality for the price. Nothing like i tasted in Australia.

Loved this one, especially the recap. It’s a shame the town square was being renovated. I wasn’t sure what you meant by seeing the goats, I was thinking they were going to heard goats down the street by a shepherd……lol but I was pleasantly surprised when it was a clock. Loved the pink cathedral, so lavish & exquisite, it reminded me of a cathedral we saw in St Petersburg. Stay safe you two, miss you both, love you.xx mum ❤️🐐❤️

There is a salt mine called wieliczka.
We didn't make it to the salt mine this time around but it looks very cool! We will have to see it next time!

Śniadania warto jadać w tzw. barach mlecznych. Są tanie a wybór potraw duży. Nazwa może być myląca, bowiem serwują tam również dania mięsne. Kawa i ciastka to słaba opcja na rozpoczęcie dnia.
