I completely love mine. So quiet, rides better than any previous cars, including E class, V70, C class, Discovery and Discovery Sport, also Skoda Superb and Octavia. 55mpg in the real world in the D4. 20 inch wheels are not good but the seats are brilliant. Probably, with the 20's still the best riding car I've ever owned. Average 50+ mpg with the nearly silent D4 auto.
i think becuase, Air suspension systems are prone to mechanical issues. may also suffer malfunctions from rust or moisture damage from the inside, or an air fitting failure of the air tubing connecting to the air system. Leaks in air springs are also common and could lead to compressor burn out.,....so i guess Volvo prefered to stay with the standard system for his durabiliity if you compare it with the air suspension system.
I have tested the new volvo v90 inscription, i just liked everything about that car, also the t8 motor is really worth the money because it costs only 42.000 or so pounds for a 400 horse power engine. The only thing that wasn’t as good is that the leather from the seats do just about seem rubbish. That was very dissapointing....
I like it. Rivals boot is bigger but if you fold the Volvo seats down you get a huge amount of space.!!! If you fold the rivals rear seats down then the boot space would become insanely massive.😜

Volvo has created a completely mechanical process, of a air bottle being filled with pressurized air, and released during acceleration to spool up the turbos before the exhaust gas are enough to make it spin. It's probably electronically controlled, but it has noting to do with an electrical compressor... Even if the goal is the same. And sorry for the rant, this surely hasn't changed your life :-)

It is a nice looking machine, but I can't help but thinking that they've lost something of the utilitarian charm of the old boxy "wardorbe on wheels" look ... you could carry anything in the old 240 Estate ... these things are show ponies, not workhorses.

Beautiful looking estate, but I think Volvo has stripped the dash of too many buttons, and some buyers will be put off having to use the centre tablet for virtually all functions. Also I have to say, not many guys are brave enough to wear shocking pink jeans, never mind being filmed wearing them.

Volvo needs to change the design of V90 to bring back the square-ended boot (as they have now done with the new V60)- insufficient with this racked back for my purposes, having owned 940, V70 & T5s.

Volvo used to family car, now it is a car nobody can afford but the top. I mean what "family" brand would put the air condition controls in the back-seat where your children will go mental with the controls in their sibling fights? But at least it looks pretty.
Sorry that Interior is too Chinese for my taste. Too much "I HAVE MONEY SO I SHOW OFF!" Chinese market, or normal American Market I guess. It's not a bad interior otherwise though, but all that chrome is just not doing it for me. Which is a shame as the front of the car is soo pretty.

It's very nice, but mine is better: Jaguar XF-S Sportbrake. And it goes like the clappers. No way I trade it in for a Volvo.
